All i know is that God is not dead and jesus is real. God is an incorruptible and holy being.

I was born into christian home. My mother more serious than my father in the christian faith then. I always cry to church as she will take us along to church.

As time would have it, i found myself leaving home for the north for my secondary school education, at first staying with a cousin of mine who was and still an eckist. I participated in their weekly service ( is place is their meeting point in minna then ) I attend their seminars, read their books also delve into Koran but didn't read deeper as i was not comfortable with the islamic holy book.

So eckanker became in thing for me, believe in its teaching and become more open and adventurous for more. I pick up an astrology book and read it also and the bible became something i read for fun and also as mean or aid to masturbation as any verse that sexuality was mentioned became a trigger to masturbate, imagining and fantasising about beautiful women always looking forward to having sex in dream. How old was I? 13yrs

Meanwhile no peace in my mind, there was this feeling of emptiness, this desire to search for the truth. With all my indoctrination in eckanker, i still felt the need to search for the truth, islam a close chapter, what next amorc or rusicretian (hope i got the name right?) At the background gentle nudging to go back to christianity.

Fortunately for me after about 4 years i found myself back to lagos; after sometime i started attending church just to please my father who by now is a change person after having a life changing personal encounter with God at a stage where everybody were just waiting for him to die because they have given up hope as every effort failed. ( No pastor came to pray for him ooh, na talk he to God ooh asking Him to intervene and before you say jack Robinson na so he sleep and have direct encounter with God )

To cut a long story short, i began to feel at peace, my mind at rest and reassured that i have made the decision. Finally find the truth no feeling of emptiness even though things were tough i was so full and confident of a better tomorrow. Along the line curiosity made me fall away again but somehow God has a way of calling me back and am grateful.

One day at dining table while eating, suddenly began to think of the past, all the bad things i did while in school, the danger and so on, i shudder and heave a sigh to think that am still alive and healthy. Then from no where a gentle and calm voice ask " do you think it was by your power?"

Why this long story? To prove that God is not dead but alive to those who believe that God is dead and to also show to those who believe there is no God. And I know that there are people with more compelling experience than mine and if you are such person please don't by shy to post your experience here so that others can benefit.

If you are those who believe in logic, analysing things like i used to do, you will try but won't be satisfied. If you want to know God, throw logic aside, be open and sincere in your quest and i believe God who sent His only begotten son Jesus to come and die for us so that we will be save and have eternal life will show Himself to you in a more pronounce way. no amount of reading the bible, crying in worship and prayer. You must be serious and be sincere in your desire. God can not be mock.

Note:- The gate to the kingdom of God is still open and calling on all to come in and be save from the great trials and tribulations that await the world and those who delight and take pleasure in darkness. The way to God kingdom is Jesus and let no one deceive you that there are many way to God. Jesus is the only way and the light to God kingdom and its free. Salvation is free.

Seriously falling under the anointing is real, is just that some people have abused it. Yes there are cases where people fall to avoid or stop the unwholesome activities of the pastor or ministers and its true that some pastor are not pastor who are called by God but by their stomach or the devil.

That's why it is recommended that every christian should get closer to God, seeking a deep intimate relationship through the holy spirit. God is real and Jesus is real and everything about them in the holy bible is real.

As i stated falling under the anointing of God is real. The operating word here is "anointing of God". But note, not everyone that fall is demon posses and you not falling during ministration does not mean that anointing of God is not real or it bypass you. The way and manner God work with each one of us is different.

So my fellow brethren, let work and seek an intimate relationship with God. The holyspirit is there to help us. In john 14 vs 16 to 18

Growing up in my teenage years, I was worried about the space of alarming number of marriage divorce, separation between two married couple and the marriage that are only marriage in name. Unfortunately things are now worse than it was then.

The teenage me was so trouble then by the issues and PM NEWS was not helping matter with her daily evening reporting of marriage break-ups and squabbles. I fear for the future, fear of getting married became a battle in my life because of divorce palaver.

I began listening to and sometime eavesdropping on people conversations; researching, reading and studying books, articles on marriage, relationship and sex but no bible but i always pray that I don't want to get married and divorce.

In my journey, I learnt many things, many don't and do's, many tricks, many top ten or twenty and here on nairaland they abound. Reading them at times I smile and laugh at people comments.

So far so good, have come to realised that reading and implementing all those, tricks, tips, advice, top ten and twenty to solve marital distress and improve relationship will not do. We must first look inward into ourself first and start from there.

The thing is, you can't give what you don't have and you only reap what you sow. We must first forgive ourself then our partner before we can start anything implementable as long as they are in accordance to God words.

