Defenders are with the ball and their options are too limited. Where are the midfielders and wingers?

This guy shouldn’t be starting at all. He’s had it too easy, majorly because he scored on his debut. He’s one of the slowest players on the pitch, second to Casemiro.

That was how his slow mentality caused Garnacho’s goal to be ruled offside vs Brighton.

This guy will be crucified and buried before he gets the chance to settle into the team and league

See the speed at which LFC players raced back at 50 minutes. Our players need to get some level of fitness and ETH can't get them there

I decided to play FM again after so many years. Na now I understand the people running this club. No one wants to buy our players. I think its majorly the wages they used to dash them. Not many clubs can afford them. Those that can afford don't rate them

Buying 2-3 players is not the way to fix anything. Not all the players they buy will come good. If you get 70% from the players bought, you should thank God. The ones we have bought sef will most likely struggle this season and need to get used to the team and league. If the team play the rubbish they played last year, those players may never reach their potential with us, because of criticism and low morale.

What is even the expectation for this season?

By now, at least one of Maguire or Lindelof should have been sold off. We don't want that combination to be an option at all. The situation with AWB should have been sorted by now Preseason is not just to showcase players you want out. Its to plan and prepare the players for the new season. All the players that should be sold or released have been a big part of this planning and preparation. At this point, we may not even be able to sell these same players anymore. We have not bought a single player for that midfield which has always been a big problem for some years now. We can't have Bruno in midfield, limiting his creativity, when he should be playing higher up with no fear of losing the ball.

We are not ready for the new season

If we don't sign at least 3 players this week, we will struggle big time...Arsenal, City and Liverpool are stronger than us. Aston Villa, Spurs and Chelsea have strengthened. Aston Villa have signed a lot of players to ensure they don't struggle like Newcastle did last season with the UCL meaning more games. Tottenham will only get better and Chelsea are still a good side. If they get things right, they'll likely challenge for the top 4 spot.

We on the other hand are practically going into the season with the same team from last season. Yoro is out injured, Zirkzee hasn't trained with the team yet, so if we don't get new players in and fast, we will struggle.

I just said almost the same thing. We should just get ready for another wasted year if they don't buy at least 3 more players

We look very undercooked with 12 days to a new season.

You know the only new faces that have been very consistent and available during this pre season? The youngsters from the academy. With the way our season ended, one would have expected at least 5 new signings by now, with many of these current players sold off or released. But we are going into the new season with the very same players. Funny enough they know how to do well during preseason and switch off when the season starts. If we don't get 3 more players into the team, it will be interesting to see how ETH pulls it off

Those guys just rushed to buy 2 players and rested. SMH

Manchester United kept possession of the ball very well I'm the first half and applied pressure and the press on the Real Betis players. As such they constantly and consistently won back the ball quickly and confined their opponents to their half of the pitch. In fact at a point in that first half our two full backs,Amass and Wan Bissaka were on the half way line.

However in the second half,when Ten Hag made a numerous number of substitutions and introduced many youngsters United fell into their usual pattern of defending deeply and in the end United were bearly hanging on to the 3-2 result.

There is a lot of potential in this team,especially with so many youngsters being blooded. The potential can only be achieved if Ten Hag shuns his old ways,gets rid of favourites in the team and tries to be a little bit bold and confident in playing attacking football at all times.

The players that played the first half are not new players. Majority of them are players that we do not even want to see going into the new season.

I haven't watched any preseason game but the commentary here is not encouraging. I'll wait for the community shield.

Hopefully we get Bruno and Mainoo back soon. Then we can truly assess the team. Hopefully we hope to see more evidence of training through out the match, not just for 15 minutes out of 90 minutes

I think Bayern want to sign Tah before letting De Ligt go. On our part we want to get rid of AWB before signing Mazraoui.

In the midfield, PSG want Neves, I feel they'll be more open to let Ugarte leave after signing the Portuguese, They want to fleece us at this point so they can use the money to buy Neves.

I am not sure we are linked to any LB.

I thought this Mazra guy is for the LB?

I think he did okay but he didn't play the whole 90 minutes. He was quick and eager to impress. But our play became limited when Rasmus got injured and we didn't do anything significant attacking wise. I'm interested in seeing how he performs when we control the game and on the front foot
