OK. Thanks.
Will contact CSL to do so.
Don't just contact them to do so. You are the one to request for the form, complete and send back to them. CSL will send to CSCS and CSCS will in turn send to Datamax that is the process.

When completing the form, in the space for the number of units write the number of units you bought at a deal if you bought your Gtco in tranches. E. g if you have 100k units of GTCO and you bought say twice of 70k and 30k units you will either write 70k or 30k units not 100k units this will cover for both.

Good morning guys. Sorry to be a bother, but please can anyone tell me how to sell my access bank shares. I have the certificate. Thanks
For any shares to be sold, it must first be dematerialized - the process of converting your holdings in a company into an electronic form.

The first thing to do is open a cscs/stock account and then submit your certificate to the stockbroker who then process it through the registrar and it will be domiciled into your cscs account; with your shares in cscs, you can issue a sale order to your broker to sell and in 3 days you get your cash into your bank account or you can do the selling yourself for a stockbroking firm that has an online trading platform.

True, but this is not the first time my Broker is buying for me on NASD.
if the price is falling that is a sign of an Offer.
It does not work straight that way. If a single cross is done even with a single buyer it will reflect as such in the market. I'm not trying to make case for your broker but I think the corporate action of Wamco at this time may be responsible since they have been buying before now as you noted. Just continue to remind them as long as the qualification date is still intact.

Good Morning friends,

Has anyone been able to buy FrieslandCampina WAMCO on the NASD?

I noticed the price is falling but my Broker cannot buy it.

Abi,my broker is playing pranks on me angry
Getting good stocks on NASD is not like in NGX. Activities are not much and couple with the recent corporate action of WAMCO it's not easy to get.
Though it can also depend on the broker with respect to how large their customer base on NASD is. The larger the customer base the better or easier since it will be more likely to have a seller(s) among the customers and a cross can easily be done.

Do brokerage houses convert naira to dollar or does a client have to have dollars to invest in Euro bonds?
By regulatory standards all investment must be done with the dominated currency ie clients must bring in dollar for a dollar dominated investment. There could be other arrangements but that will be peculiar to a particular investment firm. You have to find that out yourself.

Hello everyone.

Please I need guidance on the safest MMF to invest in with the current market rate. I would prefer something attached to a well known bank as this seems to be the safest bet.

I'm quite rusty, so would need all the assistance I can get.

PS. No Ponzi schemes please.

Best regards.
You can do Abacus money market fund with investment one. It has been taken over by GTCO of recent. As at 19th April rate was 4.87%

undecided Not true! The interest on Abacus is presently 4.87% (April 19, 2022)
Sorry about the wrong rate. There was no intention to mislead readers. This post was first written in February 2022 and it was a sleep of hand while I was editing I didn't see it. Actually I had 4.94% which was for 18th April before COB.

Thanks for bringing it to my notice. It has been corrected on the post.

Good evening everyone. Please can I get suggestions on safe investment one can go for. I was into treasury bill before now, but it has been down since 2020. Heard about mutual fund but I don't know anything about it.
Read this:

Abacus money market fund as the name implies is a MMF.

Principal underlying asset is treasury bills and commercial papers hence there is little or no risk at all. You can only lose money if the country no longer exist.

The interest is daily valued. It was 4.87% as at 19th April 2022 and it's upward looking base on economic realities right now. Interest can't be fixed because of market forces on Tbills but be rest assured there will always be interest and your capital is guaranteed.

If you are conservative with low risk appetite then Abacus mmf is best for you.

You earn interest daily but it's paid every quarter on the first day of the next quarter ie Jan 1st, April 1st, July 1st, Oct. 1st. You can also give instruction for your interest to be reinvested (compounding) which will be done automatically on those days as mentioned earlier. The one for last quarter was done April1st

Your capital and interest is guaranteed.

minimum holding period is 30days and initial deposit from 1,000.

Parties to the fund:

Fund manager - investment one
Trustees: United capital trustees ltd.
custodian: citibank
regulator: SEC

You can do everything online- register and monitor your account.

Depositing money is not restricted it can be any amount from 1,000 and at any interval without a specific pattern.
Whenever you invest in the fund, your interest is prorated to cover the period of your investment before the payment date.
That means if you register and invest say April 20th you will be paid interest for 20th to 30th of June for that period and continues till another payment date.

To open account click the link on my signature or get in touch with the phone number.

Also, the account number I am using was opened since 2005 , cannot remember the exact date.....But there is a space for that
No problem, It will not stop the account from being opened since you know the year. What the regulators want to achieve is that all accounts attached to your investment account should be older than six months.

I tried opening account with Investment one and got this reply, the only bill have I use to have for my address is the PHCN bill, ever since the JEDCO Plc came in I have been buying the unit via BUYPOWER which doesn't have address on the slip....

What do I do sir,
Alternatives to PHCN as proof of address or utility bill:

1. If it's not NIN slip you used for means of identification you can use NIN slip and in that case the address on the NIN slip will now be your residential address.

2. You can use the first page of your signed bank account statement. Like the first option the address on your bank statement will also be indicated as your residential address.
If you have account with GTBank and do internet banking you can generate a signed bank statement without going to the bank hall

3. You can use the current receipt or agreement of your tenancy

4. If you are in Lagos, LAWMA receipt can also be used.

If you need any further clarification. Call/chat with the number on my signature

Our gurus should also give buy alerts for NASD stocks just like the friesland wamco buy alert not long ago
NASD stocks are not very liquid like their counterparts on NGX. Activities are not much there. You may even get a buy or sell alert and to get a deal may take weeks or months or you may never get.
Apart from Wamco, cscs, Niger Delta, 11 Plc and Afriland properties you may not be able to have a deal with the rest stocks listed on NASD.
Some of the transactions you see there are more of cross deals.

