The "To whom it may concern" should be efficient also as far as the school stamp, seal, signature dey there. I'm not sure u need to affix a passport on that one since it's a letter

Culturally, head of the family is usually male and that's supposedly the Father. I think in this visa application case, the head of the family could be either male or female. If they specifically meant "Male/Father" they would have stated it there. So, head na head! Whether male or female

The requirment also says NPC certifate "OR" Age declaration by Head of family. Which means even if u don't have a birth certificate or NPC, your father can go to a court and do the age declaration for u and that will stand in place of everything else. Those wey una papa still dey alive, that's a better alternative (if ur father is the head of the family sha). Also try to collect and keep the receipt wey u take do the delcaration.

topeajis: The new requiremtn is nt that complecated sha people. The birth certificate issue if u don't have NPC own go to NPC offfice with the one u have na just 2500 or so sha.. The primary school stuff that one self no be wahala if u no get certificate u fit use ur testimonal self.. Na the I.D card matter one difficult forr all sha.. But we should be able to see an allternative self for that make well all reason am together. May be hostital card or something sha...

Yes u are right. They just need to locate their primary school and get even if it's a testimonial. What matters is the signature and stamp and also the period (date) the school was attended. Also be sure to include a passport photograph on the testimonial/certificate, and make sure the passport is stamped or sealed on the paper. If u also have a hospital family card, go to the hospital and tell them to issue u a personal card under the family card name, and it will contain the date the main family card carries. (That's if ur family card is over 5ys). US required these things from me when I applied so no be new thing. German embassy don dey open eye small small...lol. God dey sha

It is not compulsory u learn german. If ur course requires it, then I'm afraid u have to. Are u applying for an online course?

@Justkul... U are a wise man and I commend ur humility. No one gets paid for answering questions neither is there any award for contributors. When a question is asked and someone volunteers to answer, it is out of love and concern. Even if the information is not 100% accurate, people who are better informed should answer the enquirer directly rather than point out the wrongs in someone's suggestion.
No one knows it all, and whatever we are not sure of, we can give an insight and leave it up to those who know it better.
Throwing indirect shades at anyone is unnecessary. My post is actually directed to Wonderbros, just to be clear it's not a gossip!

It's a good question, I'm not really sure about this but I think u have to start from year 1. Others can throw more light

impactglobe: @emaka55, @kayusboss, @topeajis and others. thanks for your advice on the transcript. i had solicited to get the transcript so that i can photocopy it. so the next thing is that i will certify the copies in the court before dispatching them to the various deutsch institutions.

My other concern is that most of the transcripts send to schools usually have a letter as front page, which is usually addressed by the registrar to the organization or school it is going to. but with the photocopies now, no letters will be addressed by my schl to this schls. what is yr advice on this, do u think i should send certified photocopies without frontpage letters. your advice is really needed! thanks

Ur question is not really clear to me, as I don't understand if ur school is giving u ur original transcript or a photocopy and why wouldn't they include a front page letter?
From my point of view, my school included a front page letter in my transcript and it was addressed to Uni-assist, and i certified every part of it and used it for all the schools I applied to. I'd suggest ur school addresses the letter to Uni-assit if they'd include a front page letter so u can use it to apply to as many Universities as possible. It is safer to address it to Uni-assist than addressing it to a particular University since u intend using the same transcript for different schools

If u are looking for information cocerning eg- what are the requirements to study for masters in Germany. Instead of coming to ask the questions again or having to read thru the whole thread, just try this...

For example- go to google and type "What are the requirements to study for masters in germany/nairaland". U will find direct link to the page ur question what discussed on the thread. Just type your question in google and include germany and nairaland at the end. Every question u intend to ask has already been answered. If u need elaboration then u can ask.

U need your Wace result, a University 1st year transcript at least or A-level, u could also use ur HND (all certified), Motivation letter, the course application form, Cv, and if u are applying thru uni-assist, u need the passport page of ur international passport. Also check the University's website for additional documents and further information. If ur course in taught fully or partially in German, u need german language knowledge/certificate from Goethe institue in Lagos of up to B1. If taught entirely in English, u don't need german language knowledge to apply though a knowledge of at least A1 is essential for embassy. Nobody can really break it down for u up to the visa stage, if u can read what I wrote and understand then u can read thru the thread and understand. It is all in English!

But he made mention of a1,a2,b1 for underG and I told him I intend applying to courses entirely taught in english...he said I must also consider the embassy as the language cert might be required up to b1..
I felt I could just apply for english prog and just start a1 and a2 next yr just for easy communication in germo..although he said guys study for 8weeks and pass...classes are on now but can't make for now and it will be difficult to squeeze all the three levels....do you think embassy really ask for it..coz majority of English skools don't need it..just toefl or IELTS..thanks for the link boss...

Even though ur question was directed to Cindinho, sorry if I interfered. U do not need german language proficiency up to B1 to study for a program taught entirely in English, be it Bsc or Msc. Since urs is Bsc, what is adviceable is A1 and in some cases the V.O may not ask u but note that it is essential and urs may be diff. That language man, probably wants to make money or simply enjoys ur company

impactglobe: in such a case that school refuse to handover transcript to someone, is it ADVISABLE for such a person to send other docs while the school send the transcripts seperately? pls no yab, pls. keep the thread going!

U should also consider that your transcript needs to be certified. If ur school will be sending it directly to the universities, then they should consider certifying it. That would cost u quite a lot getting different transcripts for diff Universities especially when u are applying to Universities not under uni-assist.
Try get an agent that handles study and travel matters in the state where u reside and talk to them about using their address for ur transcript and ask ur school to send ur transcript directly to the agent's office and then go there to collect it. U and the agent could agree on something.

That means the course is fully or partially taught in german language and u need a german language certificate from Goethe to apply. Some courses also require an assesment test or personal interview to be accepted to the program and good knowledge of german like up to b1 gives u a better edge for exemption. Now don't ask me what is Goethe or what is "exemption" cos I know u and ur questions
