BTW, who's the fine girl in the picture? Is that the Ms Opukiri that wrote the article?

You clearly do not know what the case is about.

The CPS in the UK have proof that she was in cahoots with Aluko and the other two of her boys to salt money away. Money she didn't work for.

Also companies that bribed her and didn't see shishi after she left government have turned on her.

She, as with all our other saviours in PDP now inADC, looted the economy and we are still all suffering for that.

She will see jail time and deportation if she can't claim asylum after her imprisonment.
This is what happens when you do not read right and base your assumptions on hear say.I have been opportune to attend court 2 two days in a roll for this case, As it stands there is no evidence of any sort, even that bawa or what he is called could not bring his face to court via video link, Even the so called witness that was called could not answer any of the question, all the gana must go bags they claimed they found at hers could not be proven, Not even the Houses they claimed belong to her was proven, The blooody phone evidence proves nothing. The whole 117mins phone recording is of two conversation only where she was accusing them Aluko and Omokeri, They too will soon find themselves on the stand. If these two have nothing to hide why don't they give evidence live on video link. So they could be cross examined instead of going via the agreed fact route?
Lastly the CPS are not the prosecutors rather the EFCC are, where you got the CPS name from in this matter I do not know, I made mention of £30k in cash, was the reason for the initial arrest and subsequent release. As things stand she faces 6 charged 5 for accepting bribe and 1 for conspiracy to bribe, So where does the looting case, erm embezzlement case, There is no where in this case she is being accused of buying mansions or cars or stealing. The accusation centres around bribe by Oil companies to win contracts to operate Oil wells in Nigeria, sounds familiar?

Good to know she is not indicted by the recording.

This woman may be acquitted soon.
She has no case to answer, I have read the accusation against her, There is no Nigerian factor here, ie has nothing to do with Nigeria government persecuting her here, the way it sounds it looks like the Uk is using Nigeria as a witness in this case imagine, And there was nothing in the recording, unless someone from Nigeria comes with an evidence that does no implicate others in Nigeria like Jonathan did with Ibori.

My point isn’t about where the case is being tried. My concern is about how long high-profile corruption cases take, whether in Nigeria or abroad. When justice is slow, it weakens accountability. Its worse off in Nigeria also
This case is due for 10 to 12 weeks. If you are in the Uk or have anyone there and they want to follow I have the details Court 2 at Southwark crown court.

Why?
If found guilty, she should be jailed and striped off all assets she acquired under dubious means. Sending her back without proper trial will only make her to continue from where she stopped by joining the devilish party that has been suffering the whole country, even their own brothers.
Bross her asset is public knowledge in the Uk unlike other people who ran to Dubai to hide?

How long will this trial continue? One of the reasons corruption remains high in Nigeria is because cases like this take too long to conclude. When trials drag on for years, it sends a message that there are no real consequences.
Some public office holders take advantage of the slow legal process, filing endless appeals, using technicalities, and relying on delays, knowing that the longer a case lasts, the more likely people will forget or lose interest.
Justice delayed only encourages more corruption. If we truly want to fight corruption, cases must be handled faster and more decisively.
The case is in the UK. Not in Nigeria where everything goes. She is not in detention. This news is another diversion for Nigerians to focus on what is really going on in Nigeria
Politics › Re: Central Bank Stopped Naira From Appreciating To ₦1000/$ – Shetttima by erico2k2(m): 9:21pm On Feb 25
Vision101:
It makes economic sense. A good currency is not supposed to have high oscillation. There should be stability. Movements within a range is acceptable but outside it unacceptable. For example exporters have done their planning with a range of exchange in mind. If there is sudden appreciation the importers might cancel their orders.

All budgets in Nigeria are in naira. There are benchmark exchange rates used. Sudden appreciation will throw them off balance.

We keep telling people that exchange rate management is not like they tell us to bring it down to #500 to $1. The good thing is that there is evidence of availability of dollar. If there is any event that will trigger high rates then CBN will pump in dollar to moderate it. This is managed floatation.

The Nigerian economy is on the upward swing. I hope that politics will not waste all our sacrifices.
you and your likes are the kind of people this Duuumb post is meant for, people who swallow everything both line and sinker, just imagine
