This issue was pointed out some years back and the solution to it remains same. The club needs to appoint coaches according to a pre-existing football philosophy. So we avoid the endless replacing of players with each new coach.

You can't buy antony as your marque signing whose profile fits in a possession based team, and then turn around to sign mount the other season who's the complete opposite of a possession based team player.

Madison was there, and ETH went for Mount. You watch them play and you wonder what they do in training. After all the preseason, they will always take some time to get into the season. Soon Rashford will pick form and score some odd goals,and they will go on a winning run even when they don't play well, and people will forget all the problems with the club. But the problems will definitely come back

There's a way the players will play that even when they lose, it's very obvious they were unlucky and will return to winning ways immediately. But the manner in which our players play will just leave you depressed.

I don't think any club manager is in charge of players recruitment. Of course he will recommend players, same as the scouts too but overall the final decision rest with the club/DoF. If the said player is above the club valuation won't the club try to bargain or move on and look for an alternative if the selling club don't yield . Why is everything always different with this Club. Pep was saying some days ago that the club always move away for players way above their valuation, that's how man utd too should be moving too. Not overpaying for average players like Antony for example who was available for 60M b4 this club went back and pay 100M for him

It means he'll be the one telling the club who to sign and who is surplus to requirement. Having said this, the board must even approve the said player.

Remember he wanted to sign Arnautovic last season, the board vetoed that decision. This Greenwood matter is another example.

There are things to blame ETH for without lumping everything up on him.
