this axa mansard I am always afraid because they are not bank.. The money I am putting is not mine, so I am always very careful not to enter problem.. If not I need a good rate mutual fund investment
Why are you afraid? For your information no mutual fund manager is Money deposit bank. operationally and by corporate entity point of view IBTC bank is different from IBTC fund managers. So you could as well be afraid of IBTC if you are afraid of axa mansard. Same applies to other fund managers.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your advice on the previous issue I had.

I need your clarification on this. I opened a mmf account with United Capital and I funded the account yesterday (one off payment). The money reflected today but with no interest. I saw a "Subscribe" button and I am not sure whether I am supposed to click on it before my money starts accruing interest.

Please help. This is my first mmf account sad
Since your money is in the account already, the system will do the needful. It's an automated system. Don't worry yourself. Your interest is counting already if you invested before 2pm yesterday.

Good morning, please how do I start if I want to do treasury bills? What are the requirements?
Go to your bank and inform the customer care your intention, they will direct you. You don't need any special requirement. Have your money in your bank account, for bank like FBN and IBTC 100k or more and get to your bank Monday of the week of primary auction or any business day for secondary market, complete the required form which doesn't require any attach document and you are good to go.

For instance, within the space of 6months or one year, will it be more profitable or better to go into Treasury Bills or Mutual Fund?
Which will eventually pay off better; TB or MMF?
If your fund is a one off ie in bulk go as Kryptem said.
But If it’s going to be in beats of 100k or less within the 6 months or one year go for mutual funds and pick option of reinvest interest/dividend

Hi everyone..
Please when is the next TB auction date?

Do i wait for it or go ahead with this low rate. I am aware the banks do sell secondary market. What is the best way to get the primary rates and through what means.

Thanks for your response.
Just a week from today 31st July 2019.
Wait perhaps if there could be respite as per rates.

Hello house.
Please a friend wants to find out if besides getting daily interest on an MMF investment. If an investor will still get quarterly dividend ?
Secondly, can one be topping his initial investment. Like adding 50k to an initial 200k investment every month ?
Again, please what's the penalty, if one decides to withdraw his money from this investment?
Thank you for your response
1. interest is earned daily but paid quarterly. It's the same daily interest that you will get at the end of each quarter
2. You can top up your investment at anytime and with any amount not below minimum deposit without any specific pattern- monthly, weekly, yearly etc.

3. No penalty provided your investment has been with the company 30 days or more.

I just need full clarification about this 30 days calendar thing... Do I need to wait every 30 days to withdraw my interest in other to avoid chargeshuh?
Interest are earned everyday but paid to clients every quarter. If you want to withdraw part of your investment you can do so without any charges after 30 days of deposit. However, if you are liquidating ie withdrawing all your money both your interest and capital will be paid in full without any charge even before the end of a quarter provided your investment is 30 days or more old.

Please, is there anyone that uses FBN EDGE here?
After KYC verification, how does one fund the account and then invest?
Though, I have sent them email message as regards this, they usually don't reply until after days. Confirmation of KYC was even weeks.
Any guide on the FBN EDGE APP (as regards funding and investing) will be highly appreciated.
Thanks!

Ok. Thanks. Help me with this :

Please, who knows how Stanbic IBTC Money Market Fund calculate their value of investment They said it's the number of units held X current bid price per unit. I saw Money Market Yield= 12.7 on the website and i saw Bid price =N1.00 Under Fund Price on their app...Someone should please help?
what you saw are two different things. Bid price is the quoted price of any MMF. For most MMF if not all their price is always same either N1 or N100. You are correct- your value is bid price multiply by number of units. The 12.7% is the rate (interest you get on the value of your fund. Though it's per annum, it's usually scaled down to a daily rate which means each daily rate on the value of your fund will be 12.7/365. I hope this help

Thank you my brother for the observation. Seems stanbic IBTC is only just been hyped based on past performance
Don't forget the saying in most mutual funds prospectus "Past Performance Is No Guarantee of Future Results" Always be objective in making investment decisions

Hey Great minds here,

Please can anyone help provide the fees for Stanbic, FBN and Investment One?
Also, is VAT deducted from proceeds?
No fees for investment one A chat from investment one: The fees are paid backend Sir and as such does not directly affect the client.

For AMMF manged by investment one and MMF generally no VAT deduction from proceeds.

Hello. My father recently retired; though he has not been paid his retirement benefits (still processing it), I am looking for good investment options for him. He has really suffered in this life, so I want him to enjoy the fruits of his labour. I spoke with a friend about this, and he said something about investing in mutual funds. Please I want to really know more about it and then I need advice on good options to take.
Like it's said don't put your eggs in one basket except if it's God's basket.
The best practice is to invest portions of the total funds into
1. Treasury Bills
2. Mutual funds
3. Bonds
4. Good dividend paying stocks
5. small business that is less stressful considering his age.
All the options will depend largely on the amount involved and the risk tolerance with all other things been equal.

Is anyone else not getting SMS notifications after logging in to the FBN app?

Also, interest from Monday and Tuesday are t reflecting till now.

Please drop your observations.
NB: It's end of a quarter, they are balancing their books with dividend payment or re-investment depending on option of clients. Most likely by today or before Friday you will see all the accrued interest in your account. Notice that if you opt for reinvestment of dividend by now you would have seen ii reinvested. Getting sms is normal when you login to your account.
