It is in the law that any commercial use of ports must get NPA license and ownership as well. Dangote etc are private jetties and are not commercial ports. The NPA is administrator and regulator of ports. But they can concession ports to private operators.

The siting of the port, Lekki FTZ and Eko Atlantic is brilliant. Seems Apapa will only be handling importation while this port will deal with exportation. Dangote refinery will be able to export refined petroleum easily so also other companies sited there .
For Dangote to key into this tells you how much he believes the State government yet the social media youths without foresight keeps denigrating the achievements of Lagos shows the youths are not been realistic .

Many of the youth supporting Obituary are blind indeed. I remember Dangote while launching the fertiliser company specifically called Tinubu during his address as the Ashiwaju of Africa, with a lot of laughter from the audience. The people in serious business in NIGERIA know that Tinubu is the game changer in development of NIGERIA. The refinery is sited at the free trade zone with the great support and assistance from Tinubu. Dangote was disappointed by other states in NIGERIA and Tinubu accepted him and facilitated everything. Now these projects are the pride of NIGERIA. Can someone tell me any spectacular project done by Obituary that is impacting positively on NIGERIAn economy or creating jobs? We know our leader when we see one. Tinubu is our leader.

With NPA's consent anyone can manage a port
Many companies including Dangote are already Managing small port /terminal operations

Federal government under Jonathan refused the license until Buhari came in. The NPA insisted on having a share of ownership. That’s on records. That’s why they have 10%.

Obituary followers are so ignorant. This project Waa started by Tinubu but stalled by federal government because the law only allows NPA to own and manage ports. That's what forced the hands of Lagos state to allow NPA to have 10% of the project. Lagos state along with partners own the major stake in the project. If NPA under Amaechi had such in mind to do, they would have completed it at Bonny first. Yes it’s a Lagos state project which federal government tries to hijack.

That’s not true. Tinubu will use the resources to create jobs for people. Agberos are not being given jobs that’s why they are on the streets. Politicians have stolen money and did not create jobs. That’s the problem of NIGERIA. Tinubu will not appoint people like Ngige who is minister of Labour that never created jobs. He will appoint competent people who know what to do to create jobs. That’s the skill of Tinubu. He knows who will do the job well. Unlike Buhari who knows nothing about identifying and appointing the right people.

Tinubu supporters whether yoruba or not, please stop gaslighting the North into your ethnic grudges with the Ibos, I know there are many Northerners who support APC and Tinubu candidature, but trust me when I say that a vast majority of us are tired of the sufferings, deaths and utter neglect suffered by the North under this APC administration. When we voted Buhari in 2015 and 2019, while many of us genuinely voted for change and a breath of fresh air as promised by the APC, the truth is that there were many of us in North who voted for Buhari solely on ethnic and religious interest (I'm guilty of making such terrible mistake). The biggest mistake the North made was voting Buhari, under Buhari we've suffered way more than any administration in the history of Nigeria, many of us have sworn never to repeat that mistake again. GEJ a Southern Christian gave the North more than 50 Almajiri schools, Buhari gave us absolutely nothing, he didn't even care about all the killings that have wrecked.

So to buttress my whole rants to the Tinubu camp, please don't expect the North to fall for your ethnic gaslighting again, we fell for it in 2015 and 2019 and we're still regretting it right now.

You voted for Buhari not APC. Now Tinubu is better than Buhari and everyone knows that. He is more intelligent than Buhari and has achieved more than Buhari in past government. He is the one we are voting for, not the party.
