DONSMITH123: With due respect my brother, since the inception of this government. We have heard enough on the diversification of economy. Tell me what they've achieved on it.
They need to wake up before it'll be too late. PDP stressed diversification for 16 years: how far have they gone? For your information, heavy investment in infrastructural development is one of the key ways out of this recession in that Electrician, welders, labourers, food sellers, landlord will be gainfully employed and have income through 'multiplier effect'. Your case is like someone who is expecting yield/interest on investment, but has not worked heavily to realize enough fund for investment purpose not to talk of investing it. But you forgot that no refinery is working: no constant power supplies: roads are bad: pipe borne waters are dilapidating daily: schools and hospitals are ill-equipped etc despite oil booming in the past. I don't have problem with the borrowing: the problem I have is mistrust on the part of the handlers of the borrowed fund who might not spend the fund for the purpose intended. |

[s] Alphaoscar: Stfu !!!!
Is it today that Muslim students start wearing hijab to school ? This is a practice that has been happening for God knows when even among their teachers and people of other profession and I wonder why you now think it is Aregbesola's doing.
The Christian leaders are the ones making themselves the willing tools in the hands of the enemies of that state. I attended an Anglican primary school managed by the government but on every Friday we always have our morning prayers in the Islamic ways without anybody killing each other.
We even have imam in school then teaching IRK.
The practice was the same when I later transferred to an Ansar-ud-deen school where we have our morning prayers in the Christian ways from monday -Tuesday , on Wednesday you pray silently and call whatever God you which while Thursday - Fridays are for Islamic prayers.
That's why during our days all the students are able to know most the popular songs in the S.O.P and still recite fati'a and other Islamic verses.
This latest move and agitation is strange to us in Yorubaland . Every normal Yoruba family have people of the two religion and they co-exist without any fighting among them.
( And FYI, even my own patents are practicing different religions and they live together in peace).
Edit *** To the bigots abusing me and calling those schools missionary schools please get your fact right . Those schools were established by the missionaries of Christian and Islamic faith but were later taken over by the government couple of decades ago.
The moment the government assume responsibility on them they ceased to be private schools but government schools . Students of whatever faiths or no faith are free to attend those schools. [/s] I don't know who is more confused between Aregbesola and you. From the history, each school has its own uniform which Aregbesola cancelled to promote uniformity and one identity throughout the state: is the use of hijab not an attempt to promote more segregations he claim to put an end to by cancellation of their respective uniforms? The fool, call Aregbe did not even hide his fanatism: he was even harassing other religion who chose to practice their faith too: the question is - if muslim students have rights to practice their religion in public schools, what makes it an offence for other religions to practice theirs too? Christianity and other religions too have their own mode of dressing, which they put aside when it comes to public school, but reverse is the case when it comes to islam all in an attempt to promote dominance. Nobody is saying you should not practice your religious rite because answarudeen, tajudeen school etc are there for you to cater for your needs not in public school. Get it right. |

Your stupidity is legendary. Office of National Security Adviser is solely responsible for the replacement/purchase of highly secured vehicles for all the past Presidents: apart from their salaries from Presidency, the office was even charged with the responsibility of providing full security for all the past presidents as one of their entitlements.
The purchase and reception of this was duly documented and acknowledged by Ministry of Finance and PMB himself, which he even declared when declaring his assets. Here is the constitutional provision for the avoidance of doubt:
Security
Civilian Head of State 2. (1) Three to four armed policemen.
(2) One State Security Service Officer not below Grade Level 10 as an Aide de Camp to be attached for life and paid by the State Security Agencies.
Vehicles
3. (1) Three vehicles to be bought by the Federal Government and liable to be replaced every four years.
(2) The drivers shall be selected by the Head of State, and paid by the Federal Govern-ment.

Lukay99: Chickens? Really is that from Christianity? why result to name calling? Did I call you names ? and you always claim muslims are the intolerant people.
To answer your question A school uniform is a uniform worn by students primarily for a school or otherwise educational institution. They are common in primary and secondary schools in various countries.
Will the Christian accept the Muslim School uniform as the normal Standard? If the answer is no why should the Muslim then accept the Christian uniforms as the normal standard
who's fulling who? I have nothing against Christians but I think you guys should at list practice what you preach
CHRISTIANS School Uniform MUSLIMS School Uniform NIGERIAN Public School Uniform 'Chickena' not 'chicken'. Typed in an error. The point you raised above is invalid: how can you refer the uniform as Christian uniform when it is obvious that this is the template? Or are traditional worshippers in Osun using another uniform apart from the one used by Christians? Schools were set up by missionaries historically, and Christians have been admonished to shelve thie various denominational attires to ensure uniformity. That's why Ansarudeen were created by Muslims to catter for their religion. Culturally, students are expected to be allowed to wear their different scalfs and even wrapper, but they forsake this to ensure uniformity. To butress my point, I have a teacher while in secondary school whose name was Bello. This man was found of going after all traditional worshippers who wear 'local ifa bead' out of which my friend was always the culprit: he always beat my friend cos of his indignant to uniformity: how I wish I could see him face to face now so that he can explain the rationale behind that to me? However, who is to blame if not the useless Governor merging something that cannot be easily merged. |

Education › Re: Photos Of Osun Students In Church Garments by Ephemmm: 8:28pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
Lukay99: School uniform? You Christians just don't get it. What we have in Nigeria today as uniforms should not be called school uniform.
Just like I posted before A public school that collects money from a any government in any multi religion state should first put into consideration all the different religious(beliefs) before deciding on a school uniform which Nigeria failed to do, what we have today in Nigeria as school uniforms were mostly designed by the so called white colonial masters and their missionary partners who's tenets of the religion were used to justify the actions of the colonists(they used Christianity to justify rape, murder, theft, and empire). If the Nigerian states can come up with a school uniform that all the different religion within its boundaries are Ok with, then fine, but if not, then it should be no uniform in any public schools. Just like public schools in the U.S. were no uniforms.
But if you still insist on this same uniforms for muslims then I think the proper thing for you to do is to go start your own private Christian school were you can have 100% freedom to decide what others can and not wear Define uniform for me please. Just as you posted, public school is not meant for religious practice, if you want Muslim students to dress like pudah, you can establish your own Islamic school like Hijira University. Chickens! |
