He wants to build from the back but with his fullbacks high and wide. Problem is those teams who build from the back invert their full backs into midfield. Eth wants his to remain high and wide to help outnumber the other teams defence. The problem is that is a terrible idea and for it to work you need the best press resistant ball carrier to pickup the ball from the defence and get it forward to either wide areas or progress it and pass it through the lines. Casemiro is the opposite of such ball carrier. Its the reason he wants Frenkie so much.

From the very little I know, the midfielders have to play close to each other at all times. I don't think Frenkie or any midfielder will be happy to play like this

you're right. My point is about his tactics, where most of the players go forward includng CM which suits McTom well, instead of transitioning forward as a team. One of the major issues of this is lack of passing options.

Its confusing. Does he want to build play from the back or he wants to play quick transition football?

Maybe I have forgotten how the first goal happened. I remember Case had to pass and he chose to pass forward, which was intercepted.

I have not praised Slot gameplan. I only mentioned it because he spoke about it and we saw it happen. What can you say about your ETH's game plan?

I'm not sure what Mctom is supposed to do in this situation? The same mctom that always hide behind players? He will most likely be getting ready to run into the LFC 18

If u see u are closed down..
Release the ball or boot it upwards.. don't hold it like u are pogba..or Gattuso..

If u don't have that strength to hold 4 players on ur own release the ball or shoot it away..

That is why the system will set up any player to fail. You see they always want to retain possession and play from the back which is what ETH is trying to do, how do you now expect them to shoot the ball away when they are closed down when the first thing in their head is to try to beat the press?

Players do lose ball, its not a new thing. The best players have lost the ball multiple times. The real question is why is your team so open anytime the players lose the ball in that position?

There is a reason I have not even mentioned Casemiro name at all or any player. Slot and his team came with a game plan. Close down Case and Mainoo very fast with as many players as possible. What was ETH's plan? Anybody?

But Slot is bad. See as the players surrounded Mainoo. Even the ones they said he should be able to see and pass too behind him have players close to them and will dispossess them before the ball even gets to them

LFC were always going to be stronger and more technical in the midfield, so how on earth did ETH allow that huge gap between bruno and our two CM? If he wants to play this way, then abandon the so called playing out of the back and boot the ball up field so that we have 4 of our players contesting for the ball. He wants to keep the ball and play of the back, but he is playing 424.

I'm just so happy that he is still here and everyone is gradually seeing his uselessness in 4K

Slot really capitalized on a known United problem that ETH has refused to solve because he is too stubborn to see it. He solved that problem in the last matches of last season but he has resumed his useless tactics. Having a defense that can play out of the back is not enough, there has to be enough options in the midfield to receive the balls from the defenders. ETH needs his three midfielders opening spaces to receive the ball from the defense. Even the attackers are supposed to join depending on who we are playing against. Its just laziness on the players part if they are not able to come into our half to receive the ball and get into threatening positions when we beat the press.

Zirkzee was our first signing and he didn’t go with the team for preseason. The guy played just 4 mins in the Euros and immediately he signed he went on a holiday.

He’s not close to match fitness at all. If De Ligt had to be gradually introduced until he was ready, why is he rushing Zirkzee? He’s too slow FFS, especially for an attacker.

Exactly my point. ETH and his system will ruin him to the extent that he won't be able to recover and will be sold off. It would have been much easier for him and his confidence if he sees a lot of the ball. But this ETH style can't allow him see enough of the ball to understand the team and how the attack should operate
