oops! pardon my manners. Just taking the week off Gabby. It's my favorite time of the year and as much as I love Nairaland, I have to take some time off to spend quality time with my family (full house) and friends. See y'all next Sunday.

simple and tasty

Tostones (Puerto Rican)
　
Ingredients

oil for frying
green plantains, slice approx. 1.5 inche slices
salt to taste

Directions

Heat the oil in a large skillet. Place the plantains in the oil and fry on both sides; approximately 3 1/2 minutes per side.
Remove the plantains from the pan and flatten the plantains by placing a plate over the fried plantains and pressing down.
then return them to the hot oil and fry 1 minute on each side. Salt to taste and serve immediately.

Why you want to change it?

I used to be just a visitor to NL before, but there was a discussion on my university which I couldn't resist not contributing. That was why I joined NL. The zeal to defend my uni, which informed my joining, reflected on the username I chose.

Now I'm no longer comfortable with that ID. First,I'm not the only Ife grad here. Dayokanu,tkb, spikedcylinder,eastbay and others also are. The ID is too expressive.
Pls Seun send me a private message so that I can reply you, stating the new ID I want be known as.

I got plenty licks for singing these two song. At that time, I didn't know the meaning of the songs but my mum still beat me my buttocks had marks on it. Other kids were singing these songs and their mums didn't beat them. I got the most licks out of all my mum children - not fair

but even though she hasnt been that active on the forum lately, i think mohawkchic should have been nominated.
she used to do A LOT on this section and at one point was more active than the MOD.
i even thought she should take over and run both fashion and food.
but oh well.
my vote would have went to mohawchic.
