Sponsor of the motion, Onyema Chukwuka, had expressed displeasure over the award of the “contract to ASISL notwithstanding the fact that the company was incorporated at the Corporate Affairs Commission on 2 December, 2016, just two working days before the award was made.”
According to him, this is indicative of the fact that the provisions of the Public Procurement Act, 2007 and other subsidiary legislation were not complied with. Corruption under different guises. They must reveal the owners of that company to the public. |

He is amiable we get it, but it is only the actions that will make an impact on that vegetable seller's life and the lives of others.

The accident was caused by brake failure. Either it is a fake item imported from China. Or a shady mechanic. Or an irresponsible driver who simply hasn't bothered to get it checked out. And this is how we needlessly joke with human lives in Nigeria. No standards. |
Crime › Re: How Traditional Ruler Ordered Police Inspector To Be Buried Alive by ephi321(f): 10:54am On Jun 02, 2017 |
The deceased, Inspector Musa Sunday, was abducted, tortured and later buried alive while on illegal duty at Ibeju Lekki. Sunday and four of his men were alleged to have been drafted to guard a land, which was under dispute by their Admin Officer (AO), at Ibeju Lekki.
The policemen were drafted to the disputed land without the knowledge of the Officer in Charge of SARS (OC) and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni. The skeleton of the inspector, 45, a father of four children, with their ages ranging from four, six, eight and 12, was exhumed from a shallow grave after six months search.
He took police to the shallow grave at Ibeju Lekki. Police brought pathologists from Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), to exhume Sunday’s corpse. “One of the pathologists, when he saw Sunday’s skeleton, said that it looked as if he was buried with his hands tied behind. This is just so very evil. Tied his hands and buried him alive. All because of land? The sad thing is they will use connection and "my person" factor to get that Baale released. |

Incredible. |

Firgemachar: I didnt vote! I couldnt get my PVC!!
Yes, GEJ wanted to annihilate Yorubas politically. He gave us a prelude of what to expect in his first term when Yorubas were grossly marginalised on all fronts. Cough. Now it's the PVC. hmm. For your second point, there is no evidence to that, back up your claims, annihilate is a strong word. I can't even compare appointments made during that period to the whole Northernocracy going on right now, so basically we've gone from frying fan into a blazing fire. |

FriendNG: Then the bill was turn down. Why? Majority are against it. Why? You have no friends, you build walls and insult others. You still don't understand the concept of fairness in running a country or institution, why should fairness be based on friendship? No wonder all the government agency jobs go to the unqualified, because they are the ones with "friends in power". I get you now. We really do have a problem in this country with this kind of thinking. Quite unfortunate. |

Firgemachar: It will surprise you that I used to be an ardent GEJ fan.
But when it dawned on me that he was actually scheming to completely annihilate we Yorubas politically all the while, I changed. That was in 2016.
If GEJ had won a second term, Yorubas would have been politically doomed. We'd be lucky if we had the position of deputy speaker. You were an "ardent GEJ fan" but you voted PMB and still flayed him minutes ago. Not nice. First time I am hearing GEJ wanting to annihilate Yorubas. How? When? Where? |

FriendNG: I agree with you every part deserve fairness but this was done in National Assembly. And it is a matter of majority, you build bridges with other even before you move the motion. But happen? The sponsor of the motion wasn't even present. That's not true. It was the first time the sponsor wasn't around. He later presented it and the bill was still turned down. This whole thing will snowball eventually at this rate. “ Now that he is here , we will take it. Nobody will shut out anybody because we don’ t have the right to do that. ” Dogara calmed frayed nerves and opened debate on the bill. |

FriendNG: But the reasons are there: We build bridges with other members and eventually they support it. Every part of the country is entitled to development. Stop hiding under the guise of "not building bridges" to support an unfair act. The SE is still a part of Nigeria at this current moment, still contributes to its coffers, and so should be entitled to what any other region is entitled to. That is fairness. One of the key things lacking in this country. |

Your favorite candidate lost an election badly, move on and map out strategies for next election and not disturbing the peace of the nation and making the country ungovernable for the admin. Interesting you used the word "ungovernable". There is only one person who is known to have used that word, Buhari. So maybe subconsciously you are trying to say something else. |

FriendNG: Two Reasons Make The Bill To Fail:
1. They Igbo (PDP) refuse to build bridges with other members, they choose to buid walls. Who do you expect to support this bill: The illiterate Ab0ki or the Ewedu eating brown teeth Afonjas. You have fight with every every.
2. The bill is uncalled for. The southeast is Paradise, Biafrans have developed it. Those kinda of bills is meant for the poverty backward illiterate north or northeast specifically. We already have commision for the backward northest, remain commission for backward northwest, followed by Northcentral.
The north must be drag from 1960 to 2017 and that's what Emir of Kano Sunusi is calling for. So why was a similar bill passed for the North? I can see you are trying to be sarcastic, but you've failed. A similar bill to establish the North- East Development Commission had since been passed by the National Assembly, awaiting the assent of President Muhammadu Buhari. |

The cause of the rowdiness was the rejection of a bill seeking to establish a South - East Development Commission The bill failed at the session , which was presided over by the Speaker, Mr . Yakubu Dogara, after it had been debated. A similar bill to establish the North- East Development Commission had since been passed by the National Assembly, awaiting the assent of President Muhammadu Buhari. Hopefully everyone can see what is happening here. Why will a different standard be applied to similar bills? If this bill is rejected, then the North-East one must be recalled and rejected as well. Meanwhile on top of all the North-East Devp bills and commissions, development is still retrogressing in the North, what is wrong with these people? |
