Yes! We are just friends. We have known each other for abt 9mths. We are currently serving in d same place of primary assignment & she lives next door. We have been good friends & a really close type but we have never gone beyond that even though people around us think otherwise. But last month she told she loves me & she would like us to start a relationship. I told her I really like her but I'm not ready to start a relationship bt she's having non of that because she persisted. D part that scared me d most was when she said I'm d kind of guy she would like to get married to. I'm not relationship crazy. I have not been in a relationship or had s3x in 4yrs. She agreed partially to let d issue go but she always wants me around her. I was chatting with her in her room one evening and she made d move & I didn't resist but I can recall vividly that I withdrew before ejaculation. She is beautiful and has incredible body attributes so the thought of having s3x with her has crossed my mind a few times.
She pinged me last week that she is having some symptoms of pregnancy so I told her to go and do the test and I will send her the money she will spend. She told me yesterday that she went to the hospital but she had to do the urine test because she is afraid of needles and the nurse told her it's positive and it's 3wks old. I told her to do the one of blood test and get back to me but d real problem is that I'm not ready 4 dis. My parents are going to be extremely disappointed and even my younger ones that see me as a role model. as a matter of fact I can't even count the number of people that will be disappointed in me because everyone trust me a lot including extended family. I'm not even through with my service year so I don't know how I will be able to handle this. my action was very stupid and I'm now considering another stupid one(abortion)
I'm really confused right now

EducationRe: Two UNILORIN Students Get Merrill Lynch Appointments! by ericiland: 1:09pm On Sep 23, 2014
HoluwadareY: Two students of the University of Ilorin, Abeeb Adebayo and Ajoke Ogunshola, have been offered full time jobs with one of the world's top financial institutions, the Bank of America Merrill Lynch, London, after undergoing a nine-week internship training programme with the Bank in London.
Ogunsola, a graduating student in the Department of Counsellor Education, and Adebayo, a 400L student of the Department of Accounting, were selected to participate in the 2014 summer undergraduate internship having started out as “Campus Ambassadors”. The programme is targeted at engaging undergraduate students from select universities across the country regardless of their disciplines or courses of study, but with flair for Finance.
In an interview with Unilorin Bulletin, Ogunsola said, “In my intern class, we were close to 200 from different continents of the world; Nigeria and Ghana represented Africa. Students were selected from the best five universities in each of these countries in order to meet the standard.”
Ogunsola, who interned with the Global Market Division of the Bank, disclosed that she interned on the Commodities Desk and the Equities. On the contributions of the University of Ilorin to her success, she said, “I would say the University of Ilorin is still the best for many reasons. First, I was here for three and half years, not even up to four years- I had an academic session with no negative break whatsoever; there was no strike. I don't think any other Federal University can say that. I learnt in a conducive environment and I have professors that were willing to answer my questions. I think if I have not been in this kind of environment, I might not have been able to do so well because the challenges came and we are able to deal with it and above all, the University of Ilorin has a disciplined environment.
“By the grace of God, I should be graduating with a Second Class Upper in Counsellor Education; after which, I will undergo the national service year and then go back to London as a full time employee of Bank of America Merrill Lynch” Ogunsola said.
On his part, Adebayo said: “I gained a lot of experience that I wouldn't have learnt in the four walls of the classroom; an experience that would last me a lifetime. I learnt things like paying attention to detail, possessing good communication skills. It is not just enough to write it on your Curriculum Vitae, those are the things that I learnt on the job; the ability to work under pressure really matters. I was taught how to use Excel in the class, power point presentations and all that, but I never really had enough practice. On the job, I get to learn a lot of that, learn a lot of shortcuts in Excel, Power point, how to build a model, how to analyse financial statements properly, and how to predict what's going to happen to a particular company, value and many more.”
In his reaction, the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Abayomi Omotesho, said, “We are very proud of them. They have represented the University very well. When we first got an invitation last year to attend the programme in Lagos, we were one of the few universities in the country that had that privilege.”
He said, “I think they have portrayed the University well that they can compete with their peers anywhere; for them to have gone from this relatively backward background –talking about the infrastructure in the country, and to have performed so well. They have placed the name of the University on the world map, I am sure Merrill Lynch will be very willing in the future to take more interns from the University.”Prof. Omotesho enjoined them to “continue to be good ambassadors of the University because whatever you do has implication particularly for other people, once you have raised the bar. Anytime they see somebody from the University of Ilorin, the first thing will be we have very good experience with UNILORIN so let's try these ones too.”
“The way the world is going today, it is your skills that really matter. I will encourage our students to identify areas that they can excel and where they have comparative advantage and make the best use of it. If your hobby becomes your job, then you know you are going to excel at it because you are happy doing what you are doing. Passing through the University, take as much as possible and act like a sponge and soak up as much knowledge as you come across and use it practically”, the Dean advised other students. EducationRe: 6 Reasons You Shouldn’t Attend A Private University by ericiland: 1:14pm On Sep 09, 2014
dryakson: Many Nigerian students these days often move quickly to queue for private universities when
making a choice of institution.

