I dont think you get my point. When they colonized those countries, they did not de-colonized them. As you can see, all these countries are still subservient to Queen. All these countries constitutions are influenced by British and french today.Haiti and Trinidad and Tobago are clear example. They still rule these countries closely. See why I said he's controversial and unpredictable at the moment. At some point during his campaign he frown at Israel. What Israel PM said up there is his words not Trump. I have to personally overlook his loose mouth bcus that doesn't concern me at all. The only thing that's gonna make me make concise decision about him is Palestinian issue. Even if Hillary Clinton won, Palestinian state is not feasible. She was secretary of state but could not achieve it.

If you have been reading all along, you would not have made this comment. A simple Youtube video search in American muslim wedding would tell you this is human norm. For your claim to be valid, you have to bring islamic source(s) that forbids appointing Imam or Alfa to conducting nikkah. In the West they also take their matrimonial issues to Imam or Sheik for counseling. dont know why this is issue. No one says it is compulsory imam or Alfa should be there.

In Yorubaland and everywhere other places, people love to have nikkah conducted by a figure. This is why they call Alfas. In the west, they call imams or Shaykh. It's a norm that islam does not forbids. Islam recognizes even nikkah of non Muslims.

Some even said (with conditions ), bride and groom may conduct nikkah themselves. This isn't going down well in Yorubaland. I support former which calls for witnesses.

Again, the sister knew too well in that environment possibility of being asked to kneel. She should opt for court wedding instead. When a culture such as this is interjected in nikkah but it's neutral there is no reason to make big noise over it. I hope her husband supports her decision. .....otherwise, that may be the end of their relationship.

I don't think I said it's proper. It is very simple. They knew from the out start possibility of this happening. So why invite him? . That's the point. I didn't say the norm is right. Arabs have theirs that is neither in conflict with sharia not haram. Same we talking about here. If a practice is neutral it's irrelevant to try to involve Islam in it. Arabs kiss each other. Well considering that none of what was publicized about Trump by the media was news, I would say he had it quite easy. He picked the right party to run under, like he described them , "gullible, will believe anything" Moving on, for Hillary, she was constantly and consistently distracted by the so called "leaks". Overall, the moral of this story is to show what a sham democracy is. Nigeria has been a long running stinky example and we can blame it on "backwardness" abi.
