He will use the power of incumbency to rig it but that will be his Waterloo if he ever tampers with the resolve and Will of the people to do away with trashy leadership. A leadership only good enough for cows where you use cain to beat them into place. We dont want.
the beauty of democracy is that minorities will have their say while majority will have their way. You keep using the word we as if voting is a group thing. Note this; that you don't like a particular candidate or party does not mean others don't as well. Politics is a game of numbers not sentiments. In the 2015 election, over 10million people voted against APC but they still won. So, you using the word "we will do this and that" keep amusing me as to how you will achieve them.

Let him go and rest his weak bones, we the Nigerians say we dont want no more rubbish leadership. Period.
then you and the so called "we the Nigerians" should vote him out. But it is his constitutional right to contest. Is that not fair enough?

There was once a leader in this country who came and disqualified anyone who had held any political office in this country before and he did produce what was adjudged as the best election result so far in the history of Nigeria if not that the same greed effecting Bubu now took hold of him.

There is something called personal sacrfice. Yes, he has the constitutional right to contest but yes again for the love of nation he could step aside for someone who has the strength and vigour to do it better.

It does not matter how popular he may think he is , onething I know is that his popularity is within a certain group it does not cut across the length and breath of the nation and I know with his woeful outing this second chance given to him. Nigerians are not fools to gamble with their destinies by giving him another try in 2019.
This one he has done is enough evidence that if allowed again by the time he is done maybe he would have achieved his well celebrated desire of establishing sharia all over Nigeria.
it is his right to contest and if he his defeated as you say, then so be it. There is no need for this long epistle

Why on earth wont Bubu respect his old age and emulate the footsteps on yhe great Nelson Mandela.
What on earth can he do again for znigeria at this stage other than to go home and pray for the country as most great leaders fo at this age.

It is only a greedy and wicked man that will cling on to power and yhis age when he knows there are millions of ypung men and women that can do this job 100 times better than whatever he thinks he is doing there. Does he not have any shame in his eyes.
What was expected of him was to go in there to clean the Augean stable and prepare the way for a new generation of leaders by jailing all past leaders found wanting but NO, he is not different as he claimed.
so, because PMB is exercising his right as a citizen, he is now greedy and wicked! Ah! You say he should hand over to the youth. Let those youths come out and contest with him if they have the popularity and political will, or do you expect PMB to just handover like that to anybody? There is a procedure which is constitutionally acceptable and that starts with an election.

And the two million people votes most from under aged voting won't be dealt with? Watch and see how Card reader will fail across the country
One thing you should know is that the South especially the SSners are not enthused about voting. That is why we have ballot box stuffing in the SS. This time, it will be different.
The Northerners especially the core North do politics like religion. They are very difficult to sway when they make up their minds.
Talk about under aged voting, both APC and PDP benefited from this. Also, the courts are there to prosecute offenders. We are in a democracy for crying out loud.

All the analysis don't put into consideration the fact that Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta and most of the SE states were rigged in favour of PDP. Ballot box stuffing was the order of the day. This time around, it would be different.

PDP should go and commission it then! Anuofia. This project belongs to APC, APC will take all the glory and Buhari will commission it. PDP will be absent on that day, so keep your mouth shut.

Wow. I'm done arguing with you due to your very warped mindset and nothing else. If you knew an atom about truth, you'll see the world in a different light. No wonder you reason this way. You can't grasp a concept as basic as Truth, and you think you have an opinion in the community of men. Truth is the only entity that never changes no matter what happens. It is easier for the heavens and earth to pass away than for truth to change.

That they thought the earth was flat didn't mean it was. It only meant they hadn't studied the earth properly. This would be my last response to you. Au re voir.
now you are pained. Sorry o! But come to think of it, in those days, people were accused of heresy and stoned to death for saying the earth was a sphere instead of flat. That which you call truth and hold so dear can become a lie in a moment. Truth is very relative. It is only an illiterate that says truth is constant.

TRUTH IS NEVER RELATIVE!! THAT'S WHY IT'S CALLED TRUTH!!
[b]Yes truth is very very relative. Truth is relative to time, context and perspertive. For example, the world was thought to be flat before now which was the truth at that time. Today, we know the world to be a sphere. The earth was thought to be the center of our solar system. Today, it is the sun. They say Mongo Park discovered the river Niger but people were living by and going up and down the river before Mongo Park. The context of this discovery and the person telling this story makes it to be true. It is true for the europeans but it is false for the indigenes. Now Kanu wanted Biafra and said so many things to try to achieve Biafra. To the Biafran, these things are true but to Nigerians, it is all lies.

Lol, you really think that if Dasuki wanted to release classified information, something as inconsequential as a prison wall would prevent him? Or how on earth Kanu's call for a referendum became an issue of national security and public support for a group regarded as the fourth most dangerous terrorist group by Miyetti Allah isn't? Also, I agree with you regarding the Judges.
Dasuki was taking by surprise hence he had no leverage. If he had, the Government would have negotiated with him as they did with boko haram.
In the case of IPOB, Kanu was becoming too hot and therefore needed to be cut down to size. If you recall the second world war, Hitler was a very good orator and propagandist. He was able to mobilise a die-hard army who believed an did even the most absurd thing for him. That was where Kanu was heading. To save the country from balkanization, IPOB needed to be disbanned.