I agree that private universities have advantages like the absence of strike, easy access to
lecturers… Well, that’s about all.

Public universities, federal and state, have a lot of advantages, from cheaper school fees, to the
freedom to be an adult. Public universities expose you to the real world, introduces you to the
hustle of life unlike private universities that consist of a lot of brats who are literally spoon-fed.

They are so pampered, making difficult to face the real world when they become graduates.
So here’s my case for choosing a public university.

1. Public universities allow for freedom and independence:

Students in public universities enjoy the freedom to make decisions for themselves and learn to
be almost independent. Private universities keep students within the four walls of their campuses
and under certain rules more suited for teenagers than young adults. The laws in public
universities are not imposed on the students; they are just the basic principles a normal student
is meant to follow. It’s funny when I see pictures of private university students being punished or
hear of certain rules like compulsory attendance of chapel, feeding time tables, dress codes,
e.t.c. It is absurd; these are adults!

2. Cost of education:

It is a lot cheaper to attend public university than a private one and this is not limited to school
fees. Cost of living on public universities is also cheaper. Students cook their own meals and hav
e access to shops on campus and in town where prices of goods and services are competitive.
On the other hand, the cost of living on a private university secluded campus for one semester is
enough to build a house.

3. Public university gives “exposure” to students:

It’s more than obvious that public university students are ”sharper” than private university
students. Private university students who are often referred to as “JJC” or “Learners” by public
university students, live what I term “the microwave life” which is the easy life.
In federal universities you get to meet all sorts: from cultists to Aristo chicks, people with
different personalities. It makes one exposed to what life really is. One is exposed to the hustle
and learns how to struggle for things. There are still brats in federal universities but most of
them get to grow up when exposed to the hustle.

4. Life on and off campus is FUN:

There are so many parties to attend, clubs and events. One gets to meet real people, one also
learns to be real. There is a lot of gist and gossip, lot of things to laugh at. Rather than chapel,
it’s clubbing. Dating is even fun in federal schools. Couples express love without fear as adults.
One gets to see students that are rich and poor mingling as equals; students who express
themselves through their dressing and not relegated to some uniform.

5. Hard work is compulsory

Students in public universities have worked through exceptional odds to succeed; challenges that
help one not take life for granted. Imagine a department of over a thousand students with a very
small lecture hall or a lecturer who spends only twenty minutes in a class where he is meant to
spend two hours, or one who only gives handouts. Faced with issues like these, students work
extra hard to come out with well-deserved results.

6. Public universities produce more mature graduates:

With all the challenges: strikes, nonchalant lecturers, freedom to express yourself as adult etc,
public universities are more equipped for life after graduation. They know that things would not
just be handed to them and are used to making decisions for themselves.
