Photography is mixed with "Graphics/Videos" Section.

will try to create a tutorial on it sometime soon. the set table is a picture i got from ma bruva, i added the map of Nigeria, the coat of arms and changed the color of the plate from white to green(though not smoothly done)... not sure i used up to an hour on it, was just inspired by the picture and decided on the spot that i won't let it waste. Hope i satisfactorily answered ur question.

Make a 'PROUDLY NIGERIA(N)' design(any size and format). You can draw up inspiration from anywhere, just be original. Its not all about the voucher, its about tasking and challenging yourself. i know its a piece of cake.

This contest is opened for "TWO(2) WEEKS" so lets get that creativity flowing.

Winner will be decided partially by comments and by mod(s)...

As some already might have noticed, i'm saddled now with the responsibility of moderating this section and after a couple of hours of being in Ugo-boss's shoes, i can say 'ITS NOT EASY'. But i clamored for development, as most of you guys also did. Now i need your help! I plan on trying to make more topics from this section make the front-page. The only way that can be achieved is if we all are selfless. We all are designers and regardless of the number of clients we already have, we want more. we want to showcase ourselves and let people appreciate us.
On that note, more topics offering free designs will be started(i believe this is the best way to make front page, make our statement and sell our works to a larger audience). So i'll be needing every graphic designer proud of their talent and confident of their works to help make this happen. Its not only to build graphics section, but also to build and gain clients for ourselves. I know we can, so lets do it.

No ooooo! Na only ma name i dey see as mod... No ooo. we should realise its our personal development that keeps us away from here most times and that being said, just me can't moderate this section. We need a situation where at least a mod will be available at all times. Abeg o, if it has to be only me, then its as good as not making any changes o. We need development, not just change.

why not just search through any search-engine?? thats more straight-forward with more sources.

Won't mind being a moderator, but definitely alongside my Ugo-boss... I believe he has done a great job and only needs some support.

@Ugo... yes BOSS! don't know if there's a way mods can know those who view topics. Try to make commenting a requirement to view a topic. If you won't comment, then don't bother opening or face specific consequences.

Boss Ugo, we aint blaming u boss. I just believe we need ways to encourage ourselves for our own sake. instead of uploading images directly on some sites(like twitter, linked in, facebook, etc), why not upload them here and share the link on the other sites?? little things like this will go a long way in opening this section to outsiders, we will generate more traffic for Nairaland and Seun will pay more attention to this section and its development. We might even be able to convince him into organizing contests for nairaland graphic designers. I'll organise a few, but nah only recharge card i go fit afford as price. I won't just write this section off, there are still a million ways to revive it and they involve each and every one of US.

I wonder how people think atimes... Not like she was imposed, a free and fair by-election took place. it can happen anywhere in the world and its called compensation. Whats with this "mourning period" thrash. Her husband died, is she supposed to mourn all her life and not make use of the opportunity offered her to build her family the way the late husband would?? I just wish we'll someday get more rational people to comment around here...

"MANHUNT"?? Which 'man' are they 'hunting'?? I shud be seeing something like, "Police arrests suspects of Uniport students' jungle justice'. There's a video, and a very clear mention of 'elders' of a community. Why is it in obvious cases that Nigerian police always decides to use stupid terms to disguise their incompetence?? What more evidence do they need?? For the so-called elders and people clearly shown in the video to walk into their stations themselves?? A police that can trace fone records and track people through phone calls(late Cynthia's case) where evidence was even scarce now finds it hard arresting people when there is more than enough evidence... Irony of Nigerian System...

don't know if i'm the only person who has noticed this but this graphics section has lost all its glory. These days, anybody hardly posts... and even when someone decides to post, people just look and get moving, not even comment to encourage or otherwise. The basic instrument of growth for any good graphics designer is 'FEEDBACK'. How are we supposed to develop when we can't even encourage, criticise, scold or even associate with ourselves We got a rare gift of creativity, why not help each other hone our gifts and skills?? I'll love to have that very interactive and active graphics section on Nairaland, that section i can flow with my kind and be sure i got people who i can always depend on for valuable feedback.
