Scientists may hurt a few people with their recent discovery as a team have suggested that increasing the amount of sex you usually have could induce minor depression.

According to Tech Times, an academic team has just published the findings from its extensive research “between the sheets”.

The researchers from Carnegie Mellon University said that while people with healthy sex lives are generally happy, it’s not necessarily linked to the amount of sex they’re having.

The academics found having more frequent sex didn’t decrease the desire for it or enjoyment, but instead, they suggested, the slight decrease in happiness was likely down to the fact of being asked to do something more rather than letting it happen naturally.

Study co-author Tamar Krishnamurti says the findings could help couples increase their happiness by improving their sex lives, and not necessarily in terms of how often they engage in the act.

Quality can be as important as quantity.Instead of focusing on increasing sexual frequency to the levels they experienced at the beginning of a relationship, couples may want to work on creating an environment that sparks their desire and makes the sex that they do have even more fun,” she said

Another day and another myth busted? Couples who have more sex are not as happy as we thought. Instead they are less happy than those with an average sex frequency, according to a new research.

Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University gathered 128 couples into two groups, one of which was instructed to double their normal weekly intercourse frequency - than the other group which was instructed to maintain their normal sex frequency.

The researchers used online questionnaires to track all the couples' happiness over the 3 months of the study.

At the end of the study period those couples having sex more frequently than was normal for them actually experienced a slight decrease in their happiness, the researchers reported in the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization.

I met a girl during my service year in 2010 and we dated for about 9months.Was a long distance stuff anyway but we saw twice within the pace of that period.I loved her like crazy and did everything to mae the relationship work, unfortunately she did not appreciate it and the relationship ended.
Since then I have dated like 4 or 5 girls and I find it very difficult to connect with them emotional.Please how do I overcome this obstacle cos I can't marry someone I don't love and am hoping to marry next year.
