READ: EPHESIANS 3:14-21 (NKJV)

3:14. For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
3:15. from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
3:16. that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
3:17. that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
3:18. may be able to comprehend with all the saints what [is] the width and length and depth and height --
3:19. to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

THE MESSAGE:

God is the first and ultimate Father. In fact, fatherhood finds its true source in Him. Every father has the responsibility of providing the needs of his children. We cannot think less of our Father in heaven whose love towards Paul concluded by saying that God is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

God knows every of our needs and has enough resources to meet all of them. For instance, the Father knows that we need more than a physical strength to survive in life and He has therefore provided for the extra through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. Knowing how loving our Father is, shall we not even now delight ourselves in His love, rooted and grounded in it? Until we relate with God as our Father, we will not be bold to make our requests known to Him and of course, we will find our Christian life full of all sorts of struggles. Ask God to adopt you as a son today.

PRAYER: Help me Lord to know You as my Father who loves me and who is responsible for all my needs.

READ: EPHESIANS 2:11-22 (NKJV)

2:11. Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh -- who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands --
2:12. that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
2:13. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
2:14. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
2:15. having abolished in His flesh the enmity, [that is,] the law of commandments [contained] in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man [from] the two, [thus] making peace,
2:16. and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.

THE MESSAGE:

Christ abolished the law of Moses with all of its commandments, ordinances, and rituals, and provided a new covenant entirely for both Jews and Gentiles, making them one and on the same level, in all things. For us as Gentiles, this implies that we are no longer outsiders or aliens, but fellow citizens with every other Christian - we belong now to the household of God.

The greatest asset of every believer in Christ Jesus is access to the Father. "For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father." So let us come near to God with a sincere heart and a sure faith. with hearts that have been purified from a guilty conscience and with bodies washed with clean water" (Hebrews 10:22; GNT). Are you making most of the access you have? Do you know you can approach the Father? Do take your burdens to Him? You have an access! Take it to the Lord in prayer.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the access You have given me in Christ Jesus into Your very presence. Help me to always come boldly.

THE MESSAGE:

The work of salvation began with God's loving-kindness towards man. It is because of His love that He sent His Son into the world, not to condemn it but that through Him, the world might be saved. Due to the nature of man which was corrupted when he fell, God went ahead to fulfil the demands of redemption, all by Himself. This leaves us with no room to boast as to any contribution to the work of salvation. It is indeed all by Grace! In order to walk acceptably therefore, we must constantly acknowledge this fact that "By Grace are ye saved through faith..."

We fail and fall whenever we stop looking at the cross - the work of grace. For there, all our struggles finished - struggles with sin, sickness, self and every satanic influence over our lives. Grace obtained all these for us. It is as we come to terms with this truth that we can walk into the actual life God has ordained for us, "Created in Christ Jesus unto good works." Have you been saved by grace?

PRAYER: Thank You heavenly Father for Your mercies that found me and the work of grace that now saves me through faith. Help me to keep acknowledging this work of grace all my days.

MESSAGE:
Our text for today reveals the life of an unregenerated soul and compares it with the quickening power of the gospel of Christ. The unregenerated soul is dead in trespasses and sins and under the total control of his or her sin-loving nature. It is a life that is patterned after the system of this world; a system that is under the rule of the Evil One and opposed to the purpose of God. As such, all who are of the world are called the children of disobedience, subject to the wrath of God. This was our lot, as all of us without Christ were estranged from the life of God, living in all manner of lusts.

Praise God, we are made alive through our faith in the death of Christ! This implies that we have at work in us, God's life and grace that teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world (Titus 2: 11-12). Do not copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with newness in all you do and think. Surrender yourself completely to God - remember, you have been raised from the dead - into God's way of doing things!
