CodedWealth: I don't understand the point you're trying to make, What is the trend? There is a trend in which women are assume to be more spiritual than men They are entitled to be pleased. Some men ascribed women to be a weaker gender but they're not... If you study their manipulative scheme using their body or play a victim card. We often hear, they are to support men in marriage(helpmate) as if they don't need it. These makes some men feels that their whole world revolves around their women...Untill they got disappointed on different marital issues ....Does a woman need support? Yes, they do!... So, men should stop falling for such things. Fashion out the kind of man you want to become and aspire to be the best, appreciate both male & female. |

No hate against them... I am not a Redpill or whatever. I choose to be the best man.
There is a trend that I boldly caution against such as they're more spiritual, entitled to be pleased, a weaker vessel and just playing a supportive role. Don't fall for those things
We both experience the good, bad and ugly situations.

These countries that experienced military take over of govt have certain peculiarities and unique lifestyle and they don't condone oppression. ECOMOG intervention will further escalate more of military intervention of govt in W/Africa. So, it is ideal for negotiations to take place for a transition to civilian rule.
The coup plotter can't take over power, and you expect them return power in such a short time. They would want to understand the dynamics of govt and how it suppose to impact the citizens refers to good governance. They would want to understand why the democratic govt is not working in their country. When the military are satisfy begin to see light at the end of the tunnel, belief in democracy, they will align. |

To my surprise, the Malian Military Commander attended that meeting in Russia. ECOWAS needs to calm down, as this is not the moment to apply force. The previous ECOMOG operations have the support of the HOGs. 3 ECOWAS state already under a military regime, there is a need for caution. I hope NIA & NIIA should promptly advise PBAT.
Also, this is not the time to waste resources to sustain war by doing bidding for Niger. The fundamental root cause should be address by the ECOWAS.
They should seek diplomacy towards transition to civilian rule... Anything short of that, will not resolve issue rather worsening situation. |

Kobojunkie: What you said of equity applies to general partners and not to limited partners. The general is the basis of partners before other forms or types. While marriage can't be described as a business point to the fact there's no written agreement in value or otherwise. Nevertheless, your perception is welcome. |
Family › Re: My Name Is Not Included On The Document Of Land Bought By My Husband by Emanodimo(m): 12:56am On Jul 19, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: 1. Does a man also enjoy marital property not a matter of entitlement or claim?
2. Your assumption here makes no sense. Business partners do not all enjoy equal rights and limits. A partner at 30% can not expect to have equal rights and limits with a business parther who holds 70% shares in the company, right? A man also enjoy marital property not on a matter of entitlement or claim. Business partners are meant to have equal right. First, read the definition of Partnerships. The 30/70 is a form of partnership |

Kobojunkie: Quit yammering!
You are the one who said a woman should be expected to contributed fairly towards marital assets if she to be entitled to any of it meaning that you view marriage, which establishes marital property, as a business agreement. This discussion is clearly about what is already your perception. Not sure why you think denying the truth will change it. My perception is a woman enjoys marital property not a matter of entitlement or claim. From your own perception as business, they will have equal right and limit. |

Kobojunkie: Read your own comments. Your viewpoint doesn't seem any different from mine at all since those are many of the same words you used in describing marriage, more than once now. Why you keep refusing to apply the B word is beyond me.
They are common terms because a business describes any beneficial relationship between two or more people. Your perception of marriage as business can't be generally acceptable or defined. |

Kobojunkie: 1. We are not here discussing the court decisions but marriage itself.
2. Human rights apply even to non-law abiding citizens so I don't know what you are trying to get at. Marriage isn't a business partnership. Every human has an inalienable right. |

Kobojunkie: Yet you keep applying business-related terms such as agreement, partnership, contribution, assets... come on. Who are you trying to fool. You do know and believe marriage is nothing but a business agreement between two people but you just don't want to admit it. That's your own viewpoint about marriage. Different perspectives on what marriages is or not, yet there are common terms that can't change what it is. |
Family › Re: My Name Is Not Included On The Document Of Land Bought By My Husband by Emanodimo(m): 12:17am On Jul 19, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: The law does not add need for special contributions since the marriage agreement is what establishes marital property. The law doesn't require special contribution to lay claim on marital property, but the court will stand on evidence, in that regard your contribution speaks not on mere entitlement. As u human u are entitle to claim human rights but are u a law abiding person. |

And you do agree that both partner contribute their fair share as agreed by the couple, so what are you now saying? I have explained this in my previous comment that marriage is not a buiz agreement. Partner contribute their fair share towards their marital success in every form. |

Kobojunkie: So she has to contribute her fair share in order to be entitled to the proceeds hence it is a business agreement, right? Marriage is a form of partnership that couples agreed to that what a spouse bring or receive are often unequal yet they come together to build or contribute to their marital success in every form. |
Family › Re: My Name Is Not Included On The Document Of Land Bought By My Husband by Emanodimo(m): 11:34pm On Jul 18, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: So the marriage na business partnership after all since you believe she is only entitled if she is a contributing partner? Well, marriage isn't a business partnership. By your notion of marital property but not extended to be a contributing partner for an asset to be jointly owned, much that you have distinguish an asset from phone sub. So, on what ground does the share entitlement stands on? Even a dormant partner is oblige to contribute its quota, bound by the action of an active partner. The grace factor here is the loophole in law, that aim to balance issues but rather shift the pole as it is being fine tune to suit.

frozen70: To be honest, if the money he use in buying the land is his money only, he has the right to write any ones name, he can even choose to put his mother's name as he so wishes
But if you contributed a percentage to the money, thats when your demand will be authorized
Now the real issue
Both of you don't usually communicate as couple and discuss together on family issues thats why he didn't care to ask you what name to put on the land and you didn't ask him what name is he putting there
However, so far he carried you along before the purchase and after the purchase he has done what is expected of him
What next The next thing is to start discussing ideas on what building plans he has in mind
Is it for private or For commercial
This are the issues you have to be sharing with him, that will bring a synergy to both of you
As far as he is still alive that land belongs to you and him, But I can't really say what will be if he is not there
If he had wanted to actually involve you, he would have handed that land documents over to you, whether your name is there or not Just for you to keep it for safe keeping since you are couples
But there is a limit to what you can drag with him over that purchase and if he doesn't give you the documents to keep or you don't know where he kept the documents, then he must have given it to his family members to keep
So may God keep both of you alive to build and live there peacefully
Just relax and keep loving him ans take care of the family together
He may not even have any hidden agenda But you can't really tell
Yes you have three boys for him, you are not in his mind and can't say what is in his mind
But we hope it comes out positive With below comment, your first opinion contradict your further statement Both of you don't usually communicate as couple and discuss together on family issues thats why he didn't care to ask you what name to put on the land and you didn't ask him what name is he putting there If only she has met the first condition To be honest, if the money he use in buying the land is his money only, he has the right to write any ones name, he can even choose to put his mother's name as he so wishes |

Jeezuzpick: Hmmmm......if you bought the land together now, I would say there's a problem.
You said HE bought the land. And you want your name in the documents. Because it's land, ba? Do you ask for same when he buys a phone? What of when he buys a pair of shoes?
Anyway, since he's decided not to include your name, you should calm down and buy your own, if you can.
The attitude in most marriages is the wife telling the husband "what's mine is mine, what's yours is ours". Women need to stop this.
The man should have the right to will whatever he wants to whomever he likes, in his will.
This is why wills exist. People own their stuff and give it to whomever they damned well wish after they die
Just be a good wife and stop this act of yours. It makes men paranoid. You have said it all. |
