Family / Re: Do Prenuptial Agreements Work In Nigeria? by ENDTIMES: 10:02am On Nov 21, 2013 |
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! How many people sit down to discuss how to get married talk less of what will happen if the marriage crashes. 98% of Nigerian women are looking for husband and not a companion. Pre-nuptial agreement, ha ha ha ha! |
Sports / Re: Rate Nigeria's Match Against Italy by ENDTIMES: 12:44pm On Nov 19, 2013 |
The match was excellent, the best I have ever seen played anywhere in the world in the last two years. If they call this "friendly", I wonder what the world cup will be, obviously"war". FIFA should be ready. I am seriously tempted to give them an A, but my lecturers made me believe that they can only give an A on their death bed, so, I will reluctantly give them a robust B. |

bacteria_24: I don't know what's all the fuss about this qualification. It was an abysmal performance by the eagles and the Ethopians alike. Other teams that will make it to Brazil would love to have Nigeria in their group as it would mean guaranteed victory for them. Senegal v Cote D'Ivoire is on at the moment and you can appreciate the quality of the game on display unlike the NGA v ETH borefest. Senegalese would be wishing they are Nigerians now, what matters is the result and not the pattern. I wish the SE will win the world cup without playing well. Oh how happy will I be on that day,oh 'skelewu' 'azonto' 'alingo', I don't even know what I will dance! |

Family / Re: Why Do People Use Burial Ceremonies To Show Affluence? by ENDTIMES: 1:33pm On Nov 05, 2013 |
DEGREE2466: Am sorry to say this, the above answers are grossly wrong. If you must eat after burial then don't come at all because your 'presence' as you have shown is to cause double wahala and headache for the owners of the dead body. A Christian burial shouldn't take more than one hour and if you're sincere and ate breakfast in your house before coming to the burial, you should be sustained till you get bk to your house for lunch. Burial these days are rudely abused and churches are not left out. We used to pay ACF to go for confession when we were young and it was later abolished by the Catholic church because one shouldn't pay to receive sacrament of penance. Now the dead pays to receive sacrament of Extreme Unction. It's very wrong and will soon be abolished when the church realizes its folly. How much have we paid Christ for our salvation? The 'church' business is getting to a crescendo and will soon crash so that salvation and faith preached by Christ will take root! 3 Likes |

Incrizz: An average guy can and most times gives his girlfriend money even when she has not asked but when she labels it 'rent', 'weavon', School fees' ..., that's when the issue starts and hence the flurry of comment on this thread. If you doubt me, rephrase the topic tomorrow on nairaland as "when is it right to ask your boyfriend for money" and comments/opinions on nairaland will divide. please like if you agree. |

US please reduce your sanctions on Iran, they are going senile. Iran kept to their record of not having crossed the quarter finals and they are blaming Nigeria. Fifa should make that coach apologize to Nigeria. |

Henrolla: Unnecessary spending. Still spendin on those who already have. This money can be used for other things. So what will be their reward if they by any chance win the world cup?... Money cannot buy the joy their qualification will bring to Nigerians. If they by any means win the world cup, Nigeria will shake and you will testify. |

Politics / Re: Labour Gives IGP 21 Days To Redeploy Rivers CP by ENDTIMES: 10:57am On Sep 29, 2013 |
Let me assume those teachers wanted to protest against GEJ - the question is WHAT IS WRONG IN PROTESTING AGAINST THE PRESIDENT? Will a protest not help a good leader know how his followers are feeling concerning his policies and so enable him to strategize better? How many times did the Israelites protest against God and Moses and yet they were let into the promised land. Today an MBU of a police force is dispersing Nigerians because he 'thinks' they want to air their grievances against a president that is unpopular in his first family, the PDP, talk less of Nigeria. The only thing suppression of the masses will achieve for the president is a sudden and unprecedented breakdown of the system if little grievances cannot be allowed to keep the system in check. Even a pressure cooker has a ventilating hole. Mbu's insult on Amaechi is an insult to Jonathan and the good people of Rivers State. 6 Likes |

Education / Re: Message From ASUU President by ENDTIMES: 10:51pm On Sep 22, 2013 |
The ASUU strike has really taken a big toll on everybody, students, parents, businessmen, all and sundry. At this point it is important for ASUU and the so called government to note these basic facts. 1. Neither party can afford to bend for the other, otherwise what will you tell Nigerians is your reason for not doing so long before now. 2. If ASUU fails to achieve their demands from this strike, then that is the end of ASUU in this country. 3. Notwithstanding 1 above, the only party that can bend and should bend in this logjam now is the government - the reason being the real fear of no. 2. 4. Lastly, government adopted the old tactics of stretching ASUU to their limits hoping they will cave in but unlike be4, there is a written agreement of earlier discussions btwn the 2, so there's no room for further promises. Therefore, wt the above in mind, the wiser of the two 'foolish' parties should read the lines and act, now there is still time before things get out of hand in the END! 2 Likes |

Music/Radio / Re: D’banj’s Album “d’kings Men” Reviewed On The New York Times by ENDTIMES: 12:52pm On Sep 15, 2013 |
I like D'banj as much as I like Don Jazzy. No one can prove if this review of dkm was paid for, the only reason one can suggest that may be because of the quality of the album. With due respect to Dbanj, it just didn't measure up and hence the speculation. Any fan of Dbanj that loves good music will definitely regret spending a whole N100 to buy d cd. Dbanj should hurry back to the studio for a better deal and trust me, the fans are waiting. |