What changed?? He didn't do the right thing when the courts told him to release Dasuki and Kanu. He didn't do the right thing when he sent his boys to arrest federal judges without warrants, he didn't do the right thing when he refused to prosecute Maina. What changed now?? Quit deceiving yourselves.
First of all, Dasuki and Kanu's case are issues of National security. That of Dasuki is even more difficult because he was the NSA. He has and is exposed to some classified infomation which if released can harm and affect the relationship of the country with others. It can also lead to the death oF some Nigerians here and abroad. You have to look at the big picture. You cannot destroy the peace of a country because you want to protect the right of one citizen.
Secondly, there was a warrant, signed by a magistrate for the search of the house and arrest of those judges. Google is you friend, use it.
Now, for Maina, the case is already in court, so the executive has to hands off. Let the judges say if he is guilty or innocent. That is the beauty of democracy

PoliticsRe: PDP Raises Alarm Over Plots To Impeach Fayose by Enice(m): 7:54pm On Jul 26, 2018
LadyNaija:
The Peoples Democratic Party has warned the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop its nefarious plot to impeach Ekiti State Governor, Chief Ayo Fayose or attract dire consequences.

PDP says the impeachment plot, which is being arranged in connivance with the Police, is a recipe for crisis in the peaceful state.

The PDP is aware that the plot is a desperate bid by the APC to rush into the Ekiti Government House to remove and tamper with documents and evidence confirming the rigging of the July 14 governorship election, ahead of the sitting of the election tribunal.

Having realized that there is no way their daylight robbery at the poll can stand in the court, the APC is now employing all desperate means to subvert the course of Justice.

This explains why a detachment of the Police can be hurriedly deployed to besiege the Ekiti State Assembly Complex last night without a formal request by the Speaker, the Clerk or the Sergeant-at-Arms, who is the chief security officer of the complex.

The PDP states that any resort to underhand measures to impeach Fayose, without the constitutionally required 2/3 of the members of the House, particularly at this time, when the lawmakers are currently on their annual recess, will surely be resisted by our members.

Accusing the APC of plotting crisis all over the nation and resorting to the use of harassment, intimidation and brute force against the people and our democratic institutions, PDP warns that these dispositions of APC and its Federal Government portend grave danger for our nation.

Now that the political and parliamentary establishment of the Ekiti House of Assembly has loudly declared that they do not require the services of the detachment of policemen, PDP charges the APC to immediately withdraw their armed agents from the premises of the House of Assembly.

Finally, the PDP urges the judiciary to be firm in standing by the truth on the Ekiti election and not be cowed or intimidated by the threats and pressure coming from the APC.

Nigerians know the truth regarding the rigging of the Ekiti guber election by the APC and are now looking up to the judiciary for justice in the matter.

PoliticsRe: APC Crisis: Shehu Sani Speaks On Being Part Of Plot To Impeach Saraki by Enice(m): 6:49pm On Jul 26, 2018
2Ebisco:
The Senator Representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has denied being among those allegedly plotting to impeach the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The lawmaker described the reports as the handiwork of his opponents, adding that he enjoys a good relationship with the senate president and will continue to support him.

The senator said the accusations leveled against him will not work, referring to it as “cheap blackmail.”

In a statement on Thursday, the lawmaker said, “My attention has been drawn to a report by an online newspaper without a defined address that I, Senator Shehu Sani and other senators plotted to impeach the senate president, Dr Bukola Saraki on Tuesday, 24th 2018.

“I’m not aware of such plot whether it happened or not. And If there was anything like that, it stands condemned. I can never be part of any plot to impeach the senate president because there was never reason to do so.

“I enjoyed a good working relationship with Dr Saraki since 2015 till date and he has always supported and identified with me in my moments of travails and trials and I reciprocated the same to him.

“He has managed the senate with experience, responsibility and maturity and always respects my views even when it differs with his. Fifthly, Senate President and Deputy Senate President Ike Ekwerenmadu have managed the Senate satisfactorily and championed and sustained its independence.”

“My decision to remain in the APC or leave the party is my own choice to make in tandem with my conviction, conscience and the imperatives of the constituents and constituency I represent,” he said.

“Fabrications, concoction and outright lies and blackmail aimed at me, to force me to toe a line against my conscience will not work. Using such cheap blackmail and character assassination against me will not work.

“I will continue to support the leadership of Dr Saraki and Dr Ike Ekweremadu till the end of the life of the eight senate. Once again, my choice of party is my business and not that of any person.”

Fantastic piece and apt analysis. I quite agree on the part of the Senators shifting resumption till September 25 in order to deliberate on their next strategic move to cause more havoc upon resumption and yes it is common knowledge that more defection will still be carried out which will further denigrate APC further. Definitely, with Oshiomole's rash and crass approach to simple matter and delicate ones there will be more defections within the APC Governor's circle, why? Buhari is no more a movement nor a force to reckon with as he was in 2015, therefore the smart Governors within APC will follow suit after the deserted Senators, that is, jump ship. APC, a party of strange bed fellows is ordained from inception to be buried before PDP politically. Perhaps, it is prophetic that Oshiomole was brought in to prepare the burial. I rest my case
rubbish talk. With the exception of Kwakwanso and Saraki, the rest senators got elected on the back of PMB. They have no political weight or structure of their own and can do no sh!t.

What you are experiencing now are the multiplier effect of the decisions of GEJ, we will start experiencing the effect of PMB decision in 2020. GEJ refused to save for the rainy day. He embezzled, raped, and looted the treasury to zero. So, on what do you expect PMB to carry the economy? Now, due to lack of funds, PMB had to devalue. Devaluation leads to increase in price.
