Viraltrends123:You're so incoherent. I told you I voted Buhari. I knew he possessed that waec result and was authentic. So, are you haply now? By the way, who committed the certificate scandal here? Which court says so? Did UNN deny issuing the certificate? Keep chasing shadows ![]() |
The Lagos Division of the Federal High Court on Friday adjourned till September 28 to hear a motion for an injunction seeking to stop the Labour Party (LP), its candidates, and supporters from conducting the “#Obidatti23 Forward Ever Rally” on 1st October or any other date in Lagos. Justice Daniel Osiagor fixed the date after taking arguments from the parties on the mode of service of court processes, among others. In the suit, 10 plaintiffs, including nine lawyers, are asking the court to, among others, restrain the LP; its presidential candidate, Peter Obi; his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed; one Julius Abure; and their loyalists from holding the rally. The plaintiffs include Adedotun Ajulo, Salamatu Lewi, Hakeem Ijaduola, Ogunbona Akinpelu, Owolabi Oluwasegun, Mogbojuri Kayode, Wuyep Mantim Nadom, Dimimu Mabel, Kolawole Salami, and Wale Lawrence. The 1st to 10th defendants in the suit marked FHC/L/CS/1729/2022 are Mr Obi, LP, Mr Baba-Ahmed, Mr Abure, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Commissioner of Police (Lagos State Command), Director-General (Department of State Services), Lekki Concession Company (LCC) Limited, Attorney-General of Lagos State, and The Governor of Lagos State. When the matter first came up on 15 September, Mr Osiagor directed the plaintiffs to put all the defendants on notice and adjourned the hearing of the substantive motion till 23rd September. At the commencement of proceedings on Friday, Romeo Ese-Michael and Kayode Mogbojuri appeared for the plaintiffs. The first to fourth respondents were represented by a team led by Daniel Ibeagu whilst the eighth, ninth and 10th defendants were represented by Jonathan Ogunsanya. Counsel to the first and third defendants objected to the mode of service but Justice Osiagor ordered they should be served in court. The judge admonished parties to abridge time as the matter is of importance, noting that the motion on notice must be heard and determined before 1st October. He further urged parties to avoid technicalities meant to frustrate such a sensitive matter and adjourned till 28 September for the hearing of the motion for an injunction. The plaintiffs, in the suit marked FHC/L/CS/1729/2022, filed an ex parte motion through their counsel Dada Awosika. They argued that a repeat or celebration of the “infamous” EndSARS protest of 2020 under the political guise of “#Obidatti23 Forward Ever Rally” will cause a breakdown of peace and will result in post-traumatic stress disorder for them and the public. They asked the court for four reliefs. “An order of interim injunction restraining the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th defendants; their associates and loyalists from conducting the scheduled END SARS Rally tagged as the “#Obidatti23 Forward Ever Rally on the 1st of October, 2020 or any other subsequent date, at the Lekki Toll Gate until the hearing and determination of the Motion-On-Notice dated September 12, 2022. “An order of interim injunction restraining the 1st 2nd, 3rd and 4th defendants and their loyalists from further planning and promoting the Scheduled END SARS Rally tagged as the “#Obidatti23 Forward Ever Rally”… “An order of interim injunction restraining the 5th 6th, 7th Defendants from allowing or granting permissions to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Defendants, their agents and the organizers of “#Obidatti23 Forward Ever Rally” at the behest of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Defendants from carrying out the said anniversary on the 1st of October, 2022 and any other subsequent date https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/555650-court-adjourns-suit-to-stop-peter-obi-rally-in-lagos.html |
Make this guy no die for their custody oo |
SadiqBabaSani:Na wah oo. Secondus would be laughing by now at his enemy lol. This generation doesn't know much about Ayu. No be today. We shall retire all these old corrupt folks perpetually next year. |
See the party wey wan take Nigeria back? .Obi would just be observing and smiling seeing this. The only stable and serious-minded party today is Labour party. Check it |
Viraltrends123:It's not fair to generalise people's opinions anytime such an issue as this comes up. Just so you know, I voted buhari in 2015 and supported him in my area. I remain a fan of Buhari till tomorrow. I didn't vote buhari in 2015 because he was in the apc or because tinubu sponsored him. I voted him based on his antecedents. Unfortunately, baba couldn't do much cos of his health and old age. Also, civilian regime is different from the military regime in which you can take any decision as a leader and get away with it. National assembly handicapped him in a lot of decisions. I may not like some of his policies but he's done his bits. Emilokan can't even do half. Kiishe t'epe. That's why he won't get there . Obi lokan |
