Abosede Aloba, the mother of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad has said that the Lagos state police command have released the remains of the singer to his father but that her estranged hubby has refused to allow them rebury him.

In a video making the rounds on social media, Ms Abosede said she visited the Lagos state Commissioner of Police last week and was told that the body has since been released to his father.

‘’Nigerians, please help me over the corpse of my son, Mohbad. They have released Mohbad for a long time. Since they finished the autopsy, they released his body but his father has refused us to rebury him. He just kept the boy’s body there. I have begged him endlessly but since he has refused to listen to my plea, I decided to go to the Commissioner of Police last week and they told me they have released Mohbad’s body since. They even asked me why we are using his corpse to play and that are we happy that he is dead’’

She said she has been hearing all that Mohbad’s dad has been saying but has decided to leave everything to God.

‘’Please help me so they can bury my child. Please help me. God will judgment me and his father. Please help me so we can bury my child because I do not know why he is holding on to Mohbad’s corpse. I have begged him let us bury this child but he just keeps insulting me.

I have a lot to say but I am not going to say anything, for my child to die and then I will be granting interviews and making money off my deceased child, a child that takes care of us, that has love for us, that fears us. Please stand up and help me. Do not allow my child to just be there like that. This is not the corpse of a goat or a dog. Please help me all Nigerians, Mohbad’s friends. Please help me. Fight for me. President Tinubu please help me. Have mercy on me’’

Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba aka MohBad, has stated that nobody should collect his son's body for burial without his authorisation.

He made this known in a video shared on TikTok on Sunday.

"When this boy was alive, he was alive. When he go, he still retained my name. Nobody should go there and take his body, please," he warned.

The singer's father added, "If they want to do anything there, I'll be the one to authorise them. Nobody should go and carry MohBad's body from there."

This came after calls from singer Bella Shmurda and actress Tonto Dikeh, asking for the release of MohBad's body for burial.

The singer died at 27 on September 12, 2023.

Nigerian chef, Temitope Adebayo, better known as Tope Maggie, is aiming to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, to take the record of recently declared Irish chef, Alan Fisher who completed 119-hour and 57-minute record.

According to Oyo Affairs on X platform (formerly Twitter), Chef Maggie completed a 200-hour cook-a-thon which ended in the early hours of Saturday, November 18.

The video was captioned, “Congratulations to Chef Tope Maggie and his team for completing a 200-hour Cook-A-Thon, which came to an end at exactly 3am this morning.”

Tope, it was gathered, surpassed the record set by Fisher, as he pulled off a 200-hour cook-a-thon to the cheers of supporters at the venue.

The cook-a-thon is said to have commenced on Thursday evening, November 9th, and ended on Saturday morning, November 18th.

It was held at Ogbomoso Recreation Club, opposite LAUTECH College of Health Sciences, Isale-General, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

Tope currently awaits the confirmation of his record by the GWR as congratulations and celebration over his feat reign on.

Tope Maggie is a graduate of Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State, where he studied Hotel Management. His name “Maggie” was inherited from his mother, under whom he learnt cooking.

Tope currently manages a chain restaurant in Ogbomoso.

SaharaReporters had on November 7 reported that an Irish chef, Fisher, who owns a restaurant in Japan, dethroned Nigerian cooking Queen, Hilda Baci, as he broke two cooking-related Guinness World Records (GWR) titles.

The Records which announced Fisher’s emergence as the new world longest cooking title holder said that Fisher “claimed the longest cooking marathon (individual) after clocking in a time of 119 hours 57 minutes. That is more than 24 hours longer than the previous record held by Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci.”
