I wish this was the case for most people in Nigeria but the reality is that majority are suffering!

That it is well with you doesn't mean you disregard the plight of millions of jobless, lowly paid Nigerians who sadly also have a entitlement mentality towards those abroad, making financial demands on top of someone else's sweat!

EDIT:
I love seeing all these comments assuming those abroad are "struggling".. if believing this is what it'll take to get leeches off our backs then so be it! Stop begging money from your relatives abroad please.. they are all "broke and suffering" cheesy

You Nigerians in Nigeria are far better than us so please send us money wink

An angle...

I also think it's not about total number of cases in each country, the question of "are cases increasing or declining in this place?" is also important. Cases in Nigeria are increasing on a daily. Some countries in Europe have seen decline. Like a country in Europe can have more cases than Nigeria currently but actually they had more before and is now declining, that will be seen as handling it well.

Geewin69:
Our case appears relatively better than the countries in the west because we have a far lower testing capacity. Not fewer infections.

Whether they factor this in or not is their decision. We can only hope for the best.

Hahaha....

Men are like he-goats....I see

J111333:
It's because men are like he-goats, we ain't loyal to anything except something stronger, superior to us like our bosses, even female bosses too and something very very smaller to us. This is why a man will obey his 5yr old daughter but argue with his wife all day. grin
Funny but that's the sad truth.

Relationships and marriages stand tests of time because some women somewhere put their foots down and compromise on issues.

Don't get me wrong here, there are many responsible and faithful men out there who compromise too.

Do you know that a husband can be unfaithful but the marriage will still be very smooth until the woman decides not to compromise and hell will be let loose. grin

A marriage that husband and wife are willing and prepared to compromise on issues will last longer than Methuselah.

Let me shock you.....

Women are mothers in nature..... If a lady puts herself before anything else, then she will always live to regret it..... Most laters give everything to make a relationship to hold..This behavior help them to keep their homes.....

Men will always look for opportunities to return back to make their homes a happy place for their wives...A man wants to achieve everything to please his wife...to make her happy...

There are millions of women out there that will tell you that they made decisions to stay back with their men and it was worth it ...Forget the few stories you heard...The good testimonies are there too...women who make does sacrifice should speak up!!

Hello Nairalanders smiley

Just want to know our views and opinions on this. I have observed that women especially from Africa easily compromise in relationships. For example, this lady wants Canada PR but because she doesn't want to leave her guy, she gives up on even trying. And many times, her guy will leave her and travel for jobs, like he won't even deliberate on not going cause of her, off he goes every time. Also I have heard of ladies who get scholarships to study abroad refusing to go cause they don't want to leave their boyfriend, but if it was the guy that got such offer, off he goes. Men most times always go for what they want even if it means leaving their girlfriend but a woman will always want to consider the relationship and prefer not to go for what she wants just to keep the relationship, and most times such relationships might not even work out.
Why tho?
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Eniolakiite(f): 11:38pm On Jul 09, 2020
Well, unfortunately, discrimination can never end so far humans continue to have differences. Even discrimination happens in Nigeria.
And unfortunately, some countries will be at the bottom of the ladder and politics will always play.

Let's keep hoping for the best.

kilankoazeez:
Again, if Covid-19 started from here(Africa) they'll probably ban us for many years until there's a vaccine. Ebola virus of 2014 is an example, many European countries banned int'l flights from west African countries, including those that weren't affected as much.

It's more of a discrimination thingy to me
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Eniolakiite(f): 11:35pm On Jul 09, 2020
Many countries were just banning outsiders when everything just started and was still new.....I feel they will start looking at those handling it well and having decline when considering those to open to.
And yea...get their houses together before bringing people in especially for US....Florida has replaced New York now, having alarming number of cases.

It will all be fine. There will be calm after the storm.

kilankoazeez:
Your point is accurate to an extent but it's entirely not in the hands of NG govt, even before we had 25k+ cases many countries in Europe banned int'l flights from here into their own territory that's even worse than ours.

It's more about the countries issuing the visas, they need to get their houses together before allowing foreigners come in. Our mortality rate is still low compared to other countries.
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Eniolakiite(f): 10:42pm On Jul 09, 2020
I think if Nigeria’s government can show signs of handling the COVID-19 situation well at least, Nigerians can be allowed to travel into countries like those in EU and embassies in Nigeria can consider opening gradually. And for US, I don’t think all US embassies worldwide will open at same time. If some countries don’t feel safe enough or have decline in cases, embassies there might not open on time.
The workers at embassies are humans and have family who care about them, if they have concerns about their safety amidst this pandemic, they might not be willing to start visa interviews.

International flights have been happening gradually to and from places where COVID-19 cases are well managed.

Hope and uncertainty is part of what makes life interesting. It's good to hope for the best during uncertain times like this.
Anything can still change at any time. However, we should also be comfortable with the hard truth sometimes, not easy I know but it is what it is.

people have used different NOC's and gotten PPR. You can search for PPR stories all over Nairaland. Although there is an error on the CRS calculator which says only One NOC.

Hello everyone. Congrats to those with ITA.

I have been getting confusing information about noc codes. What I understand from what people post here is one can have two or more noc codes under NOC A for example. I was chatting someone and the person said no, that it must be one single noc code under NOC A or whatever noc letter as applicable. That it is one single code one will be asked to fill when applying. Please house, help clarify please.

ednut1:
you are assuming most of the Indians getting ita are India based. Many are in canada, Dubai, usa etc. Scores will not drop past 470s again. Its better to find ways to increase scores o. A friend got ita with 502 yesterday after she did french in February. People were saying it will drop back to 450s hasn't happened for over a year. People should do what they can to increase scores o

1. No safeties? These are schools that consistently reject students with 9As in waec, 4.0 GPAs and 1500+ SAT. I have a friend here in Nigeria that was rejected from all these schools with 1570/1600 in SAT and another with 1540, both had 8A1s in WAEC and 1600/1600 in SAT 2. Please do your research and find schools. There are over 50-100 colleges that offer full financial aid to international students.
2. MIT? Harvard? Princeton? Without test scores?
Please try as much as possible to take the SAT or ACT so you can stand even a half chance at these schools.
3. I'd advise you use the Common Application, I found it much easier and straightforward than Coalition.
4. You don't need to take TOEFL, just the SAT or act will be okay.

Yea right, schools will come up here. Not like ICE will be going round classrooms to see that international students are attending face-to-face lol. Even before now, some of my classes are online and some face-to-face.

Everything na politics but one yeye ICE no fit outsmart thousands of school. Schools go outsmart them by moving to hybrid with a large percentage of activities still online.

We no suppose to dey give this yeye proclamation all these attention wey we dey give am.

In my opinion, it's a dead on arrival proclamation
