Some of these players were either unnecessary or the worst options available. Why will ETH sanction 100m for Antony if he does not believe Antony is one of the best option available? Or he wasn't aware until the club had paid the money and it was too late to turn back? He wasn't aware the club was pursuing Mount and paid 55m for him until he saw the guy at old trafford?

we still have basically same midfield from last season minus Fred and Sabitzer.
there's loads of deadwood to clear out. the reason the management is reluctant to clear out is because they don't want to dig into the market and replace these guys.
maybe the manager had big hopes for the young injured Mainoo, but is that enough replacement?this is not me exonerating Ten Hag of all blames. he gets his fair share, however the board advocates on this space constantly try to paint a picture of massive investments and it's blatant false projections.

When I said Rashford will have to go or drop out of the starting 11 if we're being serious, some thought I was being too extreme. This guy offers nothing if he's not scoring. We won't even have a problem with that if he was scoring regularly but he doesn't. If you push him to the wings, Shaw will become one of our worst players because he will have to join the attack and also defend without any support from Rashford

ETH is too stubborn for his own good. Sometimes I wonder if he learns from his mistake. I was expecting to see Martial, Rashford and Antony start our attack,Bruno, Casemiro and McTominay in a double pivot or as the second 8. Defence would've stayed how it is.

We need a press resistant/ball carrying midfielder so we can control midfield, una talk no say na DDG be the problem. I'm not saying Onana is not doing good so far sha, if it was DDG in between the posts against wolves we'd have come out with a draw at best.

Our players manage to get the ball to the edge of the opposition box and what do they do?? They stand around or stroll with the ball... Little incisive runs or combination plays to unlock the defense and the little runs they do almost eventually end up being ignored. Instead they spam crosses to an invisible Ronaldo forgetting that aside from the fact they do not have a target man( Rashford can never be that) the entire team is made up of weaklings who are not good in the air and the only ones who are are Casemiro and Varane. Two defensive players.

Our players are afraid to get physical, aside from McTominay, every other player from the midfield upwards gets shrugged off the ball at a very alarming rate. Too weak to progress ball, too ineffective for long or incisive passes, too weak to defend.


You have wingers that cannot beat players one on one, create an overload on both wings with the FB's and CM's while leaving your CDM to spam passes and your 2 CB's at the halfway line. You have a sweeper keeper for God sake!!! Work on your combination plays, the one touch passes, the long range shots.e.t.c... E be like say these guys training na to play head tennis from start to finish.

Pressure them nonstop, interchange positions frequently to lose tightmarkers, do it over and over again let's see who first crumbles.






Shaw was horrendous today.

Martinez was atrocious at best.

Casemiro definitely needs a partner, he's legs are gone.

Mount should mount the bench!! There's no way McTom does worse than him in that position.

Garnacho needs a proper reminder that great talents go to waste too. He was inept.

Rashford was ineffective.

And the worst of them all today was Bruno Fernandes!!! Absolutely his worst game I've ever seen. If I was the coach, there's no way he was finishing the match playing like he had to go shit.

Whatever ETH is doing, he needs a proper controller and either he reverts to 4-2-1-3 with the addition of Amrabat or he carries on with two 8's and abandons Mount for McTominay if not, I don't see how this is going to end well for us.
