I am also seeing the possibility of Flour mill buying us out in cash or assimilating into the main coy via share exchange like happened in CCNN & BUA. Or is HONYFLOUR going to continue as a separate entity afterwards?
Yes. As you mentioned they have the three options:

Buy out minority shareholders
Do share exchange at an agreed ratio
Honeywell operating as a separate entity and a subsidiary
The option they agree on will definitely be what will be to their advantage. The owners always put their interest first because to do business you have to mean business.

OBAGADAFFI:
We should be happy.

But it is dependent on how much HNG will pay shareholders.
This is what is happening:

There is just only two shareholders involved with one buyer.
The minority shareholders is to watch how things will play out, but from fundamentals point of view shareholders in Honeywell flourmills should be happy because the buyer is of a higher value than where they are currently.

FMN is buying holdings of two big shareholders in Honeywell flourmill
ie from Honeywell group Ltd and FBN.
The majority shareholder in Honeywell flourmill will change and that will change the ownership structure and in turn the administrative and corporate governance structure.

he don happen Flourmills Nigeria PLC has acquired Honeywell Flourmills PLC
Never say never. Nothing is impossible. The signs have been all over just that we had more doubters than those who believe it will happen. Remember when Honeywell move from N1.70 to N4 that was actually the climax. What we see today is the paper work.

That means you must have a Domiciliary account to invest in VDF.

Abeg house , I am confuse ooo , did FBHN declare any dividends ? I wake up to Alerts I don’t understand ooo
The dividend you received should be unclaimed dividends you have with them before now as far as it's not older than 12 years. They just updated your account. It's not only FBNH , they also did it for other companies they are managing.

The process for investors receiving their dividends automatically after share purchase is in the making.

Allboiz:
Do you guys have dollar mutual fund investment
Yes we do. Vantage dollar fund VDF.
You need $500 as initial deposit

VDF
The fund is an Open-ended Fixed Income Dollar Fund and will invest in Nigerian Originated Dollar Denominated assets (Sovereign and Corporates). The fund seeks to provide investors with bias for dollar denominated securities access to such securities, which ordinarily would be inaccessible to them by virtue of the minimum amount typically required to make such investments.

Key Features

· Open-ended unit trust scheme which is duly authorised registered in Nigeria

· The minimum investment amount is US$500 with additional investments in multiples of US$1.00. The Fund Manager however reserves the right to review these amounts as the need arises.

· Redemption will be paid within 5 Business Days after the relevant documents have been submitted to the Fund Manager.

· Every unit holder shall be entitled to receive from the Fund Manager an Electronic Certificate for the number of units purchased by such unit holder. The Electronic Certificate shall be conclusive evidence of the number of units held.

· The minimum holding period in the fund shall be 180 days. However, the Fund Manager is aware that investors might have need for their monies within the minimum holding period and as such would allow redemption during the minimum holding period subject to a 15% charge on the positive total return on the units being redeemed on the day of redemption.

· Dividend will be paid from the income earned to unit holders annually.

· Dividend can either be reinvested into the fund or credited into the unit holders’ bank accounts via electronic means

· Interest earned is currently between 4% to 6% per annum

I will rush to withdraw my money from Opaywealth then. Though am still enjoying it (50k and daily interest is #18). Please what is the monthly interest of vgif or Abacus using 50k as example sir. Please i will be greatful if you can help. Thanks in anticipation
Abacus rate as at yesterday was 7.56% per annum. You get interest prorated daily and the interest is paid or reinvested on the first day of another quarter.

Please note that Abacus money market fund is a low risk investment and the capital and returns are guaranteed.
Basically in most cases the lower the risk the lower the returns and vice versa.

If you have 50k you get a minimum 3,780 in a year which translate to 3,780/365 for a day ie 10.37.

These values changes once your capital increases by top up or decreases by partial redemption

Reason why I asked for the type of license. SEC issues different licenses for capital market operators, they have for lawyers, accountants, issuing houses, Investment banks, exchanges, fund managers, portfolio advisors. capital market agents etc.

He can't be a licensed fund manager, what is the name of his fund?
If he's registered as CMO and he operated a product that is not registered with SEC he can still be sanctioned. There are some stockbrokers who have gone under as result of such actions.

Is this 7.56% per annum, per quarter or what? Do you have two different mutual funds? What is this VGIF you mention sometimes?
The 7.56% is per annum but is prorated so that u earn interest daily.
Yes they are two different forms of mutual funds. Abacus is a money market fund while vgif is in the fixed income category of mutual funds. Their operations and rates differ.

SOME SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ABACUS MONEY MARKET FUND AND VGIF

Similarities:

They are both mutual funds and Low risk investments compare to stocks
Interest is earned daily, accrued and can be reinvested.
Capital and interest are guaranteed.
Redemption for both is 72hrs or less.
Opening account for both is same method and requirements.
Both funds can be invested in for minors
Bothe products accounts can be monitored online and with app.
ACCOUNT FOR BOTH FUNDS CAN BE OPENED BY CLICKING THE LINK ON MY SIGNATURE

Differences:

Abacus is money market fund while VGIF is fixed income
Rate of VGIF is benchmarked with SDF and can only change if the CBN changes SDF and will only take effect July 1st or January 1st. Rate for abacus is daily valued.
Underlying assets for Abacus are basically treasury bills and commercial papers; for VGIF it’s FGN bonds, some corporate bonds with very insignificant portion in stocks
Interest is paid twice a year for VGIF but quarterly for Abacus
Minimum withholding period for VGIF is 180days (6months) and 30 days ( 1month) for Abacus
Minimum initial deposit for VGIF is 50,000 and for Abacus is 1,000

Lazyyouth4u:
Of all the asset management firms in Naija, why are you the only one that is here marketing shamelessly every blessed day? Doesn’t that say something? undecided
@Lazyyouth4u thanks for your observations.
That you could observe I market is actually a plus base on my role at investment one.

The truth is that every profit making organizations do what is within the law to get customers and that can be at any forum that is allowed and they feel could help them meet their target.

There are other asset managers here perhaps they are not as aggressive in marketing as myself hence you think I'm the only one doing this here, it's most likely in other forums or media they are more prominent.

If you are in Nigeria particularly in Lagos you would have noticed large and expensive electronic billboards of very large organizations like MTN and the likes. That is marketing. Sometimes you get unsolicited sms from various telecom operators and banks introducing their products that is marketing.

So I have nothing to be ashamed of to market a product I know will help the finances of others. More so there are new entries into the forum who will need to learn from the different posts and make informed financial decisions.

You may be very much financially literate as not to need the posts but I can assure you many need it out there.

It will amaze you the responses I get and how some folks here have benefited.

Please understand, my marketing investment one is not a sign of anything to be weary about.

Investment one is a duely registered and sec regulated market operator in Nigeria with clients within and in diaspora.

There are verifiable data you can check up and many folks here who are already on board can testify.

By the way I don't mind if you can check us out.
I will personally be there for you to give you a VIP treatment.

I don't work for the firm you mentioned I'm with Investment One. Professionally, I'm not in a position to say a firm is good or bad rather all investors are advised to do their due diligence before making any investment decision.

However, you can check the post Look Well before you Leap I posted last year October and repeated 18th October 2021 on the treasury bills thread for some guide when choosing an investment product/firm.
