I really don't believe all that you've said about Giggs but sure can't day zilch to make see things in another way. These rookies need an understudy remember? Moreso, with the performance Giggs churns out week in week out, which club won't keep him back? Remember that this is a business venture that seeks to go with the pack that delivers results unless being an Arsenal is what you desire of United. SAF is all about getting results and will readily go with any formation and personality that guarantees much of that and in Giggs i can see that. Scholes i can't understand but for Giggs, you don't just lay a player like that off. He is still productive and can use that opportunity to teach the younger one. But as you said, to be played against less tough opponents. If Giggs was to feature in that Barcelona game, why not pair him as a partner to Rooney and then pack the middle with energy players. Whatever be said, SAF sshould go and sign back CQ and then from there do a good GK and then Sneider. Aside these, i think we are ok. |

HNIC:All these woulda been necessary if we had lost the league or to Chelsea. Arsenal's game was a one off and dominating the stats still means nothing. If it were a crucial game, we woulda treated as ssuch. Compare to the FA cup quarters and get back to me. United does it the hard way!! |

Fletcher, Carrick and Giggs Combo in the middle and then, A Park, Valencia and Rooney attack will suffice because of their defensive and tracking back qualities. The central defense will have to be the same. But i guess Fabio rather than O'shea though i can quess who Fergie will go for |

They have issues with the Super Mod Mukina. No gain saying we missed them and i hope they can be allowed to post. Same as TKB. The few times they've tried to come in with other pseudonyms, they've been cut out. This is appealing to Mukina and Debosky to allow these guys participate, regardless of what may have gone wrong. the sports section is fast losing its salt!! |

Good game for Anderson, Valencia, Gibson, Johnny and Smalling! I think it was a good showing for them give my initial pessimism. Though i wasn't happy with their play at the later stages of the first half!! Let's see how May 28 looks like but i ain't having any hope |

Only those who don't know what the car market says will think this car is over-priced. I am waiting for a link to show where i can buy a 2007 Range for N4m This car may not worth as much as N4m but i am sure that it won't be less than N3.6m(my guess) All the same, if you won't buy, let the seller haggle with interested buyers. |

I expect Smalling to be given a start, Rio played thru injury during the UCL and with his cares and twitter happy fingers, i want to see him more on big games so he needs to be well managed. I understand Rafael is fit for this one but if they don't mind, O'shea can start. Anderson and Scholes can have a run at this one as well, but we need a strong blend in the middle to curtail Citeh runs and i also envisage a situation where Mancini is going to be defensive minded again, so lots of creativity is needed. Giggs needs a rest so does Park. Nani and Valencia can start. If things go well, i hope to see someone like Owen at some point. The formation against Chelsea will work in this game; 4-4-2 in attack and 4-5-1 in defence but it needs lots of energy to prosecute especially the wingers and the support striker and i don't envisage Berba has the kinda energy that Rooney has to drop into the mid field and also move into attack seamlessly!! But let's see how this one goes |

I am still feeling like we won the UCL yesterday! I say it again, it took Fergie donkey years to discover the UCL formula and since then, we've not looked back. United is just a different team at the UCL. I think i loved their composure and complete concentration for most part of the match! The moment it was lost led to a goal. . . .so u can see its effect. I also appreciate the fact that Rio was brave enough to play thru pains and the work rate of Giggs and Park. We can also attribute our fortune to the having the luck of having key players fit for the game. We are soo good that our highest scorer was on the bench for this game. Fergie na master strategist!!! But guys, would the game have been tougher or the result different had Drogba started? |