AdamuKD:Collect the money, vote your conscience like osun people did. After all, na your money wey dem steal |
Nobody is disputing that. Collect the money and do the osun justice. It's that simple |

DeOTR:So you can now get both transcripts and certificate on graduation? Amazing! Things are changing really. By the way, I didn't mean unilorin merged sets for convocation. I was making instances, depending on institution and their policies. Schools do that. Same applies to issuance of statement of results and certificates. In some schools, when you're graduating, you are issued a statement of result. On convocation day, you pick your certificate and leave. Nowadays, a lot has changed. When I was admitted, I presented my waec statement of result and used same for my registration. It was bearing the name of my school on my school's letterhead. Now, no university would admit you with that. You must present a generatd result from waec portal for before being admitted. You cannot blame Obi for not obtaining his cerficate, even 100 years after graduation if it's not necessary or compulsory. If inec made it a compulsion, he'd have obtained a certificate and submitted. Maybe INEC would make it mandatory in future elections, I wouldn't know. Like i said, things are changing .life is dynamic. When I wrote my waec and GCE, my age wasn't there when result came out but today, you see their age showing on it, even passport photo. We never had such in my time. Also, waec certificate would take up to 3-4 years to be released in those days. But now, certificate is out 6 months after waec result is released. I remember when I was being screened. I had to go to waec office to obtain my certificate then and it was because the school asked for it as one of the mandatory requirements for screening. In same vein, had inec seen it as mandatory, Peter Obi I know would have submitted a certificate so, you cannot blame him. INEC didn't say it's mandatory. From what I learnt, you could even submit a document to inec and still approach them that you're withdrawing it from your file, no wahala at all. Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State submitted OAU engineering result to inec when vying for a senatorial position but when he was contesting for governorship post, he withdrew it and submitted only waec. Inec allowed him. All these fuss about Obi's degree result should rest jare. Anyone who's in doubt of it's veracity should simply approach UNN. It's that simple. |
Safyqueen:Are you from the north? If no is the answer, then fear northern elites. PDP zoned ticket to the south, not north. That statement on winning election isn't tenable. Is Jonathan not from a minority south? Did he not defeat buhari? Why not support wike to win? Why did tambuwal betray him? . They don't care who wins, so far power is retained in the north . See skekarau. I wish tinubu good luck |
They never wanted to. Tinubu played a smart one on them. Lawan was their preferred candidate. In 2015, I was like...I hope the awo's treatment wouldn't be revisited on this man carrying buhari upandan. To anyone especially southerners reading this comment, the northern elites never wanted power to leave them. They also dont want to give their youths a chance. In 1999, they were left with no option than hand over power to a southerner, given what happened to MKO whom we massively voted. Before I continue, no region or religion had loved anyone else in this country the way they loved MKO. He was a true wazobian who had made people billionaores. He needn't know you, your tribe or religion before lifting you. See igbos crying like babies at his gravesite, hausas and yorubas weren't left out. See accolades, eulogies, even whites flew to Nigeria to pay their last respect. Do we have such a leader in Nigeria today? I doubt. People like MKO would only surface once in a lifetime. Obj came and began to change a lot of things . Before we knew it, gboom! Political sharia came. Had obj not run to the south in 2003, he'd have lost a comeback. Despite all tinubu did to install buhari, they still wanted to betray him. Anyone thinking muslim-muslim ticket was Tinubu's idea should have a rethink. He was left with no option than consider this arrangement. They prefer a northern muslim to peer up with a southern Christian instead. Awolowo was more popular than tinubu in the north during his time. They gave baba false hope laslas. At the eleventh hour, they brought a college teacher without political experience from nowhere and voted him instead. Wike supported tambuwal in 2019 with his all. This time the same man refused to reciprocate. Instead, he stepped down for a fellow northerner in the name of winning elections. Its tinubu I'm just pitying right now cos apc is losing members massively in the north today and it was a deliberate move to retain power. Monkey no fine, but im mama like am. That's Atiku's case. The onus is on us to sit ourselves down and dissect the matter now. Who's more popular nationwide today among them from the south? Let's support him. Worst case, the results and voting pattern of 2011 will resurface next year. God bless Nigeria. |