Also find out that some marital issue goes beyond top ten or twenty. Tell me; is there a top ten or twenty, tricks or ways to address an issue like this in a marriage where for no just cause one of the partner will find it difficult to stay in the same room with their significant second, just they find them repulsive, unexplained hatred.

That's where God come in, he said in Ps.50:15 And call on me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. – Ps.50:15.

Praying to God for His intervention will wipe away tears, replace worries and sadness with peace of mind and joy.

Where do you put God.

Many marriages are heading to the rock today and some are already gone over the cliff.

In fighting for our marriage, we consult marriage counsellor ( not bad but ), we seek people advice and opinion, we try to copy others, buy books, listen in talkshow and get occultic means involved ( very bad because the devil never give without taking out something powerful and of far greater value, adding more and greater problems ).

With all this measure, more marriage still end up falling over the cliff. The more lucky that do not end up over the cliff, live shakily.

When ask, they will narrate how just unlucky they are, all the steps taken so on and so forth blah blah blah but no mention of God the designer and maker of marriage.

So where did they put God and where do you place God in your marriage.

Judging by the post here, we should expect more bad or mean mother in law in future. I can't see how one can be a good mother in law without first being a good daughter in law. Too much my, who give a Bleep, I don't care.

I am 25, married and just had a baby four months ago. My mother-in-law and I have never really been very close, she never liked me while I dated her son and I could sense it even though there was no confrontation then. We are from different tribes and from what my husband told me, she wanted him to marry a girl from their tribe and was disappointed when he introduced me to the family. She came out of her room after like about 30 minutes of me being in the sitting room and chatting with
other family members when I first visited, she smiles briefly and never shows interest in having discussions with me when we are alone. Short answers are all I get when I try to talk with her. Ok, since hubby (My fiance then) assured me there is no big deal that she feels disappointed and will get over it when we eventually tie the knots, I tried my best not think too much about her actions until we wedded.

I had a conflict with her some time back, she wanted me to spend a major time of my omugwo vacation with the baby in their house as opposed to staying in my parents' house), it's my first and I wanted the best, aside that, she never really treated me with love so I didn't feel comfortable accepting that invitation ( We all, both his family and mine live in the same town) why wouldn't I enjoy my mother's care first before any other? After the omugwo in my parents place, I intended to spend some time at their family home too but she kept giving excuses and didn't want us anymore. Now, the whole family including her other 2 daughters have stopped communicating with me... they blocked me off of Facebook etc but kept in touch with my husband. When I mention this to my husband he just says that since they have not been mean with him and he can't remember any negative memories from his sisters, he doesn't care about how this relationship stays between his family and me and that time will take care of things. That he loves me and that it's him I married and not them, he wants me to not be bothered but I'm very worried. So basically, I should not feel bothered that my husband's family only keeps in touch with him and makes me feel like an outsider since I have him? Am I overthinking here? Isn't he supposed to try to mend things between me and his family?
Is my husband correct to say I shouldn't care and also please I would like to know what should be my expectations from my husband?
I really don't know but my general idea is, if somebody is wrong or being mean with me, whoever that person is, my husband should stand up for me. isn't that what couples do? When my sister-in-law (The senior) decided to block me off from her Facebook, her husband did the same.

Some people will say you make mistake marrying into a family you are not welcome into but i don't think that's the case. You were on good terms with the sisters and everything was smooth sailing between you and them until the omogwo issue rear it head.

your handling of the omogwo issue is not it at all. Put yourself in your MIL shoes and tell me how you will feel. Your mother in law attitude is not because she hate you, is just that she has some issue with your tribe or her son marrying from another tribe.

Anyway sha no need crying over spilled milk. Continue being a good wife to your husband and good daughter in law. Call or text her and your sister in law, they respond or not just don't stop. Don't allow hatred toward them. Seek you mother in law out and seek for her forgiveness on the omogwo issue. Forgive yourself and forgive them and leave the rest to God in prayer.

Why leave the rest to God? Because He is the originator, designer, builder and perfectionist of marriage. God is still in the business of making good and enjoyable marriage.

I tell you 3 month will be too much to see changes if you can follow advice and there is a film tittled WAR ROOM, watch it and apply the principles taught in that film to your marriage and other life issues..

Very insightful and inspiring movie. Everything necessary you need to know to not only fight and protect your marriage but also to tackle life issues and spiritual growth was taught in that movie. How i wish many couples most especially the ladies will watch it and practice what was taught.

Look at the scene where she was in the office with two other lady, one was telling her to be submissive while the other was forming equality and what have you right if not for God directing her to clara.

I learnt a lot from that movie and the ending and soundtrack kill it. Clara praying a very powerful prayer; kingdom advancing prayer, seeking first the kingdom of God and the establishment in the life of people
