Builders/Architects/Engineers, I need your expert advise. So I have got 10M naira I want to invest in my first building project (Land inclusive) I know it is not feasible in Lagos, so looking at Ondo/Ogun state; Is this feasible within my budget? I am even willing to pay for a comprehensive project plan from an experienced builder. It will be nice to have a detailed breakdown of how to achieve this before I proceed Thanks in advance. 24 Likes 3 Shares |

Romance / Unpopular Opinion: Marriage Is For Women Alone by engrrichie92(m): 5:20am On Apr 12, 2023 |
People get married because of several reasons I did because I thought I met my partner in destiny...we shared similar vision, goals and aspirations at the time But 1 year down the line, marriage ain't meeting my expectations at all It is all about the woman...what she wants and how you must always meet her needs, how you have to make sure she's always happy The thing here is ...it never ends Have I spoken to my wife? Yes, severally But she never seems to understand me... Now I realise why men just go mute over the years...we are not quiet, we are just tired Tired of saying thesame thing without getting result so we would rather just keep quiet The new song is "I want a child..." and then comes with the child has to be born in US, etc I am honestly tired in advance Sometimes I think of leaving this house and not coming back I pretend to be happy to make her happy...but honestly I am not Marriage is hard! 15 Likes |

chenny360: If you want something bad enough ..nothing should stop you I was in a similar issue for my first major job years ago Test in Lagos...NYSC was in PH The test date was a day before my POP Guess what I went...did the test Took night bus ..so I won't miss my POP I didn't get my NYSC cert that day...punishment for my unauthorised travel Almost got an extension Found my way round it...got my cert the next day(Saturday) - this one na another long story Passed the test, went through the interview stages and landed my first main job...which kinda gave me the foundation to where I am today Moral lesson: leave excuses, find a way Nigeria is too hard to miss out on opportunities that come your way! After NYSC, you are on your own ooo 1 Like |

Dogshow: Throw away this mentality completely...please I had this same mentality during my NYSC days, until I met someone on NL here that exposed me to the right information People land jobs based on merit, well I did and I still am...worked in 5 major organizations so far, currently working with one abroad atm...and all has been on merit, no connect, no referrals whatsoever For entry level jobs, What did you finish with? you are in a good space if you finished with 2:1 and above because there are tons of entry level jobs with no experience requirements out there. You just need to prepare for those technical tests and interviews like your life depends on it -Gmat/SHL/Aptitude practice tests were my bible at the time If you didnt finish with 2:1 and above, now is the time to dig into sellable and marketable skills: front end, back-end, digital marketing, cybersecurity, etc 6-9months of diligently acquiring any of these skill sets will land you internship job opportunities (research Fintechs in Nigeria) and then you can take it from there If you have the right skills/information, getting a Job will be the least of your issue Always remember, looking for JOB is a JOB in itself....don't sit and wait for anybody; WAKE UP and put in the work; you will be glad you did 1 Like 1 Share |
