you quote a comment to say what you don't know. An Aircraft Carrier can't go anywhere alone. It moves in a CSG (Carrier Strike Group), it acts as a base for the country operating it to launch multiple sorties.

Efik, Ibibio, Annang have a lot in common. There are so many other tribes in both Akwa Ibom and Cross River that don't share something as simple as Language.
When Akwa Ibom broke out from Cross River, our dear cousins choose to stay in Cross River so that's their identity and their choice.
I'm happy if the two states can join together to become one and be prosperous but when you go to the grassroots you'll see they both have a very strong sense of state pride joining them together will bring about who should be the Alpha instead of meaningful development

Regional based autonomy will favour the North, South West and South East. why? their ethnicity is fairly similar so it easier to find a common ground for development. South South / Niger Delta will have a lot of problems as the ethnic groups situated in this region is so diverse in culture and tradition and sense of pride.
I feel like state autonomy is a much better prospect. Each state with room for more control their resources and make their own laws which should not contradict the overall constitution and are then taxable by the FG. This will bring about a common ground for competition among states and rapid development.

The part of about Europe being made up of many nations while in Nigeria the same is lumped up to form one country is the most common reason for Nigeria to restructure.
It's hard that a country that has so many Learned colleagues and National Assembly that want to develop can't see the solution that is so clear right before our eyes. The same elite spend their vacations in most of these countries but will fight tooth and nail to stop the same solution back home.
Middle East is predominantly Muslims but even they are divided into different countries.
If they really want to still be Nigeria then we should look to the USA where each state is allow to autonomous. Make its own laws that doesn't go in contrast to the overall constitution. Allow to develop at their own pace.
Sometimes when you think about Nigeria and knowing the solution is just at the turn of the page but the powerful few are so determine not to turn it, it becomes very disheartening.