Good morning house, please I need to know if it is possible for an individual to create a CSCS account without recoursing to a stockbroking firm?
if possible, how do I go about it? Thanks
No. cscs deal with stockbroking firm/house directly not individual, you need a stockbroking firm's platform to buy/sell equities on the floor of the NGX. However, after opening a cscs account with a stockbroker, you can subscribe to cscs Plc to have a real time access to your account, with that subscription, you get to know the position of your holdings real time in any company even if you have more than one cscs account with a single CHN.

To get the services of a stockbroking firm you can click the link on my signature to open account with investment one for free.

I get your analogy well but if you are filling a form and your cscs account is asked for: Is it only the cscs account you will fill or you should add the CHN. I beg no vex for my many questions.
cscs number/acct is different from CHN so write what you are asked. The institution/person asking knows the difference.

As already explained your CHN is unique and that is what other market operators or regulators e.g registrars needs when attending to investors. It always starts with letter C and ends with the first and second to the last letters of your surname. e.g if my surname is Emmanuel
my CHN will be C1234567EE.

Hello chief,

My own question is, how exactly does one do that transfer in order to fund one's Vantage Dollar Fund account? I was asked by a customer care agent of I-ONE's to visit a GTCO branch yesterday, but then the account number that I filled in the deposit slip was for Citibank and the teller said since it's not an account domiciled with GT she can't process it. So how exactly do I do the transfer to fund my account?
Get to any branch of your bank where your account is domicile and do a transfer to the Citibank account.

You can also do that using your internet banking or your bank app.

Pls how long does it take to move account from non active house to an active house. It is now a month and two weeks since I requested for it from my active broker. And I keep getting we are on it and will revert to you soon as response
All things being equal from the moment you submit all the required transfer documents to the new broking firm it takes max two weeks ie 10 working days.

Please also note that cscs plc is a major player here your broker is just an intermediary.
If you have a contact phone number of your new stockbroking firm place a call and demand to know exactly the current stage of the process. That will help you know where the delay is coming from.

Good morning to the Bosses in the house,
Is there any way someone can recover a share with just the dividend letter?
It is actually a 2400 unit of shares my dad bought around 2003 or there about,
I think the broker is first bank securities
All shares can be recovered except if sold.

To recover shares you need an acceptable means of identification at the registrars office, there you will be told all you need to know about your shares, you will even be told if your shares is in cscs through a stockbroker or the certificate is with you or not.

In any of the cases, you will need a stockbroking firm that will help to process your shares into cscs account. If the shares was bought through a broker and the broking firm is still functional then get in touch with them otherwise get a new functional stockbroking firm who will help to transfer your shares from the dead firm and you can now do whatever you wish with your shares.

For the dividend you don't need a broker for that. At the registrars office complete a mandate form and all your outstanding dividends will be processed and paid. Most registrars gives 10 working days to do that or depending on their work load.
I hope this helps.

I never filled or submitted any e-dividend forms, yet, Cutix credited my account in the last dividend payout. I bought through Morgan Capital grin
The final destination of total automation of investors dividend payment started last year and it's Yielding fruits.
We are waiting for all registrars to comply.

Please If you have not submitted your update and kyc to your stockbroker do so otherwise you will not enjoy the service.

Also make sure the name arrangement on your BVN is the same as the name you opened your stockbroking account with.

Getting your dividend on company's payment date always feels good.

Meristem will be great if they can automate dividend payment.
They charge 500 Naira and I still have to fill forms before dividends are paid
If you go through my previous posts you will understand that I have always stated it here that whatever has to do with dividend collection or payment is not the job of a stockbroking firm. It's between the investor, the company and the registrars.
Registrars serves as the payment firm while the company is the source of the money.

To get your dividend, complete the mandate form and submit to your bank or the registrar.

However, for some broking firms, they add dividend collection processing to their additional services to customers which always comes with a cost.

Emma thanks,

I need more understanding.

But the minimium for Treasury Bills is 50 million but people are able to buy with even 500k.

Does it mean that people with N1 million will not be able to buy FGN bonds in the primary market as well as secondary market?
Yes when you go through investment house/financial institution you can buy with less than N50 million.

Hello Gurus in the house,

Please i need a confirmation on FGN Bonds in the secondary and primary market.

I went to my broker they said the FGN Bonds for secondary market the minimum amount they can subscribe is N5 Million. Same thing with primary market. I want to confirm if that is true.
Each stockbroking or investment firm have their minimum deposit required from prospective Bond investor. It differs from one firm to the other. If you are to subscribe directly at the primary market you need N50 million.

It's this amount ( N50m) involved that brought about FGN Savings bond which investors can subscribe with a minimum of 5k and maximum of N50 million because many Nigerians can't afford N50 million.

Going by regulatory procedures, all monies for a particular investment must be brought in with the same currency denomination of that investment, any other arrangement is peculiar to that investment house and you will need to engage them on that.

For Investment one, to invest in VDF - Vantage dollar fund, you must bring in your dollars by transfer. Naira is not accepted for dollar mutual fund and vice versa
