Obviously, striking a misbehaving wife is not a good measure for a husband. Striking could further provoke the wife, which could in turn result in more dire consequence like a full blown fist fight between the couple. And such a fight could yield all degrees of injuries and even death.

Therefore, the truthfulness in this verse is unverified. To account for this, some Muslims, particularly the reformists have proposed alternate translation of "wadhribuhoona"(strike them) - separate from them OR Report/Cite them. I've supported either reformist positions in the past. But I look at things differently nowadays.

Changing and attributing another meaning entirely to a verse that is clear. The idea behind the verse is not essentially about hitting, striking or beating your wife. Dont curry flavor the ayah. It is clear. Those you try to please beat the heck off thier women. Visit households of self proclaimed 'reformists', they have history of domestic violence. We dont need them to give other meanings to the clear verse. Da ra ba is exactly what it is. "Separate from the" or "report/cite them" have their own arabic meanings

** “There shall be Prophethood (nubûwwah) among you for as long as Allâh wishes it to be among you. Then it shall be lifted up when Allâh wishes to lift it up.


** Then there shall be successorship (khilâfa) on the pattern (minhâj) of Prophetship for as long as Allâh wishes it to be. Then it shall be lifted up when Allâh wishes to lift it up.


** Then there shall be a trying kingship (mulkan `addan) for as long as Allâh wishes it to be. Then it shall be lifted up when Allâh wishes to lift it up.


** Then there shall be a tyrannical kingship (mulkan jabrîyyatan) for as long as Allâh wishes it to be. Then it shall be lifted up when Allâh wishes to lift it up.


** Then there shall be successorship on the pattern of Prophetship.”

Narrated from Hudhayfa by Ahmad with a sound chain as stated by al-Zayn in the Musnad (14:163 #18319) and as indicated by al-Haythamî (5:188-189): “Narrated by Ahmad, al-Bazzâr with a more complete wording, and al-Tabarânî partly, in al-Awsat. The narrators in its chain are trustworthy.” Also narrated from Abû `Ubaydah by al-Tabarânî in al-Kabîr (1:157) with the wording “Then there shall be kingship and tyranny” after the mention of successorship.



I believe that we have reached the pinnacle of these kingships before disagreement ensued within house of Saudi with regards to succession. The last successionship mentioned in the Hadith is emergence of Imam Mahdi (as).

From this Hadith we can infer that the current kingdom of Saudi Arabia is not upon proper guidance of Islam. Any wonder this Hadith is not mentioned in Sahih Bukhari and Muslim they so much love to quote?. That's very suspicious because they can easily tell us that this Hadith is not Sahih. Who is fooling who?

Your conscience doesn't allow you to rest, right?. You are worried because you know you are astray as the verses rightly said. It is true that it is debatable since Quran doesn't explicitly mention Jews and CHRISTIANS. For me personally, it is exactly Jews and CHRISTIANS the most probable religious societies alluded to because these two and Islam have undeniable historic moments and especially with Quran makes lots of references to them and their characteristics with respect to belief system. There is no doubt the Ayah is referring to matter of belief.



We may also say these ayat are speaking generally about any religious communities like Hinduism, Buddhists, etc. They too are misguided mushrikun and we seen in the Quran that Allah chastised mushrikun (idolaters)and their wickedness along with Jews (Q 5:82). In this ayah (Q 5:82), it clearly said it out loud that the Jews (not all) and idolaters (not all) have the same traits of hatred for Islam and muslims.


Now let's look to see evidence in our contemporary world. Look at India, majority Hindus (idolaters). China majority Buddhists (idolaters). Burma majority Buddhists (idolaters). Israel majority Jews has very close relation with India...israel-india alliance against their muslim neighbors. See how India is treating Kashmir (majority muslims). See how israel is treating Palestinians(majority muslims). See how China is treating her muslim citizens by destroying Masajid and putting muslims in concentration camps. See Burma caged Muslims like chickens. So you can see Jews and mushrikun behave same way exactly like they did in history and at the time Quran was revealed. This kind of behavior earns Allah's anger.


Christians on the other hand are portrayed in the Ayah as "dolal" i:e misguided or astray. But they are not necessarily wicked because there are section of them (eastern Orthodox) which shows love and affection for Muslims. Unfortunately, you, Mr. True2god sorry, false2god belongs to wicked section of CHRISTIANITY. What you said above however is from your own twisted notion. So verses 6 & 7, we pray that we don't earn God's anger like these wicked communities I mentioned above. And we also pray that we are never astray(as CHRISTIANs) and stand firm on the right Path that Allah is pleased with, Al-Islam.

Now, “fight” and “killed” DO NOT mean the same thing.

So, why would a translator use one and another translator use the other?

This again confirms my claim that ISLAM is a bunch of contradiction. It will be disingenuous of you to claim that a PRESENT TENSE of a word and a PAST TENSE of that same word do not affect the meaning of the sentence they are used in. Perhaps it is only in Islam that this is possible.

When it comes to Islam you guys will claim that DIFFERENCES are immaterial. But when it comes to any other religion you insist that such differences are enough to justify its rejection.

If how the Koran is recited around the world today is different then NOT all Korans are identical. Otherwise there should be uniformity. It is ridiculous the think that an all knowing Allah will choose to confuse his followers with all these same words that can mean different things and be used in whatever way the reader wishes.

You see, in Yoruba we also constructed our own when we say "Olohun ba wa ke anobi ati awon ara ile re, ati awón sahaba re". The same is true of solati fatih. Just because it is in Arabic doesn't mean it is any different. Content is what is important. There is absolutely nothing in solati fatih that goes against Sharia. It is prayer and Nabi (saw) never restricted salawat to only solati Ibrahimiya.

Been looking for this book, Nahj al-Balagha. This is the book where you can find solati of Sayyidina Ali (KaramAllahu Wajhah) which he made for prophet Muhammad(SAW). Abdelkabir once asked for the evidence.

Issue 436: The following actions, related to drinking water, are Makruh (Arabic: مكروه, transliterated: makrooh or makrūh) is a disliked or offensive act (literally "detestable" or "abominable" ):

Drinking too much.

Drinking water after eating fatty foods.

Drinking with the left hand.

Drinking while standing, in the evening.

This reminds me of the hadith on Muhammad ordering the killing of all dogs, or black dogs. Obviously, Jesus isn't killing the pigs for food. So, why kill the pigs? Isn't this animal abuse? Doesn't Islam forbid this?

Apply a little bit of wisdom. So you expect Jesus to go around and killing pigs and breaking crosses?. This is foolishness.

This Hadith is symbolic. It is symbolically talking about end of tyranny who were cursed by Allah and turned to apes and pigs Q 5:60

Apes and pigs mentioned in this Ayah doesn't necessarily mean pigs in literal sense either. It could mean their behaviors. Today they behave like pigs and want the rest of the world to be like them. So Jesus killing pigs symbolises killing the behavioral system of the animal. So sorry, I don't expect him to go around and killing every pig just like when he returns he will break the cross. He will break the cross means bye bye to Christianity. It is a symbol.