You're lucky hiv no dey that time. You for don know what's up by now. Now is best time to turn to God. If not because of his flirting lifestyle, this man would have been so great cos he had all it takes. His dad was a great man. Flee love of the flesh and it shall be well with you. |
Norwichsailor:There's no need to argue or rain insults. I've said it before and am saying it again. Buhari would be the only president apc would produce. The reason he won so massively in the north and our region was because of the natural love they had for him, not because he's in the apc. I also voted him in 2015. They've always voted him that way, even when in the opposition. Answer me, does tinubu command so much respect among them in the north today? When did you see northern clerics mock buhari like they're doing tinubu now? The wave of defection of apc members to the pdp recently is worrisome. Pa awo was even far more popular and respected in the north in his generation. At the eleventh hour, they still betrayed him and voted a college teacher whom they brought from no where instead. I dwell in realities guy. This isn't about raining insults. This is the same region tinubu was banking on oo.. We shall see ok? |
Intelligence. We're ready! |
Originalwafi:Yes, we need to support Obi. Even my people should do the same and shun ethnic politics. South would be eroded in 2023 if care isn't taken. Obi is far more popular than atiku and Tinubu in Nigeria today. Its a hard fact. Money politics is fading rapidly |
Somebody should tell Wike that, even if he had secured the ticket, north wouldn't still vote him. The earlier he supports obi the better. I don't see the north voting Tinubu also. Their antecedents have shown. Their antecedents have shown. Obasanjo would have lost the 2nd term, had he neglected south as he did in 1999. Obi is more popular in the north than tinubu with the combination of baba ahmed. I have my reasons for supporting him. Worst case, voting results would end up like that of 2011. They'd still protest, people should please note. The core north's elites are the Nigeria's problems. Their youths are becoming emancipated gradually. |
JASONjnr:We never had a political party guy. We only had a group of selfish leaders who jump parties like carnival. Labour party will certainly bring about truly democratic parties in Nigeria where nobody would ask or challenge your ethnicity or religion, where competence will take precedence |
Good. I'm in support of this move. Otherwise Emilokan and his urchins would run it down, the same way the ran down the airline he floated a few years ago. They're still owing me a return ticket from Abuja to lagos till date. The flight couldn't come back to abuja that evening to pick passengers. They refused to check us in, in the midst of protests, not knowing the flight had been grounded. I had to take a taxi back to abuja that evening, paid for a hotel, booked another flight. It was so stressful for me. One thing many don't know is, there's no emotion in business. If you don't run it well, you fail. Ethiopian Airlines aren't run by Ethiopians. Its run by successful aviation investors from the across the globe. People should forget the word Ethiopian cos its operations are not African in nature |
DeOTR:Convocation doesn't happen immediately. On convocation, yes, you obtain your certificate, sealed. They could merge 2 to 3 sets together, depending on school's system. You pay for the certificate as well. But before graduation, you are issued a statement of result. It's valid forever. I graduated from Ilorin early 2000s and I've never been there to process my certificate till date. Only a few of my course mates who were around attended the convocation. All places where I had worked, including my post graduate degrees, home and abroad, na my statement of result I present with my Transcript. Certificate is ceremonial. Obi isn't compelled to obtain one. The statement suffices and the onus is on the challenger to approach UNN, same way a petitioner went to UI in Obaseki's case. It's that simple. Obaseki didn't even listen to them. He left them ranting on the social media. The same people even sued UI sef, lol. |
ardave2k13:Lol. You're the one who needs to seek information because what the apc claimed they achieved couldn't be verified. Are you talking of biased funding of agriculture by the cbn mainly up north? I'm glad you acknowledged graft in your post, you must be one of the honest apc supporters. What's the duty of the cbn in direct involvement in agricultural funding? Who and who benefited from this largesse? What happened to bank of agric? This had been faulted by the majority of forward-thinking Nigerians, including my humble self. Go to my state. Travel along ibeju-lekki down to epe and see alluvial soil suitable for rice growing. Did the fed govt look in this direction? Lagos land is vast enough to grow rice for our consumption in the state. Have you been to the south-south states? Bayelsa soil is rich in rice growing. Did the federal govt look in that direction? They only focused on the arid north. Its fine though. The game changer is coming. I can't wait. Obi is coming. The rice Mills in lagos, how many tons of rice had it processed? It can only be useful in future and that's if the situation changes. You cited reduction of forex on rice importation abi? What was the dollar rate before Borders were shut and now? Was the motive productive? I leave you to sincerely answer this, in view of the current exhange rate. If this was the motive for border closure, the apc had failed even woefully. You see, you cannot give what you don't have. You don't shut borders when you don't have alternatives in place. No forward-thinking leader does that, my guy. They know what they're doing shaa. Where is the politicised lake rice today? Is it still in the market ? Lol. How much was rice before border was closed and now? Orę, we're not ready yet. Nobody would tell us before we know what's up. God bless Nigeria |
