siamia:Thank you, I'm honored to be here amongst such great minds and personalities. |
Omotayor123: Omotayor123:I think these your questions are totally inappropriate and uncalled for. They sound more like mockery than curiosity. Life isn't all about marriage you know. Some people will rather be happily single than being imprisoned in an unhappy matrimonial home. |
Hi guys, how are y'all doing? This is a great thread with the right intentions and hopefully will yield the desired results even though I'm in no way eligible to participate with you guys (I'm in my mid twenties). My reason for this comment is to get clarity and hopefully better knowledge a on couple of things. Firstly, is it everyone here that is single due to past/present relationship misfortunes or some are single by choice? Personally, I have a problem with the Nigerian interpretation of marriage, the pressure they exert on single people at particular ages and the fact that they think it is an achievement in life. I strongly feel Nigerians need a reorientation on the whole idea of marriage and need to understand that it isn't a 'do or die' affair. Over time, I've noticed that most marriages in Nigeria fail because most participants of the concerned union were not ready but pressurized into making the ultimate decision. Most of them don't even spend enough time to know their partners before tying the knot due to said parental and community pressure and stigmatization. Secondly, I really understand where you are coming from with the age restriction but I still strongly believe a lot of semi-indomie kids (e.g. Myself) might also have a thing or two to contribute. Some of us are actually way ahead of our ages. I also suggest you guys find a way to contact Seun and pitch the idea of him giving OPs reasonable control over their threads, such as hiding comments. That way nobody will need to start making reports to MODs and waiting till eternity for them to take action. Every OP will have the responsibility of keeping his/her thread tidy and relevant. With such a system, Miss Siamia won't need to bother herself launching and relaunching warnings, she can always get rid of irrelevant and immature comments herself. Thirdly, I don't think anybody that is desperate to either find love or get married should be here. He/She will only end up worsening their case. Desperation is a destructive disease, it makes everyone see your vulnerability and play on it. Nobody wants to be stuck to a desperate partner. So if you are at that stage, take time to rediscover yourself. Find your values and reasons you are worth it. Believe in yourself because if you don't, nobody else will. That said, I'll like to make friends here if you guys won't mind the age difference. I wish everyone the very best, happy mingling and remember that honesty is key. Nothing built on a foundation of lie(s) can ever stand, let alone last. CIAO! |
sam121:Interesting, that's cool. Nice meeting you. |
What's all these I've been reading since? So having one's ex pictures on one's phone is wrong? Wow! That's some warped mentality. This is what happens when people feel their only purpose on earth is for relationships. Regardless of how the break up was, that person was a part of your life and any boyfriend that's jealous because his girlfriend has her ex's pictures on her phone really needs a lengthy therapy session. People be treating relationships like marriages. After getting rid of your "life" because of a boyfriend, he'll probably still end up leaving and then you would have lost your identity because you built your life around him. That's why most ladies find it difficult being alone or moving on after break ups. They always need to be in a relationship because they've lost the essence of who they really are in a bid to live up to their boyfriend's expectations. @ OP. You having the pictures of your ex is not an issue. You mistakenly uploaded your ex's picture, that might be an issue. If you apologized and he still doesn't believe you or want to let go of your offense, it sure means he doesn't trust you. If you are comfortable in a relationship that you are not trusted, who am I to say otherwise? Have fun. |
chrislong:Bro... Well done o. I went through that your free logo thread and I might not be an authority in graphics design, but I'll still say my bit. You got a long way to go bro, those are not even vector images and no informed client will pay a dime for something like that. In fact they might be furious for wasting their time. Take little time off designing and focus more on gaining knowledge. Read articles on logo design, things that constitute a logo, characteristics of a logo, softwares suitable for logo design, samples of professional logos, etc. After this, I'm sure you'll approach logo design from a more informed perspective. Thank you. |
mcmeffy:Thanks for the correction, was an honest oversight. |
Good morning, I'm not in the job search sector but I will like to submit my opinion. First, I'm assuming there's an explanation of the 30-second test because I don't know what that means, mind shedding more light on it? Secondly, saving your file in word as recommended by jobberman might just be because of the size advantage. I'm assuming they are thinking of whoever is reading it as a very busy person who might even be trying to access your CV on the move on a mobile device. Ease of download will play a key role under such conditions, might unconsciously give you an edge. My widow's mite, all the best. |

I don't know why but I strongly feel the Friday guy is the real victim here. This Lawani guy needs to be seriously investigated. The text messages and all could have been sent by him with Friday's phone. Why will Friday be texting the family to apologize knowing fully well that nobody knew he was the one that did it. And why is Lawani not the type they were looking for? What's their criteria? Many others entered and none was spared from his story, were they all up to their sacrificial standards? The story sounds more like a cover up than actual events. Many questions begging to be answered. The authorities should just do their job diligently. |
mvpakin:I also know creativity, I know "standard" logo design also. And this my dear friend is a long way off. |
mvpakin:Firstly, I don't think this can pass for a logo. I don't even understand it. That's my opinion though, maybe a little enlightenment from you will reset my thoughts. |
I designed the logo and promotional materials for a friend. Criticisms, questions and comments will be welcomed and appreciated. Thank you.

GlorifiedTunde:If you don't mind, I'll like you to make a monogram of the "Jane Innovation Technology" logo. |
mrbillz:Python is "Ejo ila" or something close to that. |
Jagoon:Oka is Cobra... This is a puff adder, it's called "MonaMona". I guess the name was given due to its mesmerizing skin pattern. |
petkay:I'm presently in Lagos, don't know for how long though. What services are you in need of? |
JUNIT1:What's the rationale behind the question? |
That looks more like a printing mishap than an intentional conversion. What you see can be done by isolating the particular parts with the colors and adjusting with the hue/saturation option. |
Thank you sir. |
