That's the worst thing that can happen when you travel by train in Nigeria. I was lucky as the trained derailed not too far from there station. Many are not always lucky on several occasions. Imagine, a train derail somewhere in the bush and passenger have to stay there for days especially those without cash on them. This country is a joke, I swear.

lol...you're very right. i was very lucky, ours derailed at their minna station. saying what got spoilt has been ordered for Kaduna and would be in minna in 90mins. that was how we stayed in minna from 1am to 7am, the stuff was still yet to arrive. I just packed my bad and left to the nearest park in minna angrily and boarded a bus to Kano.. I regretted being a Nigerian that day.. if we couldn't get simple stuffs as that right and I wonder when the country will get better. I felt pity for those that remained there cos I called back 5pm that same day and they said the stuff from kd was still yet to arrive. what annoyed me was that they knew the train was faulty since we left Lagos. we left Lagos 3pm and arrived Ibadan 1am( almost 10hrs). where it was partially fixed. we left I.b and arrived illorin 10am..it continued troubling us till we got to minna station.

Mehn, anybody that wants to have a feel of rain experience shouldn't try it in Nigeria.. if you're too broke to afford road transport kindly pay for attachment and stand rather than following train.

I ad the same experience, the first and the only time I traveled on train from Osogbo to Kano. The trains are not maintained- very untidy; ticket racketeering is the norm, in fact the whole system is an eye sore. The height of it all is the over crowding of the coaches. Why can't government modernise NRC?

Few days ago, I decided to try water transportation in Lagos. I moved from Ajah side to Ikorodu. But to my surprise despite the whole media noise, the standard is still very low. The ferry seems like the one used 100yrs ago. The system is far from average. "This country go better" has now become a trite saying.

you're very right, it's way too overcrowded.. no passage whatsoever in the train..people are just packed up like sardines...


ferry keh? I'm not sure that i'll try that soon, with the poor maintenance culture in the country where they'll know something is bad but will still use it until it's totally damaged before they repair.. make the ferry no go stop for centre of water like the way the useless train stopped for minna with no hope to be be fixed.

my alma mater...R.I.P to the dead..although I heard the death toll was more than that with some others missing. I always complained about that bridge to a friend whenever I passed there with her..it's just so unfortunate

hmmmm..almost same scenario as mine. but the other way round. we broke up last year, due to tribal and religion difference (of which I know it's a lie) cos a week or two later I heard she was dating one yahoo guy like that...I was vexed and motivated to hustle harder..no be say i too broke sha..I dey try for the gal, i dey buy join money buy her fone when she needs one + also send her small change every month end tho I was a student then.


now to your matter, she calls me occasionally and we talk for hours, I have never called her cos from the way she talks I feel she still has soft spots for me even tho she doesn't fail to flaunt her she and her current bf love each other and he bought her iPhone 8+ and some other goodies even when I've never asked her about their r/ship. last time she called we talked for long with her saying she couldn't believe I could live without her and all sort of rubbish. I decided to play along telling her I've missed her and how I'm hustling to make money so as to come get her..she the way she was blushing on fone, I immediately felt pity for the bf. she also disturbs that she wants to see me..that since we broke up we haven't met...i said it's not neccesary..her priority should be her new bf. I asked her if her bf knows she still calls me, she said yes, cos she assured him nothing will happen between us cos she can't leave him, that she loves him(identical to your gf, right).

now, I don't plan on getting back with her cos I tried to put my self in her bf's shoe and I know that wouldn't be nice. even though I know I still stand a chance to see her panties again but it's not just right to me. and yeah , I was her first.

now back to you...tell her you aren't comfortable with her contacting the ex always, it isn't hygienic. cos my mum was once said cos goat be your friend no mean say e no go chop your am...say NO to male besties/ very close friends, ex's that don't wanna remember they are exs and finally trust no gal.. i'm speaking from experience.. have a nice day

I have always believed in this country, I always taught it would be great..but I never believed the words "Nigeria will never get better" would ever come out from my mouth..but it did just last Friday. I realized Nigeria can NEVER get better, we should face reality and stop sugar coating what's not. having faith is different, working towards making that faith come to pass is another thing.

if I tell you what I passed through last Friday cos I wanted to have a rail experience to Kano, you'll cry for me.

As a full blood Igbo as she is, Igbos will not name their children anyhow name, because people's names are their guide in life. You will never see any igbo parents naming their children a meaningless names. Oprah Winfrey said she regreated no changing her name, because it has no meaning, but when she started working as a TV broadcaster they liked how her name sounded and she kept it because its unique. So many people are in a mess today because of their names. A lot have died untimely because of the name they adopted from the magazines or TV without knowing the meaning. But, you are right bro. lol, you're right bro, that was how some years ago, my mum's young(not married) niece named her daughter one English name like that, when they came visiting, mum asked for the name of the baby, when they told mum, she could barely pronounce it correctly..she was like, what kinda name is this? and the niece replied, it's an English/Spanish name..mum asked what it means na so the girl quiet oh...mom was like , how can you name your daughter a name that doesn't have meaning. she was just quiet.. it was later I realised she named the daughter after a cast in one soap opera like that , that year.
