hermesprogidy: There is no verification taking place. The departments that do those things have been dissolved. Those are just media statements to keep people happy. Elon just needs your $8. They don't need those departments, verification with payment details is automatic. Once you pay with your card you've just verified yourself already. It's no longer who is big or not.l Link your card and you're good to go |

If only seun can charge all users 200 a month or 2k a year to have ability to quote and reply posts.
500 naira to register as a NL member.
It'll stop some nonsense I see on here.
Seun you should really do something like this then top it off with the ability to block certain people so we don't see their posts |

Politics › Re: CBN Had My Approval In Replacing Naira Notes - Buhari by emmy512(m): 9:58pm On Oct 30, 2022 |
djon78: The issue is that many of these people don't have critical and analytical thinking
Many don't think deep
Infact this policy CBN holds everyone of them by the balls
Because they are completely replacing old currency
So simply monitoring every money to be released And placing a cap on the amount to be given each individual and company Has already controlled the situation
Another thing for a whole Minister of finance to come out and be saying what she was saying
You will understand that this policy really caught all of them unawares
Buhari and emefiele really played all of them A knock out punch
It was a closed tight kept secret
I believe they got the policy right Naira will be hit But with time when everything stabilizes it will later appreciate They got it spot on One of the few good things he has done. It'll be the cap on his reign as presido in history books. |
Politics › Re: CBN Had My Approval In Replacing Naira Notes - Buhari by emmy512(m): 9:55pm On Oct 30, 2022 |
omonnakoda: Why? Why is that a good thing? For one to checkmate hoarding, Drag criminals and terror financiers out directly or indirectly It'll help reduce vote buying already by next election as those who have old notes already to give out will have just worthless papers. CBN plan of also reducing amount that'll be out in circulation is the beginning of the real cashless policy plus the right now given to telcos to serve as mini banks for rural and less developed areas. I think the cashless economy is just beginning And a lot of other reasons I can't think of. But just know for every disadvantage anyone can mention they're already 3 advantages |
Politics › Re: CBN Had My Approval In Replacing Naira Notes - Buhari by emmy512(m): 9:42pm On Oct 30, 2022 |
omonnakoda: Do not misquote me
If the stated objective is to stop tkidnapping how will THAT be measured?
Knowing what is banked is very easy What is not clear is why that is a good or bad thing
We do not have the financial infrastructure and logistics to support cashless economy so it is not clear what the CBN is trying to achieve is it to reduce kidnapping or to encourage cashlessness and WHY that cannot be achieved with current banknotes why is it necessary to change the design to achieve that? The CBN can reduce the supply of notes by not printing more and the old notes would eventually be mopped up as they wear and tear
Why is a redesigned note an essential part of the policy? Reducing supply will work but it'll take time for the old notes to wear or go extinct and government of the day don't want to waste time on this. This plan is more effective impromptu than slow and steady |
Politics › Re: CBN Had My Approval In Replacing Naira Notes - Buhari by emmy512(m): 9:37pm On Oct 30, 2022 |
djon78: The thing na very big trap The property seller, even the BDC will still want to Lodge the money in the bank
That's where CBN will lay trap and catch them
Even the corrupt bankers are all under this trap
The CBN knows the amount every bank have They knew that over 2.7 trillions were out of the banks hands
So any banker that does anyhow will be caught
Even with the fall of Naira If CBN handle this excrecise well. Naira will later appreciate
There is this saying that power is nothing without control
So the CBN is bringing the control now and will catch every abuser Thanks for this explanation, I've tried to explain this thing to people that it's a big trap for everyone involved. I'll use your explanation next time |
Politics › Re: CBN Had My Approval In Replacing Naira Notes - Buhari by emmy512(m): 9:35pm On Oct 30, 2022 |
nedu666: Which blokos. The currency comes out on 15 dec. So they hve ample time to either pay in the money into the bank, use it to buy govt treasury bills and bonds, buy stocks, buy dollars, buy properties. Only a mumu can be caught unaware by buhari That's the idea, the government wants them to bank it and it's only a "mumu" criminal that'll actually bank their loot right now. You are aware deposit of a certain amount are usually declared and CBN has the right to check the source of those funds? Whatever they wish to do with that money apart from burning it will put it back into the system and they can still be traced with it. Before you even buy stocks the forms you'll fill for KYC, Will the stocks be bought with cash? Even if it were the money will still enter the system A lot to explain but typing long stuff the tire me |

tuoyoojo: I need to be schooled
It is extrapolated that by redesigning the currency , corrupt politicians , looters, kidnappers would be forced to bring out there share of 3 trillion not domiciled in banks
So what stops these people from changing their old naira notes to into dollars in bureau de change , wait for the new notes and change it back to the new notes
Someone school me pls BDC will loose their dollars and face scrutiny for bringing in huge amount of Naira. Already you know there's a form to fill for transactions over a certain amount where you can be summoned to explain how u got it and if you say you are a BDC you can be asked to provide whoever had such amount to you. It's a risk for the BDC. I don't see any of them collecting billions or millions of naira in cash when they can loose everything |
