Politics › Re: External Reserves Rise Further To N26.2bn by Enice(m): 11:22am On Jan 06, 2017 |
sammhi: You said it all ... and only those with brains can utter such Meaningless savings at expense of people dying of hunger and collapsed economy . Such news is only meant for the dumb and the nitwit You are the dumb nitwit here. You are blinded by hatred. How can you not see the multiplier effect of an increase in the foreign reserve? An increase in the foriegn reserve would lead to a strong naira. A strong naira would increase the purchasing power of individuals and companies alike. If the consumer can buy more, the producer will produce more leading to job creation/ boost in the economy. Now to you dumb nitwit, answer this simple question how would it lead to a fall in the price of commodities? |

Springup: Stop comparing Jonathan regime with Buhari’s regime lad. Look at how things are expensive today, people are staving, malnutrition everywhere, naira has lost its value, the economy is in a mess. Firms can't access foreign exchange, Job losses and so on. When the rise in reserve does not reflect in the life of the ordinary man.... It means nothing. When Jonathan was there at least we could the ordinary man could feel the impact of governance . What we are suffering today happened in 1984 when same man was in power you have not said anything intelligent. You are just ranting |

Do not be too quick to judge the price. Most of these bags have fakes. Also, it is the branding that makes the bag expensive. You can have a similar bag (china copy) that goes for less than 20% of the original. |
Politics › Re: FFK Reacts To Appointment Of Saratu Atta By Ghanaian President-Elect by Enice(m): 9:03pm On Jan 05, 2017 |
boman2014: Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation, has hailed the appointment of his former wife Saratu Atta into President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo’s cabinet.
According to Fani-Kayode, his ex-wife deserves her appointment because she has been working with Akufo-Addo for so long.
Fani-Kayode told Premium Times: “I am very happy for her.
“She certainly deserves it because she’s been working with Akufo-Addo for so long and I am sure she will do a great job.”
Mr. Fani-Kayode also spoke highly of Akufo-Addo while commending his ex-wife for her perseverance.
He said: “Akufo-Addo is my good friend and a great man.
“I think that’s why they were able to remain focused after narrowly missing the Ghanaian presidency in 2008 and 2012.”
Ms. Atta got married to Fani-Kayode in 1987.
They were divorced in 1989 and have a child, Folake together.
She is the daughter of the first civilian governor of Kwara state, Adamu Atta, who passed on in May 2014 at the age of 87. On his part, Ghanaian president-elect Nana Akufo-Addo, a member of the New Patriotic Party, emerged winner of the December 7, 2016 general elections, defeating incumbent John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress.
According to Premium Times, Akufo-Addo was once married to Fani-Kayode’s older sister, Remi.
The Ghanaian president-elect and Remi were married for 10 years and spent most of their time together in Paris before returning to Accra where they later divorced after two children together.

Kennyquestt: Of what use is the slash of import duty when exchange rate is still very high the literacy level on nairaland is becoming too low for my liking. Illiterates everywhere. What will the zero import duty on machinery do to an economy? Boost the industries which will in turn create emploment and economy of the area. What would an increase in import duty do to an economy? Increase revenue, encourage local production and inturn employment. Okay! |

Fake and incompetent finance minister Blind hatred would not let you see the benefit of this policy. Those products we have the potential to product were banned or import duty increased. Those industries that were upcomming were either increased or reduced as the case may be. Those that we could do nothing about were reduced to zero. Criticize constructively pls. |

Igboland is not landlocked: https://www.nairaland.com/1568347/hmm-abia-state-set-build/1
Even if it were, it wouldn't matter, as Austria, Switzerland,Botswana, etc are all landlocked nations with better living standard than your failed nation, while Somalia with a very long sea coast line is a failed nation like your Nigeria.
I would advise you worry more about your inconsequential people, and less of Ndiigbo who are miles ahead of you in all indices of human development. the feeling is mutual |

caleboxylic: Mentally disturbed people indeed. Are u richer, more intelligent or educated than those heading IPOB? For Your information, start thinking about your Nigeria without the biafrans. Banki-moon said in spain when asked about catalyuan agitation for their own country and i qoute" for You to ask for seperation, their must have been an amalgamation, different culture, and language." From This banki-moon statement, You Can see That IPOB most likely will have their way. woosai, you lie. there was no south east before Nigeria but Nigeria before south east. what we had in the south east were small clans with small chiefs called Ezes. even the Obi of Agbor is well know than any of your so called Ezes. check history and be convinced. you cannot give what you don't have. you never had a south east. south east came about because of Nigeria, so rethink that ban ki moon line again. google Catalunya and compare it with Biafra. |

AntiNigerian: prepare to be carved out of our map! Go back to your slave master Hausa and Fulani! we want igbo only Biafra sef your Biafra that is not even as big as Niger state will be landlocked by Nigeria and not even arable enough to feed all of you. you will need visa to go to Port Harcourt. all your goods will be taxed as you will need our ports to import goods. all your brothers in Nigeria will need visas to work and operate. your visas will be renewable every six months so expect long queues at immigration centers where you will spend at least two to three days to process. we will not allow you to have an army of your own. even your police will be required to carry only okpo.we will dictate your pace of development. in short you cannot sh:t without letting us know. |

Kemperor: Haven't u heard of the lord Lugard's Amalgamation ? B4 u talk, u reason...and research b4 u mak vain facts...Dullardpo before lord lugard's amalgamation, was there any state like anambra, imo, ebonyi, abia or enugu state? No. Was there any region like biafra? No. All this states were created by Nigeria. Another thing is that there is no major kingdom or major king in that area to say this was our territory like the benin kingdom for example. Biafra was a name created by Ojukwu for his selfish reasons. Therefore, you cannot give what you don't have. Another issue is the use of the word WE. Who is WE? Speak for yourself. It is only when there's been a referendum that the majority can use the word WE. |
