*THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DEVOTIONAL.* CHURCH OF NIGERIA _(ANGLICAN COMMUNION)_ *DATE:* SATURDAY, 3RD MAY, 2025 *THEME:* LIVING WITH A PURPOSE *TEXT:* EPHESIANS 1: 7-12 _*(NKJV)*_ 1:7. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 1:8. which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 1:9. having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 1:10. that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth -- in Him. 1:11. In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 1:12. that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. *MESSAGE:* God does nothing without setting out first, his purpose (Isa. 46: 10). It therefore becomes crucial for us to search out through the help of the Holy Spirit, his purpose for choosing us; otherwise, we would be found to be abusers of ourselves. Our text reveals the mystery of God's will or purpose for choosing us in Christ: It is because God wanted a people He will call his own, his own inheritance (v.11). He wanted a people set apart for himself alone, and destined for a glorious living. As his inheritance, we are predestined to play a key role in his unfolding purpose that will make everything conform to his will. We are to live in a way to bring him glory and praise. Are you living out this purpose? Is Christ finding full expression in your life, family, place of work, business and career? God's desire is that as He looks down on the earth, where He has placed you to occupy for him, He will see nothing but Christ, fully expressed. Anything you are doing here on earth, if it does not showcase Christ, is an abuse of divine investment in your life. *PRAYER:* Father, please prevail over me. Help me to live for You alone, *Amen!* *QUOTE FOR THE DAY* God Says: _"There is no place you can go to escape My presence."_ *Psalm 139: 7-10* |

THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DAILY DEVOTIONAL OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION) DATE: FRIDAY, MAY 02, 2025 TOPIC: PRAISE THAT IS ROOTED IN REVELATION READ: EPHESIANS 1:1-6 (NKJV) 1:1. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus: 1:2. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1:3. Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly [places] in Christ, 1:4. just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 1:5. having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 1:6. to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved. THE MESSAGE: When we receive a revelation-based knowledge of our position in Christ, we will praise more than we pray. Of course, prayer is not negotiable, for every believer. As a matter of fact, our prayers would be worthwhile if we will simply ask God to open our eyes to see our position in Christ Jesus. We will praise from the depth of our hearts with Paul thus, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ" when we see how sufficiently blessed we are because we are united with Christ. Christians have been chosen in Christ to live a holy and blameless life. They have also been predestined to be adopted as members of God's family. Do you know that as a Christian, you lack no gift? Do you realise you are also enriched by Him in everything and blessed with all spiritual blessings? Beloved, every challenge or trouble, no matter how great, can be melted today as you offer from the depth of your heart, praise rooted in this revelation. Have you been adopted into God's family? Find a time to praise Him today! PRAYER: Father, open my eyes to see my position in Christ and help me to reach out in faith to tap into Your blessings for me. |

*THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DEVOTIONAL.* CHURCH OF NIGERIA _(ANGLICAN COMMUNION)_ *DATE:* THURSDAY, 1ST MAY, 2025 _*{St. Philip's and St. James' the Apostles}*_ *THEME:* WISDOM FOR GOING THROUGH TRIALS *TEXT:* JAMES 1: 1-12 _*(NKJV)*_ 1:1. James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. 1:2. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 1:3. knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 1:4. But let patience have [its] perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 1:5. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 1:6. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 1:7. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 1:8. [he is] a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. 1:9. Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, 1:10. but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. 1:11. For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits. 1:12. Blessed [is] the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. *MESSAGE:* Trials cannot be separated from our faith as Christians and rather than pick offence when trials come, we are admonished from our text to count it all joy when we are faced with trials. This joy is to flow from the knowledge of the weight of virtue/glory these trials are working out in and through us. Therefore, the ultimate purpose for which trials are part of our faith is for our all-round growth. The nature of the trials of our faith requires wisdom which only God can give, if we must go through them and come out victorious. The following actions are recommended from our text, when we face trials: (1) Acknowledge that you lack wisdom to handle the many trials that confront you (vv. 5, 9-11) (2) Look away from the situation unto God (vv. 6- ![]() (3) Ask God for wisdom and trust him completely (vv. 5-6), and (4) Fix your eyes on the blessings that come with enduring trials (v.12). *PRAYER:* Father, I confess that I lack the wisdom to handle the trials of my faith. Please, grant me the wisdom and grace to both overcome and endure in Jesus' Name. *Amen* *QUOTE FOR THE DAY* God Says: _"You can hold on to the hope that I will not change what I have promised."_ *Hebrews 6: 17-18* HAPPY NEW MONTH |

THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DAILY DEVOTIONAL OF THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION) DATE: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30, 2025 TOPIC: ALIVE IN CHRIST READ: 1 CORINTHIANS 15:12-22 (NKJV) 15:12. Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 15:13. But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. 15:14. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching [is] empty and your faith [is] also empty. 15:15. Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up -- if in fact the dead do not rise. 15:16. For if [the] dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. 15:17. And if Christ is not risen, your faith [is] futile; you are still in your sins! 15:18. Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 15:19. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. 15:20. But now Christ is risen from the dead, [and] has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 15:21. For since by man [came] death, by Man also [came] the resurrection of the dead. 15:22. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. THE MESSAGE: In today's text, Paul takes up an argument about some who said that there is no resurrection from the dead. He argued that if there is no resurrection, then Christ is not risen, the preaching of the Gospel is useless and people were still in their sins while those who died in Christ had perished. Without resurrection, those who put their faith in Christ should be most pitiable. However, Christ is risen from the dead as the first fruits of those who had died, and Paul concluded that as all men die in Adam, so shall all men be made alive in Christ. According to Wikipedia, universal resurrection is the belief in a resurrection of or from the dead by which most or all dead people would be brought back to life. Apart from Christianity, other religions believe in the resurrection from the dead. The Bible talks of two types of resurrection: Resurrection of life (for believers) and the resurrection of condemnation (for unbelievers) (John 5:28-29). In which resurrection will you partake? Believe in Christ and live for His glory if you want to be in the resurrection of life. PRAYER: Precious Father, I believe in the risen Lord, and I hope to be made alive in Him, Amen! |

Anglican Daily Fountain Devotional for Today April 28, 2025 (St. Mark’s Day; Transferred) TOPIC: PAUL MISSES MARK TEXT: 2 Timothy 4:9-15(NKJV) 4:9. Be diligent to come to me quickly; 4:10. for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica — Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia. 4:11. Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for ministry. 4:12. And Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus. 4:13. Bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas when you come — and the books, especially the parchments. 4:14. Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm. May the Lord repay him according to his works. 4:15. You also must beware of him, for he has greatly resisted our words. STUDY: Today we celebrate the life and ministry of St. Mark the evangelist. Mark is believed to have been a close companion of Apostle Peter and the author of the Gospel of Mark. He is also a founder of the Church in Alexandria, Egypt. As a young believer he abandoned Paul and his evangelistic team in Pamphylia and returned to Jerusalem (Acts 13:13). This angered Paul and decided he was not needed anymore (Acts 15:36-39). However, he repented and returned to Antioch and grew to be a great disciple of Jesus. Some persons do not value what they have until they lose it. A time came in the life of Apostle Paul that only Luke remained with him. He had to request Timothy to bring John Mark who had now become useful to him. Mark however have improved himself so much that while ministering with Barnabas in Cyprus; he became more useful to Paul. Does someone miss you when you are not around? How useful are you to the work of God? Does your pastor long for your return when you travel out of town? First, you need to improve your spiritual life and you will be useful to God and the brethren. PRAYER: Help me, Lord, to be relevant and useful in people’s lives, and in Your Kingdom, in Jesus’ name. Amen! |

*THE DAILY FOUNTAIN DEVOTIONAL.* CHURCH OF NIGERIA _(ANGLICAN COMMUNION)_ *DATE:* SUNDAY, 27TH APRIL, 2025 _*{Easter 1}*_ *THEME:* A LIVING HOPE *TEXT:* 1 PETER 1: 3-9 _*(NKJV)*_ 1:3. Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1:4. to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 1:5. who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1:6. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 1:7. that the genuineness of your faith, [being] much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 1:8. whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see [Him,] yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 1:9. receiving the end of your faith -- the salvation of [your] souls. *MESSAGE:* In today's text, we see Apostle Peter blessing God for giving us a living hope for an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that is reserved for Christians in Heaven. We also find that Christians are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation that will be revealed at last. As Christians, we rejoice in our salvation despite various trials and fiery test of the genuineness of our faith to the praise, honour, and glory of Jesus Christ at his coming. As believers, we love and believe in Jesus Christ and rejoice with deep joy because of the salvation of our souls. In times of difficulties, hardship, economic depression, violence, wars and destruction of life and property, people easily lose hope but as Christians, we are expected to rejoice and glorify God because we have a living hope of our inheritance in heaven. Are you part of those with a reserved inheritance in heaven? If not, you can turn your hopelessness to a glorious living hope by trusting in the finished work of Christ on the cross. Give your heart to the Lord Jesus now and receive a living hope, even the hope of having eternal life in the life to come. *PRAYER:* Thank You, Lord, for accepting to come into my life and giving me a living hope. *QUOTE FOR THE DAY* God Says: _"Seek My kingdom first and everything you need will be given to you."_ *Luke 12: 31* |
Thank God, she safe and sound. I think this exam bodies should restrategize in their quest to bring out the best in this students in writing exam not to expose our kids to unnecessary dangers of having to journey to other locations to write exam. |
Reason why most of our ladies end up in the alter of sacrifice, and the numbers of missing girls keep rising by the day. None of them will appreciate the little efforts you make in this current economy or the one you offer..they will dump you immediately they find the ones that can offer flashy stuffs, not minding the source of wealth and that's how some will end up in their prime. Too bad some of our religious institutions even holds much praises for the wealthy and regard those who don't belong to such class as nothing. |
