CamusMidas: Yea, I believe it is better we dismiss it. You are having your conversation in real time by just doing a lazy Google search and picking the first article that is in line with your biases.
India went from 200 million active users to a mere 20 million, is that normal? Show me an article that shows that those people could access it by just using VPN. And you went ahead to mention Thailand, what's my business with Thailand.
The discussion is simple, VPN is not some almighty saviour to the citizens of any country that really want to ban an app. 90% reduction is no joke.
Why do you think everybody is speaking up if VPN is all. the main VPNs are not free, the free ones are not all that,Like I said b4 I don't think you know how powerful VPNs are, these are what hackers use hene they don't get traced! |

I gave you a case study with India that COMPLETELY ban Tiktok, instead of you to do some research and understand how that was even possible, you are busy mentioning China. who told you people in I India don't access tiktok? there are millions of views from India wen it comes to tictok Image result for numbers of tiktok users in india 2021 20 million TikTok has done particularly well with growing its Asian followers. The app is downloaded more than 10 million times by the people in Thailand alone. And in India, there are now more than 20 million active users of the app.16 Feb 2021 |

This companies are registered under the government, if FG decides to ban nairaland they simply instructe 'this providers' to flag your ip whenever you try to log on nairaland and block you from doing so. Agbegbaorogboye: With BDCs, what we should have is an open market where BDCs source for the hard currencies themselves and sell at a profitable rate. But what happens is totally anomalous. BDCs get dollars at a fixed rate from CBN and sell at any rate they feel like. Do you know you until recently, an individual can't get dollars directly from banks while BDCs can? As at 2015, Buhari banned sale of dollars to a large contingent of people including students!! Yet BDCs were getting dollars at 199 and selling at whatever price they felt. This is the roundtripping that SLS was talking about which drew the ire of the govt. A lot of people connected to govt made mad money from that scheme then. It's a major reason the naira was on a free fall during the first three years of this govt. with ur statement, now explain why the Naira is N703 to point this morning |

WriterNig: Following the confirmation of his summer exit, it was revealed that Aguero had bought watches worth over £90,000 made by either Tag Heuer or Hublot for every single member of City's staff, as a token of his gratitude.
All of the watches were engraved with the words “Gracias! Kun Aguero.”
He also raffled off his Range Rover Evoque, which cost in the region of £56,000 (N29 million).
The lucky raffle winner was one of City's kit men, which Aguero was said to be delighted with.
In the video Aguero hands over the keys to his Range Rover while the car is parked up and ready to be whisked away.
The kit man was clearly overwhelmed by the gesture and gave Aguero a kiss on the cheek before joining him in a warm embrace.
It's a thoroughly heart-warming moment that's sure to hit you right in the feels.

Chukwute: Offshore Worker Returns To Find Cucumber In Girlfriend’s Cupboard, Landlady Post Video On Social Media
A Nigerian offshore worker returned to find a huge cucumber hidden in his girlfriend’s cupboard after spending two weeks at work.
The landlady of the apartment that the lovers live in made good her threat by sharing the video of the incident on social media.
According to the distraught boyfriend, he came back from work to discover the huge cucumber wrapped inside a cond*m.
He told the landlady that he had caught the lady with a vibrator before but she denied doing anything with it.
He wondered if that was how she wants to be satisfying herself while always complaining that he does not.
She kept insisting that she doesn’t use the cucumber for anything despite the glaring evidence of cond*m on it.

RalphJean: I too have the exact same opinion. And that is the reason why ( as a law abiding citizen), i formally notified the authorities that I will not pay. And the authorities issued me an exempt.
Bottom line: If you are watching, but not paying. And your ‘solution’ is to slam the door on the faces of the enforcement agents, you are a criminal.

justwise: I have problem with tv license and I don’t think one should pay it if you don’t watch BBC programs.
BBC should go commercial to generate revenue just as other channels.
I will not pay for something I don’t use, if I have a skybox and I pay my monthly subscription why should I also pay BBC because I watch sky programs?
Do not allow them into your house simple !
Their warning letters mean nothing, they end up in bin. I have this Opinion, to, why should we pay TV licence when they are craaaap. They should competit like every other Tv stations out there. |

RalphJean: If they turn out to be licensing officers, I will let them in and offer them a cuppa. It’s one of three things:
1. I have up to date TV licence payment Or 2. I have a valid, and legal TV licence exemption Or 3. I am watching live TV without paying. Which is illegal.
Those are the only 3 ‘valid’ options.
Justwise: I will advice that you be consistent. Anytime someone on the student thread asks question, or suggests to want to cheat the system (albeit stylishly), you stick to the rules, and sometimes even clamp down on them. Which I think is the right thing to do.
But here you are, preaching door closing and refusing entry when you could use that energy to encourage members here to either pay the licence fee, or apply for an exemption.
#Consistency If you are not the Police, you are not entering my House ID or no ID. |
