I was looking from the perspective of cost savings, resources, materials and load reduction, lower carbon footprint etc.
I think you interpreted my reason for asking those questions differently. I was asking if it's structurally adequate to use steel beams and smaller sized blocks for theexternal walls lif someone is doing a similar project.

1) Why wasn't steel beams used in place of constructing the 14m RC beams. Steel beams have good unsupported span.
2) If the building was Framed building, why wasn't the blocks of small sized like 6" or 5".
These two cases would have reduced the load footprint of the overall building on the foundation.

This blame game on MTN is pure witch hunting. Yes their parent company is South African but the MTN operating in Nigeria is a subsidiary of that called MTN Nigeria. It's even a publicly traded company on the NSE where you can buy shares. It employs majorly Nigerians.
The whole issue is that banks charge you for using USSD options to recharge then remit a percentage of that amount to get telecom companies. But banks as usual with anything Nigerian defaulted with that remittances so the telecom companies threatened to stop using USSD options. The Minister of communication and other stakeholders are currently intervening on the matter.
Yesterday even Airtel won't recharge through my bank USSD. I had to go to Airtel USSD option *444#. Chose the option recharge from bank. They will send you a USSD through sms where you then input based on the bank you chose and recharge will be available. The bank will charge you 20naira for that transaction which I think goes to the telecom company direct with the bank taking their own percentage unlike before.
So it's not only MTN.
Shoprite left the Nigerian market but there's still Shoprite in other African countries. Guess who will be affected if the new company that bought Shoprite shares decide to trim down their workforce? Nope not South African, Nigerians.

The real theatre was in Europe and parts of Africa. U.S was 10 times more powerful than Japan in all ramifications but we're not so experienced in war so lost a lot of resources. U.S joined the western front in 1944 ie Normandy landing where as the German machine was already depleted in eastern Europe. U.s herself as the saviour that came in and changed the tide in Europe. The truth is before the Normandy landings Russia was marching to liberated western Europe and marching to Berlin.

Soviet Union lost the most personnels because their philosophy was to win by shear strength or numerical advantage. The Americans and Britian (other half of the Allied forces) prefer to fight strategically.

Allied forces consisted of mainly American, British and Canadian forces, the rest of the countries you mention like Denmark, Poland, Belgium, France, Holland were soldiers that escaped after their countries were invaded and made it to the Britain and America.
Again read extensively, Japan never wanted for surrender even after Germany had and everybody agreed the war as ended so if the table were turned and Germany was still fighting, it'll very likely the atomic bomb would have dropped in Germany.

Even Russia is also at fault, because when Germany took the Rhineland and Austria,

Russia (ie USSR) agreed with Czechoslovakia that they would come to each other's help if Germany attacked any of them.

But there was a condition to it:

If Germany attacked Russia first, Czechoslovakia should come and help Russia so that Russia would come to Czechoslovakia help when Germany attacked Czechoslovakia.

It means that if Germany attacked Czechoslovakia first, Russia would not help Czechoslovakia.

According to the agreement which Russia itself initiated, Czechoslovakia must help Russia first so that Russia could help Czechoslovakia later.

It was a selfish agreement and I believe Russia would not have kept to the agreement if Czechoslovakia had helped her first.

Russia would not have helped Czechoslovakia, even if Czechoslovakia had helped Russia first.

So when Germany attacked Czechoslovakia, Russia did not help Czechoslovakia according to the agreement.

while your account is great and insightful, I think you're missing the point why WWII started in 1939. Germany sizing Rhineland isn't a world War in the same context as the recent Armenian war wasn't considered World War. Invading Austria and Czechslovakia follows the same condition. Iran declaring war on Israel will lead to a world war same way America or France declaring war on China because of the numerous military alliances those countries have with other countries that must come to their aid in times of war. Austria didn't have that. Poland did so when Germany invades Poland whereby forcing France and Britian to declare war on them, it then became a World War. So they are not wrong when they say WWII started in 1939 even though there are events that lead to that. If China declare war on India in the next decade say 2030, that's when it'll be recorded that WWIII, even though their Ladakh border standoff of last year might be what triggered it

half truth doesn't help in a good post like this. If Russia won WWII, who defeated the Germans from the sea, who defeated them from the air?. How was Germany pushed back from France and western Europe all the way back to Germany? or are you saying Russia somehow circumvent Eastern Europe to get the western part to push back the Germans?

The attack on Pearl Harbor wasn't an invasion. Invasion in a nutshell refers to occupying or taking over. Japan wasn't trying to occupy Hawaii, what they wanted was to prevent the US from attacking them when they invade the Phillipines.
