If after that date, you submit and processed your mandate your dividend will be paid but that will be after the payment date. |
Franky826:Check again. it's done. Interest reinvested for ione customers. |
onegentleguy:@OGG Thanks for your kind words. I really appreciate. Your good deeds are also all over the pages with your great and detailed analysis giving light and directions to many folks here. |
Curiouscity:Note that anything that has to do with dividend is between the registrars, the company and the investor. The only time your stockbroker is involved is when you decide to get your signature specimen to the registrar through them completing a transfer form which the broker will sent to cscs on your behalf and cscs in turn will send to the registrars involved before you can send your mandate to the registrar. Payment of dividend is not dependent on the stockbroker you bought your stock with. However, some Brokers will take up the services of helping clients recover unclaimed dividend- that is additional service and usually with a cost. Please note I'm not making case for meristem, neither do I work there. I'm just giving what is obtainable as per usual practice in the industry. |
Capitas7:The ID can be notarized and used, the issue will be BVN. It's a SEC stipulated rule. For any investment account to be opened for an investor in Nigeria, the BVN is a compulsory requirement. |
Camoready:By regulatory standards it should not go beyond 31st March. However, the CBN is a determining factor when it comes to the release of any Bank audited financial report. |
moneymanager:I don't think so. It's because GTCO was markdown today hence the drastic reduction in price. If Zenith was to be markdown today it will be in the same region. By Monday when Zenith is markdown they will almost be at par. The battle will be for a long time except one of them do something differently on the positive to get clear leadership as per price. |
SlahJoe:Absolutely free. Send a mail to request any time you need the document and it will be sent without any cost. However, for some of them if you are in their physical office and request for a hardcopy of your statement you will be requested to pay for the print out. |
Mpeace:Today is closure date for GTCO, if you buy today you are not qualified for the dividend, only investors' name on the register on or before yesterday which is the qualification date that can get dividend. The day of closure of register is by 12am of that day hence market opens with ex-div price. If the closure date is a range, by the first day it's effected. Let's be well guided. |
gabscity:All stockbrokers or financial institutions are just agent to the FGN for the collection of subscriptions from investing public that is all. Information from them are the same they will receive from the DMO which you can also get in the public space. Allotment will be done by the issuer and you get the evidence in your cscs account after allotment. The allotment will also be made public just as the subscription. After the allotment, you can check your cscs online if you subscribe to CSCS Plc or ask your stockbroker to send your cscs statement. |
veetubes:I hope you completed and sent your transfer form to ione before sending your e mandate to the registrar. If yes you will get your dividend otherwise contact the registrar by Friday to know the status of your mandate |
davit:All rates quoted on any investment widow particularly regulated ones like CP are per annum. |
Ades1:For the fact that you didn't hear doesn't mean there is no rumors/leaks. If you meet the right person/persons you will get more than enough. There is really no secret under the sun. |
Heishere:Expect this type of bonus from companies who will opt for non cancelation of unissued shares between now and December this year as directed by regulators Presco took the lead and now NPFMFB. For companies with sound fundamentals, it will be a good experience for the shareholders as long as they are able to keep increasing their earnings. |
ucvin:From your post it shows you've got no investment strategy in place. If you continue this way the market may look like gambling. Whether trading or long term you need to do some analysis at least basic fundamentals of any stock you are interested in, that will give you reason to buy, sell or hold. The first step is to have investment objective For instance if you are a long term investor there is no need of panic because a stock loss just in one day trade when the fundamentals of that stock is still intact. Most times price movement doesn't bother a long term investor a dip is always an opportunity to buy more if there is cash. Also understand what real loss/gain and paper loss/gain means. It's good to listen or read what others say about a stock but as always adviced by good analyst and following best investment practice always do your due diligence. Don't be in a hurry, you can't make all the money in a twinkling of an eye. If a stock gain or loss try to understand why this will give you reason to stay, move away or or enter more. I remembered a situation where an investor started panicing as he saw a stock lost heavily on a particular day only for him to find out that it was the day the stock was markdown to give effect to the corporate action of the company. The company in question declared dividend and bonus and that drag down the price on that day. If not that knowledge he could develop high BP for nothing. Getting to understand what you are into could also help. Try and understand basic operations and behavior of the market. Then keep this in mind Rule No. 1 don't lose money Rule No. 2 don't forget rule No. 1 - Warren Buffet. |

yMcy56:You are correct. In fact the wahala they faced is even more than what is reported to the public. The elephant is indeed strong. The coast is clearer for them now. |
Mfunkynation:Coronation Registrars. call this number 01 2272570, I spoke with them last Thursday. I will suggest before you call if you are using more than one stockbroking firm check the cscs from each to be sure your bonus was not credited to another house different from the one you are checking. |
Biafran4life:Nah so. After working hard and working smart what do you expect the next thing nah to chop with two hands. |
Biafran4life:Market is not irrational its action is based on expectation. If the market expects some level of performance and the company goes below that expectation it will bashed, the sector also determines as well as the current state of the company, market normally have good sentiments towards a company coming out of the woods. Imagine if Zenith bank pays N1, Wapco N1 and FBN 70kobo. I'm sure Zenith will be bashed while Wapco will be appreciated of course FBN will be taken to the sky in terms of price, that is market for you with a mind of its own. |
Dollarwoman:If he has never done stock investment till this moment let him put the money in a money market fund and get his capital and interest back in peace at the end of the year to avoid stories that touch the heart; However, if sources of income is sure and still very steady or he understands the risk involve in stock investment he can just get some zenith and ucap he will be fine. |

Kolping:I hope you are checking the right account. If you supplied your CHN during the purchase it suppose to be there after allotment and can only be out if you sell or transfer. First contact your stockbroker for your current cscs statement for confirmation again. Otherwise the cscs I think your shares was deposited is the non trading account or different from the one you checked. You will need to contact Coronation Registrars, they will sort you out. |
AoifeNightfall:Two ways you can use NIN slip during account opening of any of our products: 1. NIN is one of the means of identification you can use during account open. 2. If you use other means of identification like voters card, drivers license or Int'l passport you can also use NIN slip in place of your utility bill in that case, the address on your NIN slip should be the same address you fill as residential and contact address on the online form. |
