JAMO84: For some Nigeria Christians who like to believe that terrorists are working for Islam. Imagine RCCG members going to surround a living faith congregation on a Sunday while service is holding, killing everyone in the church. Would you consider Rccg as part of your religion again?
Any terrorist who goes about killing people, Muslim or not, we curse them. Allah cursed them. They are not part of us and they will never be.
Alhamdulillah. Thousands of Muslim youths have taken up arms against those miserable terrorists in Borno, Katsina, Zamfara....Muslims in Nigeria don't just condemn terrorists, we fight them with our lives. The last part of your post should continue. I was old enough to remember the Christmas day blow out in the North how some miscreant thought it was done in the name of religion, until the shyte came home to roast. StillDtruth: From your tone, it was clear that you were saying that everyone should brainlessly follow the manufacturer's specifications simply because the manufacturer said so.
Whereas, every vehicle which has come to Nigeria always developed a problem a few months after it has started running in Nigerian roads as lots of people have experienced when they travelled with their new vehicles.
And funny how the manufacturers solution does not work eg the over heating issue which many new car owners always experience after the whatever fails and bypass is the Nigerian brilliant solution which people have gone on for years enjoying their vehicles and never experiencing the overheating issue.
I feel you under estimate our Nigerian automobile products as you hang on to oyibo superiority. And that is what colonialism means for our automobile boys and products are actually doing a good job. I do not under estimate Nigerians as mechanics, however they know the right thing but the vast majority chose do work with what they have. However the few who do and know the right way are deemed too expensive. How many of you will take their cars to radautoworks on here or top cars in PH. You are here talking about cars and you know next to nothing about cars, all your utterance are that from a palm wine bar.I have gone fru your post or created thread by you all got to do with religion, you do not have on thread on the Auto section but here you are embarrassing yourself. You who do not even know the year your car was manufactured or your Engine capacity all of a sudden you speak for all Nigerians. You are here talking about Overheating, I suspect you are calling 2015 car brand new in Nigeria , that is 10 years OLD. And Nigerians magic the odometer. Let me tell you, vast majority of the newer cars have Electronic thermostats, so tell me how are you going to bypass that Bro if ur degree or interest is in Religion stick to it, don't delve into Engineering and you know next to nothing about. |

It's obvious that you are not a Nigerian and if you were, you have been colonized AHah this is funny, dont you know,60% of cars sold in Nigeria are insurance write offs? let me make it easy for you, any car with a structurer damage is a write off, they sell them to Africans in good faith as for parts but of cos we fix them and resell them. A car with damage to any of the chassis part is a write off.Why do you think people advocate for VIN check go to the copart website or iaaa website and see what's on auction |
Car Talk › Re: Is It Advisable To Mix A Coolant With Water Before Putting It Into A Car? by erico2k2(m): 3:26pm On Mar 23, 2025 |
fineboynl: i have tested them both on leaking radiator that was causing overheating. Water boils and expands real fast. But coolant boils less and take longer time.
Once a small amount of water leak from radiator the vacuum creates an explosion pressure as the water boils.
Despite the fact we might have inferior coolant in Nigeria. The coolant is still by far better than water. I think you miss understood what the coolant is. Ready mix coolant is 50/50.If you buy a concentrated one then you have to mix it with water 50/50.The cooling system is a vacuum. When the coolant expand it is meant to go to the expansion tank aka reservoir. The 2 basic functions of coolant mix is reduce boiling point and anti rust properties. Hats if you got an original one. I bought 25ltrs of concentrated one from London and shipped it back to PH, that's what we use for all our cars. |

If Nigerians were to go by manufacturer specification many vehicles would not be on the road. So this is just you showing that you are still suffering the effects of colonialism. There loads of people here who I have also met i n person who go by manufacturers specification, but ofcos if your car is 21 years Old I'm sure them lot do not give a toss. How does my statement translate into colonialism of did you just hear about that English 1st time? Instead of you throwing ur dummy otta the prawn improvement your arguments. make sense |

franksam209: Coolant or water anyone you choose to use are all the same,, it doesn't reduce heat or do anything special.. The only thing coolant does is to prevent internal rust like radiator, water pump and hose plugs down to sensors connected to water channels, it prevents them from rusting and makes them last longer You my friend is wrong, it does reduce the rate at which the liquid increase or decrease. |
Car Talk › Re: Is It Advisable To Mix A Coolant With Water Before Putting It Into A Car? by erico2k2(m): 12:32pm On Mar 23, 2025 |
fineboynl: We don't have antifreeze coolant in Nigeria. And besides that one is expensive.
Just buy the anti rust to prolonged your radiator life and engine. Anti freeze, reduces the boiling point of water bross.SO your Engine wont lose coolant plus if you have one of them heat exchange for your gear box like mine does, the over heat might burn it then water will mix with your gear oil then problem go start. |

Babatundehy: Those claiming to know more than the manufacturer are clearly stupid, it is like arguing about the order of alphabets. I am going to assume you were handed 20W-50 engine oil when you went to a store or a mechanic and said you want to change your car engine oil, by my two big balls, many oil sellers at 'garages' and even road side mechanics will do the same, the last time i was at Ilesha garage in Akure to change my handbrake lining (a family member keeps leaving it on while driving), sitting at the parts seller's shop, about three people came to ask for oil to service their car, they were all handed 20w-50, they paid and left. Oh well, this is how it is with many people, they don't have the knowledge about oils, check your engine cap and have a look at the oil viscosity written on it by your manufacturer, that's what you should use whether you live in Antarctica or Death valley, USA, now you might change to the manufacturer's oil grade and notice your car smoking shortly after or even immediately, if this is the case then you must fall back to your 20W-50, this is because the engine is high mileage and or has been abused for quite a long time (with very thick 20W-50). Some change back to the manufacturer's recommended grade and vehicle doesn't smoke or starts making weird sounds, I'll advise you don't fall back anyways, car is old (16 years) and you have abused it for two years, keep it that way so you don't draw much nearer the consequences of using very thick oils over the years. It is pathetic. |

RichIgboBoy: una don use Confusion finish person. Lol I’ve been using 20w50 in my Camry 09 bought 2 years ago. I’m about to service the car and I’m considering 5w30 semi synthetic. What’s your take? Although with 20w50 car runs fine and no check engine light, still bring out little water from the tail pipe sometimes in the morning. The wear and tear of Engines and the change of sounds is hard to detect cos it occurs daily and you wont know when the engine changes sound. I experienced this with the car I bought for my Dad. |

I noticed a wobble on the leg from the front passenger side. This happens mostly when I have accelerated now cruising (coming downhill) without matching on accelerator. So when I want to accelerate again I feel those damn wobble otherwise car accelerate just fine.
I have change the shafts (first I changed the outer ones of both legs) then when it continued I went to change the inner shaft cup too. But I still feel same thing.
I called a second mechanic I trust to drive and feel but he said car is fine and accelerate fine and that he didn’t notice of feel anything.
But when I drive I feel it and it even makes a wobbly sound too.
I have done wheel balancing and alignment too.
Don’t know what else to do. Pls my experience engineers help me. What could be wrong? Do this simple thing Jack each wheel up and check that by wiggling them at 3 o clock and 6 o clock, If you are confused take ur tyre look at it as a wall clock put both hands on it in position of 3 and 9 o clock wiggle it then do 12 o clock and 6 o clock wigle see if there is a play. |
