Laolu Martins, a co-founder of Bukka Hut, the leading fast-food chain in Nigeria, has reportedly committed suicide.

In a statement cited by Newsrand, the Bukka Hut boss, who served in the financial sector with over 21 years of experience in investment banking, corporate banking, stockbroking, asset management, and pension fund management, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

“We hereby solicit the support and understanding of everyone as the family grieves the loss of our beloved Laolu in our privacy.

“Our kind request is that you support the family – wife, children, aged mother and father and his siblings with your prayers at this difficult time.

“Further announcements will be made by the family,” a statement from the deceased’s family, read.

I have come across so many sisters and I have tried to interview them about how they take care of their private parts, many don't get that a woman is supposed to take care of her private part always, at least two times every day, washing it and cleaning out everything that will cause bad odour coming out from Inbetween their legs.

I remember. If you also read my position in this case, you'd understand where I was coming from. Before the Muslims-Muslim ticket came to the fore, babachir lawal had thought he'd be Tinubu's running mate, dogara too. As a matter of fact, that's the reason dogara listened to tinubu and remained in the apc. After the Muslim-Muslim ticket came up, the duos protested against it and said its unfair to the Christian community In the north. Then after seeing that the Tinubu wasn't going to reconsider his decision, they were thinking of leaving the apc which a normal person would do.

Are you aware that Boss Mustapha, the SGF is also leaving the apc on on same account of the Muslim-Muslim arrangement? Please read today's news. He went and met with Atiku yesterday. Its in the news. Are we also going to say Mustapha is working for the pdp? Politics is all about interest...a common interest for that matter. They felt cheated, they're loyal members of the APC until now.

Likewise, Lalong is threatening to drop his position right now due to some issues brewing in the Tinubu's camp and if lalong leaves the apc tomorrow which is likely from all indications, would we also say he's working for the pdp? No! Anyone can leave a party if the person feels cheated. People with disgruntled feelings always have reasons for leaving a party or group which they've worked hard for.

You forgot one key thing, that is why you made this point. Read the story again. The COURT permitted that, that portion be destroyed just like the court can permit auctioning if the product is autionable. You were not there to hear arguments made before this took place. Again, don't compare cocaine with bags of rice, turkey, cars etc. This is a highly dangerous consignment that you cannot trust anyone with.

A federal high court order was obtained for partial destruction I know. That's not supposed to be. You and I know the manner at which politicians seek court orders in this country to have their way. The judicial system needs to be sanitized but we will get there.

In my conclusion, it's a very wrong move. The criminals needed to be arraigned first so, why act in a hurry for destruction of illegal drugs? Will the drugs run away from the siege of armed personnel that are supposed to guard the site till the end of the case? In the case of auctioning you cited, the court must have ended the case and declared judgement before auctioning, not before arraignment. Have the arrested ikorodu criminals been tried? No. Has the court ruled in their case? No! Why rush to burn exhibits? Auctioning can only take place after the case on the subject matter had been concluded, not even before the arraignment or during course proceedings.

There are powerful politicians behind this ikorodu mess no doubt and that's the reason for the hasty destruction and running to court to obtain an order. I don't know why criminal justice in Nigeria is always tackled this way, especially when some big shuts are involved. There are thousands of poor Nigerians in prison and awaiting trials for decades. Some of them are even innocent but because they're nobody, they keep them in prison perpetually.

I hope this case is critically handled and justice is done. I see a foulplay in the whole arrangement.

You don't destroy an exhibit before arraignment, even if it occupies a warehouse, it doesn't matter. You keep it with full security guard day and night until the conclusive end. Video evidence and samples taken can be manipulated. Whenever customs confiscate goods, they don't burn them rather, they take them to their warehouses. Go to Ikeja and see impounded truck loads of contraband. After the court ruling, they now burn them openly or sell them off to general public in line with court judgement.