The last paragraph got me. How can a president of a developing country close a border for 2 good years without having alternative arrangements in place? You said you're banning importation of rice but you didn't empower local farmers with soft loans, training, improved yields of rice, sensitising Nigerian youths on the modern production of rice nationwide, sending a delegate to Thailand to find out how they're doing it successfully, same was Indonesia came to Nigeria during Obasanjo's military government making Indonesia the largest exporters of palm oil in the world today, doing a research nationwide on the best soils for rice glowing and regions, same way you spent billions on oil exploration in Chad basin, etc? With all these done, Nigeria would have been exporting rice today. That 100bn naira stolen by the accountant-general would have been enough for all these. APC my foot. Never again! |
Demolakay:Demo, why are you bothering yourself over these illiterates? They know what to do and where to go to verify Obi's result. They don't even know the difference between a statement of result which isn't sealed and a certificate which usually carries a seal. Buhari was right by calling them names. Waa gbayi jare. Obidient for life. |
DeOTR:Sorry i was actually referring to a statement of result. There's a clear difference between a statement of result and a certificate Most of those displaying Obi's statement of result submitted to Inec and calling it cerficate are olodos. And you know nowadays, things can be doctored and they would still look original on social media by some unscrupulous elements, just to cause a needless distraction. Even if it was a certificate which i doubt, INEC must endorse it as a sign of acceptance and confirmation of receipt. I've been seeing versions of his result as posted here. Does waec statement of result carry any seal? Its waec certificate that is sealed. In same way, its a certificate that carries a seal, not statement of result as presented by Obi. Most Nigerians don't go back to their alma mater for a certificate.. what I had was a statement of result, not a sealed certificate cos i dont have any need for it. If i need one, I'd go to Ilorin, apply and make necessary payment before collection. I can even apply online now. Unlike in those days when you'd go to Ilorin, pay at a bank at post office, then take teller back to school and wait. Statement of result which carries, name, degree, matric number, grade, etc is what we mostly use, even when seeking admission or employment either home or abroad. Every certificate carries a seal, not statement of results. What Obi submitted was a statement of results which olodos here misconstrued for a certificate. Buhari that called them lazy is right . Nowadays, its impossible to present fake result to inec or any body for whatever reason. Right on your computer, you can check it's veracity. Those wasting their time on Obi know where to go. Not on social media to catch cruise. Obi had been vying for political offices in the past and submitted same. They started from...he only had GCE, from there to, 3rd Class and his result wasn't endorsed by inec, now to, his statement of result wasn't sealed...laughable. |
Ekealterego:But same was aired on Russia TV channel today. Don't tell me you aren't aware |
stella7702:Pls sensitize our youths about the dreaded HIV infection instead. Hiv is back with full force. Your post encourages the spread. Please decist. Thank you |
Nice move. All their children are schooling abroad. Why would they care? |
WithFact:Who said it's oluwole, UNN that issued it or INEC? Please tell me something ![]() |
richie240:Can't you comment without insult?Grow up Those in doubt of Buhari's waec were advised to contact waec or inec as well . Fyi, Buhari used to be one of my favs. I voted him in 2015 until I realised he's not same buhari I knew in the 80s. He's dropped acrions |
SecretAgent770:This guy again spewing his usual trash from the Diaspora. Someome should tell him.Obi is a graduate from a university. He also graduated with a good degree. He said obi can't be employed by Zenith Bank...lol. someone should tell Reno Obi owns Fidelity Bank, one of the banks doing well in Nigeria today, in which he's employed over 5k staff across ethnic and religious lines, with good pay. He's the Highest employer among the candidates. Sadly, it's only in Nigeria we worship certificate. Despite this, Obi met the minimum requirement so, what's Reno's headache? Attention seeker |
