Diagnose this fault with a competent technician that have a good scan tool.. You may wish to get support from various experts and learn more about hybrids in this group. https:///Bel9Ghz5g62JIEMZkSSRLu Regards. |
Your observation could be correct. If your intake and exhaust were previously out of tune, the new leak might just have contributed positively to the tune especially if you have a restrictive catalytic converter in there. There are a lot that I could explain here but time would not permit me. Regards. |
Your technician tried to isolate coils by disconnecting in turns, that's why you have those open cct codes. Clear all codes, run car, rescan and post results here. |

If you are certain that every other suspension parts are okay, adjust camber through the three bolts on top of the shock absorber, in the engine bay. |
Don't waste money on scan. It won't give you desired result for this fault you described. I can remotely guide you through very easy procedure but it has to be as you are on the job. You can chat with me on 08030420562. |

Telecommunications engineering. I am an electronics hobbyist too with interest in Robotics. I have keen interest in digital signal processing, am already having masters classes on that though I have studied it before. Also, if you check my profile, I am an automobile maintenance person. I will love the application of all these in Automobiles (AI, Computer vision, Bus systems and so on). Regards. Cacawa2: |

If the engine just goes off and car doesn't stall, check throttle body (cleaning and maybe scanning), crankshaft sensor (scanning and testing with known good sensor), camshaft sensor (scanning and testing with known good sensor) before proceeding to other possible causes. If the car stalls (stops completely), check transmission, especially torque converter lockup circuit. Regards. |
Was top gasket burnt and replaced? If it was, maybe it wasn't done properly. If it was not touched, it's an item of suspicion. Get to the root of the problem, resolve it and explore solution in the link below to clean up the cooling system. Plan well, if fixing the current engine will cost much, patiently get a tokumbo engine. Regards. |
You will learn about maintenance, inspections, driving, hybrid and electric vehicle technology and many more from experienced members. You can also advertise your car when there is a request. It's blockage. No vent for the tank anymore. Check the valve in between the tank and charcoal canister. Just maybe, some vent hose in the tank have been tampered with I.e wrongly connected. |
Agreed actually. A fix cannot cover every possible situation. It is a DIY tip that works and in some extreme situations, the engine, Radiator, hoses, seals, transmission could be affected already. I like your inputs and Infact I will update the blog that in some situations, other systems could be affected already. Thanks Lexusgs430 and Nurey. nurey: |
Hahaha... Funny man! Not true though. Lexusgs430: |
The cooling system can be contaminated with oil as a result of engine oil or transmission oil mixing with the coolant. Getting rid of oil from the cooling system is not a easy task and it requires a lot of patience. The causes are: - faulty engine oil cooler - faulty transmission oil cooler - Bad head gasket - Cracked cylinder head - Human error. Regards. |

What if one's blog content is all about tips? I feels tips are mostly bullet points and not as long as explanations and don't need images many times. Like in my blog, I mostly go straight to the point making my articles short. Please check it and criticize. Thanks. |
Good car. As advised above, strictly following maintenance procedures. The performance is awesome! |
It has a very good interface. It is also very responsive. Add something extra that will give you edge over established competitors. Good luck. |

There are useful information that will help owners of hybrid cars enjoy their ownership of their cars. There are some special precautions that need to be taken when using such cars. Not all those precautions apply to conventional petrol or diesel engine cars. These are 10 important hybrid car maintenance tips. Regards. |
Check brake disk and brake caliper area. |
Nice DIY. I doubt that you will get your desired result anyway. It's a good attempt. Originonikeh: |
You need a computer diagnosis. The tech needs to study fuel trim and O2 sensor and some other sensors data to pin the problem. Regards. |
