Pls, I'm aboit to own my first car woth a budget of 700k to 800k. Someone offered Honda EOD to me @800k, but I've heard negative stories about Honda ball joint pull.
Looking @ my budget, which cars would u recommend that have minimal issues. Is the EOD 005/004 okay?

My dear, it's not about how you define it or your seeing a married man arrested for whatever reason. The truth is that our penal code, criminal code and other allied laws are very restrictive in their definition of rape. It has nothing to do with our law enforcement authorities.
Have you ever seen a man convicted for raping his wife in Nigeria? A man can be convicted for assaulting his wife (sexually or otherwise) and not for raping her. It cannot happen unless the law is repealed. Irrespective of how we both see it, law is what it is until repealed. There are other things about our laws you may argue against, eg. It's not an offence recognised by Nig. laws to sleep with someone's wife/husband. It's not rape when a man is forcefully penetrated anally by another man. It can come under some other offences but not rape.

There is a grave difference btwn law as it is and law as it ought to be.

For knowledge sake, rape is impossible to occur in marriage, the same way a man is incapable of being raped by Nigerian laws. Except the law changes, what we call rape sometimes could only pass as assault, defilement (for persons under a certain age) etc.

Section 3 (a) & (b) of Personal Income Tax Act - INCOME CHARGEABLE - "gain or profit from any trade, business, profession or vocation... (b) any salary, wage, fee, allowance or other gain or profit from employment including compensations, bonuses, premiums, benefits..."

Bro, it's taxable according to the Nigerian Law (Personal Income Tax Act). However, so many organizations don't pay tax on it. In fact, some organizations don't pay tax on the total salary which is why some of them have two salary accounts; one for upfronts, another for end of the month. They remit only on the end of the month's salary.

Is it not better to use percentage of the income left after removing all recurrent expenses like feeding, transport, home running, etc. This is because you pay your rent from what is left after those expenses. Some people's rent could be 10% of their salary and 70% of their take-home after the above is factored.

My annual rent is 8% of my annual salary net of taxes and statutory contributions, and 24% of my annual salary net of all other recurrent expenses.
