I'm of the candid opinion that education is in its death throes here, if we do not take urgent steps to sanitise the system, not minding whose ox is gored, we may as well kiss any prospects of training ourselves an kids goodbye. I cannot fathom why we just keep missing it an all scales, in all spheres. This is really alarming.

This idea is lofty but is it feasible? I doubt. Reminds me about when I wrote my final exams few months back, despite pleas and protest on the students part, no feather was ruffled. This is just one head among the hydra-headed monster facing our nation, the earlier we sort it out, the better for everyone concerned.

HealthRe: 6 Side Effects Of Eating Too Much Salt by emperormossad(m): 4:22pm On Oct 20, 2017
OboOlora:
first 2 points are not accurate and I will explain.
Nutritionists recommend 8glasses of water or more a day. If I consume this, chances are I will urinate more often than neccesary. It doesnt mean my kidney is failing. Also, if i work in an air-conditioned place, I will sweat less and urinate more since that's the only way the body excretes the fluid i'm consuming.
BTW, how do we measure 1teaspoonful when every food we consume contains salt and some of us even eat out. Eating healthy is very very expensive OP.
In my house, I practically eat alone cos i'm on zero salt level.
Haaah...sister you can't be on zero salt level na... grin

I hear. Give me examples of the most thoughts provoking pieces of human art and tell me they were not personified.

The raised arms of this statue do not even have fists, that should have symbolized struggle.

If it had been the intention of the commissioners to provoke deep thought by omitting the head, they failed woefully! What does the head stand for in the first place?

Honestly, they insult the memory of Abami Eda by erecting this absurdity. A bomber or Caterpillar driver should do justice to that thing ASAP.
How much about Leonardo do you know?
CelebritiesRe: Why The Statue Of Fela Kuti In Lagos Is Headless by emperormossad(m): 9:59am On Oct 19, 2017
This is real art personified, look out most of the famous painting and art works in man's history; it's often intermixed with art that have deep meanings, you cannot just appreciate them from face value, their meanings are 'hidden'. It takes reflective or critical perusal or appraisal to understand what they really stand for and i think this one belongs to that category. nice work.

Shey the media has carefully scrapped out the particular religion that was massacred, but we know. Everything this thing happens, Bharti and his so called league of local spokesmen keep giving sympathies without concrete solutions. People are giving their all to make this country one meanwhile those who are leading us are going a different direction. Tomorrow now, the military in collaboration with Lai Mohammed will have the guts to to tell the masses that Nigeria is winning the war against terrorism. Enough with all these lies ooo. Enough of all this propaganda. Islamizing Nigeria will not and will never happen.
Feel free to quote me as much as you want, I won't reply you.
God bless you sir.

Christianity EtcRe: How Easy Is Inter- Denominational Marriage In Your Church? by emperormossad(m): 10:36am On Sep 24, 2017
Ezigbonmadu:
Some of your stories are false, misleading or fishy. Many things don't just add up. I also attend RCCG but my parents and siblings (most of whom are now married in that church now) still attend Deeperlife.
Deeperlife has the strictest and most formal marriage process in any church in Nigeria. They introduced medical tests before other churches recently started following suit.
There are other formalities in Deeperlife wedding, that includes at least six months mandatory courtship during which couples are expected to maintain strict decorum. Precisely, you shouldn't "sample" each other, not even inappropriate touching. Also, you're expected to report periodically to a marriage committee who will advise and guide you throughout the courtship.
Ask your friend if he has complied accordingly. I'm certain DLBC marry out their daughters to other churches. But you have to do it as they do it. If he has played by the rules, there's nothing stopping him from asking the church why he's being delayed. This is why I said your post is fishy.
So there are 'rules' for someone to 'play' by before he/she gets married? Who enacted those rules? I attend the same church but I must admit that these customs are not just archaic but retrogressive. Has the rules stopped them from having unhappy marriages? For a certainty I know they have quite a number of them, and they're too ashamed to talk about it for fear of the unknown. All these rules are hogwash.

Sometimes the PASTOR might have seen somethings that might go wrong in the marriage

But sometimes it's better you let them make their mistakes so that they can learn from it and together mould it.

