One thing I know for sure is that, the NLC strike will nd can never affect d hike of fuel price and in essence nigeria will benefit for it,both d poor and rich, NLC or what ever they called them self should go and sit somewhere.okay least I forget, they have never showed them self ever since dis gvt, that why de came out, so that nigeria will believe they still exist.foolz

Finally, we will all be a winner, be it PDP or APC,the critics can go ahead but, by d time d APC led gvt puts nigeria in a good shape,we will all be a winner, tho d critics might be shy to say wow, indeed Mr president is a Good man.

Just this same way I believe APC will kick PDP out of seat, despite d existing tradition of not unseating d incubate,is the same way I still believe d APC, despite d situation nd heavy critics.....

One thing is for sure,d APC led gvt,no matter how worst it gvt is,it will times 10 better than it predecessor.

GOD bless naija

GOD bless Mr president

And may GOD bless us all,who still believe in the progress of Mr president nd the well Growth of NIGERIA.

I'm tired of reading Buhari is a dullard, propaganda cos thts d only thing wailers can come up with, now to d issue at hand, how is d minister corrupt??, I read questions like did he request for the money or not??... It amazes me when pple ask f. Polish questions like that... He openly requested for the loan, through a memo to d NBC, it wasn't done in secret, so for asking for a loan to fund an official trip is now corruption??....i blame our dysfunctional education system because even those who went to school, r d ones talking unintelligently.... Too bad, Pls wailers come up with intelligent criticism, if not to d neutrals like me, u ll seem like clowns
I understand your point but remember Dasuki also openly requested for the money he misused that has landed him in hot soup now.

Learn to understand simple english and once again, dont allow the interpretation of some quack journalists influence your understanding.

He said the inceease in exchange rate is more of the reason than the subsidy which was removed, he did not say subsidy wasnt removed. If subsidy removal adds N10 and exchange rate change adds N45, then it can be said that the exchange rate is more of the driving factor than subsidy removal. It's funny how even a whole Vanguard missed this very simple explanation.
Lol. Don't know why you just want to argue this morning.

Get your facts right, the vp never said that. learn to read and assimilate and do not let others do the reading and assimilation for you because they may be wrong.
That was exactly what he said. The increase in exchange rate is the reason for the increase in fuel prices and not removal of subsidy.

There is a difference between removal of fuel subsidy and price hike. FG did not hike price it only removed subsidy, we should expect that the forces of demand and supply will eventually stabilize the price.
The vice president would disagree with you. According to him there was no subsidy to be removed.

No mind the jegudu jeras! Qatar,UAE,Kuwait with a fraction of our population are not smiling as it is now, don't even get me started on Venezuela, Na blood those ones dey cry!!!

What we need NLC to do is to fight to;

1. Ensure min wage can get the basics: 30-35k.

2. Follow the 350bn capital spending bumper to bumper so we don't end up subsidising corruption in another guise.

3. Fight RMAFC & Wages commission to a standstill so there is income parity among govt establishments.

4. Enforce due process in recruitment; so young graduates without connection won't all be relegated to recharge card sales or fish pond or poultry farming because the elites have taken all the posts with "juice" & left ONLY the chaffs..

I doubt they can get just one of these done though, they are but toothless canines!!

They played dead when job seekers got death in exchange for their 1k, Abba "mass murderer" Moro is still walking free.

Subsidy probe of 2012 eventually turned into a farce!

NASS is living large, their budget (which takes 25% of recurrent expenditure??) is shrouded in secrecy, that one is one battle we ALL need to fight.
If they can't ensure of those points listed shouldn't we be worried? And do we need the NLC to make any of these be a reality?

I agree 13 million might be excessive. But considering the amount of delegates, hotel and feeding cost and other logistics.
Not also forgetting pocket money and shopping trips!!!!
Then the number of delegates should be trimmed down. Not a must they stay in 5 star hotels. When it's the masses they can ask us to manage and endure but our leaders want to enjoy every good thing in life and you think that is fair? If you think there is nothing wrong with this then maybe you're part of the problem.

My point is these entertainers share themselves. For example a girl like Rihanna has gone through Jay z, ChrisBrown, drake, maybe Leonardo and many guys I can't remember their names she had flings with and I'm sure she might have done it with one or two producers and some behind the scene guys. This is a wealthy girl so it's not even about the money it's just their lifestyle. Look at emmanyra was doing ubi Franklin and he wasnt ashamed to talk about it in an interview even when he was engaged or the recent tiwasavage /donjazzy/tuface.
The industry is cursed with high rate of promiscuity even good girl chidinma seems to have joined the bandwagon.
You hear of theirs because they are celebrities and constantly in the news but these things happen to every other person so give them a break. People sleep around daily some for money, some for business others for pleasure. I know of a married woman sleeping with her neighbors or a married man sleeping with girls around in hotels. Nothing new here.

I was just discussing with a friend in the industry, and he said the way this people sample themselves ehn it's a norm a common thing. Even if they are married both the oap's, singers and even actors. They seem to lack self control, because of the prevalence of of the satanic aura in the industry. Even the married ones. I won't be surprised that Omotola has cheated on her husband( with all the luvvy duvvy luvvy) even if it was just a spontaneous action.
Millions of people not in the entertainment industry do cheat on a daily basis so what's your point?

But you cannot say PMS price has been deregulated and at the same time put a cap (of 145). That is the obvious temporal nature of the "solution".

For me they put the cart before the horse. We don't have enough NNPC stations yet to effectively control the price.
That's my problem with this government. Trying to teach people how to run their business. It won't work. There will be a disagreement very soon.

I expect them to update this cap price of 145 as things change. I think this is a temporary "solution" if anything at all.
Nah this is not temporary. This is government saying am done with paying subsidy. No sensible government will bring it back.
What a sensible government is supposed to do is to make things that will cushion the effect of this.

good thing it's pegged at 145
Guess you missed the part where it says dollars would be sourced through secondary source. In case you don't know this means black market. So what happens if dollar continues to rise? You think these marketers will accept to run at a loss or not make maximum profit? Government insistence on that price will only result in hoarding of fuel which will bring scarcity and then masses suffer again. But guess we are used to already after all it's God sent Buhari. Your prayer point should be that dollar does not rise higher than this.

From what I read, no matter the exchange or price of oil, a marketer cannot sell above 145.
From what you understand not what you read.

How logical do you think it is for the prices to remain the same? Government will not render any assistance in sourcing for dollars and so when the marketers spend more to import they should maintain same price? Think am na. They are not there to make loss. If government insists on this benchmark price then we are heading for another fuel scarcity soon. We should just hope dollar doesn't go further than this.

What I read says "the price will NOT be higher than 145". What I take this to mean is, they have pegged the maximum possible price at 145; not that PMS will be sold at a fixed price of 145.
Given the current circumstances.
But say dollar goes up then what happens?