After all there is no one with a perfect union.
My dear, no pastor sees anything. No pastor has the prerogative to 'see' anything in anyone's relationship. That is not his calling. If he doesn't want to give his blessings, he should state so or remain silent otherwise. He cannot see what his own fate will be tomorrow but he can see something in another person's life. God is not an author of confusion.

We claim to love each other, claim to come from the same womb, birthed by mother Earth herself, and we cannot even have conversations devoid of hate, malice amongst ourselves. A faceless medium as this, one in which 90% will never get to meet themselves in any form, and yet we wash our dirty linen in public. When any of us decides to leave the shores of this country, even if it's for something close to a peaceful life, we declare the person a non-patriot. How can we claim to have love when we cannot even show it? We cannot give what we do not have. We lack love, we lack empathy and things will not change with this nature inherent in us. I'm not here to crticicize, condemn or complain about any particular person(s). Let's just love. It is not just the absence of hate but the willingness to see your neighbors progress. Two wrongs can never and will never make a right. If this is what love is, if what we are experiencing everyday is aptly termed love, then maybe I'd love to see displays of 'hatred', perhaps the difference will convince me to accept our behaviours as reasonable enough. Let's quit hatred. All of us.

Thank you sir, but I hope you know hurricanes do not come alone. The storm generated got there, yes it did. But let's not deviate. The proximity of both regions give me cause for concern (Caribbean and S/America); I may be wrong.

Why do you think the "White Media" would highlight White looters? Texas was hit....you really think were Black looters that caused the governor to broadcast his stern warning? As seen in pics.... Island ravished by Irma....predominantly Black population... do they rush in water and emergency supplies?...no...they rushed in troops to prevent looting. Hurricane Katherina...Florida.... disaster...Ninth Ward..Blacks...people trapped...death and devastation....National Guard called in to police the victims because of 'looting and gang activities'....no reloef nor rescue rushed in. Texas....White population affected.... billions immediately passed in Congress... to rescue and rebuild and compensate. Open your eyes.... or before you know it. .. you'll be brainwashed by the media.
@ topic...nice pics...gives us an insight into the devastation. But millions?...only Cuba and Jamaica have a few million people...... all those other islands affected by Irma don't have a combined population of half a million!
Guyana alone has a population close to 800,000. Get your facts right.

Women didnt do this, women didnt do that...what abiut what you males DO NOT DO or SHOULD DO??...what efforts do you men do to make your marriage work??ost of you males here in Nigeria are the most selfish,self-centered specie of humans on earth...

All you do is sit around saturated with over-bloated egos, expecting women to kill themselves to make you happy 1hile you goof around with little or no thoughts to make YOUR WOMAN happy as well.... at the end of the day you end up as really bad husbands and fathers...Girls and women are always told to be perfect for their husbands while boys are left to run wild, grow to marry one lady and make her life miserable wirh his bad behaviour..

Like someone said most males in Nigeria do not deserve a faithful woman..and thats a fact..
Like faithfulness is in your DNA bah...tell the GF's to your brothers to run off na, tell your mom to look for the next exit. Most men don't deserve faithful women, coming from a faithful wannabe of cuz. Nonsense. You better go and marry your faithful foreigner and stop spitting bile here. Mtcheew

All of you saying men will always be men, when e happen no come here come form thread dey lambast us oo. Be careful what you wish for. That's how ladies will tell you they want faithful men, when they see faithful men they'll reject them or worse still accept him and goad him into cheating with bad mouth and lifestyle, but when they meet the serial cheat, they'll chase after him and deceive themselves that they can make the man change. For all of you insisting it's in men's nature to cheat, I hope you get what you wish for.

100% right. Why would women be blamed for the bad habit of men.. when severally they have mentioned they can't eat one soup for too long.. its just in their nature to explore, it has nothing to do with their wives/girlfriends. I have seen men with beautiful spouse cheat. Will they tell me BEYONCE is dirty or not good looking that was why Jay cheated.. ladies should be smart enough to know men will always be men, no matter what they do. Abi the wives are not worth fighting for?? Oo yeah! I hope our women learn to love themselves and be happy, life is too short.
I for talk something now but make I keep quiet on that issue. But remember, if men will always be men, don't expect to have a faithful partner, no need to pray for one sef. No need. Cos it will come down to that stereotype you've been wired with...that men will cheat. So from day 1 of your r/ship or marriage, decide if you also want to cheat or not. Your choice.
