True. But by their lifestyle and look, you can identify a yahoo boy. I know of a guy who works part time for a geomatic company in the USA online. He had gone twice for their in-person meetings...one in South Africa and the other in LA...he's just 26 years old and single. He owns a house already in Lagos. He also drives a good car but not the lavish type. He keeps normal hair style. You can't call such a young man a Yahoo boy.

In a free and fair election with the electronic voting, 70% of the serving politicians up to the national assembly won't return in 2023...both pdp and apc alike. All we will see would be mixture of all parties representing us because people won't decide who serve or represent them across the party lines anymore but based on merit.

Elrufai would want to welcome electronic voting now because his tenure is ending soon. He's got nothing to lose, should the opposition grab kaduna in 2023. Our politicians are so selfish

I don't know why we're so ignorant in this country , all in the name of one religion. Tobacco which is being massively smoked amongst them up north need to be banned instead because it kills. Yaradua could have been alive today, had he stopped the habit early enough .

my child isn't 18 yet. If my child has any reason to smoke it as prescribed by doctor maybe to cure one ailment or the other, it's ok. Once dosage is exceeded like codeine, then it becomes an abuse. Codeine for instance was good in the treatment of severe cough among others before people started abusing it and it was banned. If regulated, I'm in total support. Are you aware that some of the drugs you take contain cocaine substance? Yet people abuse cocaine...does that make it illegal if used in an appropriate way? For the umpteenth time, cannabis isn't only about smoking. It's got several medical benefits which can be applied in many ways.

It's not only by smoking it that makes it applicable in human lives. It's useful in so many amazing ways, medically. All the hair creams barbers use contain cannabis. Look at the dark particles inside...it's cannabis. It teats eczema like magic. If legalised and regulated, I'm in support. Whether it's even legalised or not, it doesn't stop people from abusing it, the number of consumers would only be reduced if regulated by NAFDAC and other relevant agencies

Yes, if legalised in Nigeria. It can be applied in many ways, not only by smoking it. Cannabis is good in the treatment of eczema. Most of the hair creams contain it. Check all the hair cream used in barbing salon, look inside and you'd see some dark particle inside. It's cannabis. It kills dandruff more than anything.

which point? Why not regulate usage instead? Out of Tobacco and cannabis, which kills faster? Cannabis has several medicinal values than Tobacco. Now that it's yet to be regulated, almost all the Nigerian police force, army, ministers, senators and millions in the society take cannabis...marwa could be taking it in his closet too, who knows? They are all advocates of do as I say, but not do as I do policies.

2 years ago, my cousin had the opportunity of accompanying his boss to teslim balogun stadium where his boss met with his protégé. He quickly wore his kits and joined the likes of former governor fashola on the pitch to play football. After they were done, he told me he saw fashola smoking igbo( cannabis) . As soon as he was done, he dashed into his vehicle and left.

Everything has been religionized by the north. Why not denounce tobacco which kills faster anything? Most of you guys are chimney when it comes to cigarette smoking.

Cannabis is medicinal, tobacco isn't. Why not regulate usage instead? Buba Marwa, you can't be there forever so, stop bragging. BRF was once caught by my cousin at teslim balogun stadium, smoking cannabis after a football match with his colleagues among whom was my cousins boss, whom he accompanied to the stadium that day. All of them, including our force and politicians smoke and abuse cannabis. I support its regulatory measures instead. They're all guilty of the offence. Maria too, Mr do as I say, could be smoking it secretly....who knows? Ban Tobacco smoking among you, which caused hundreds of thousands of death annually instead

The best practice is to fill the Blocks in the foundation with weak concrete (or normal concrete if you can afford it). The reason for filling blocks with concrete is obvious: To make the blocks stronger as if they are concrete blocks.
There is what is called EARTH PRESSURE acting on the blocks which makes the blockwork act as if they are Retaining Walls. So leaving them Hollow like that is not the best however since to avoid the cost of filling them with concrete, they just assign a labourer to block the holes before putting the chain beam to connect all the columns (pillars)

Then coming to the question of filling the blocks with laterite (filling sand), is not a common practice thought some people do it. It is not advisable to have earth on both sides of the block and also inside the blocks. The soil inside the holes of the blocks doesnt offer added strength like concrete will do, so it becomes an added load on the blocks. It is like a pregnant woman. The baby inside her is an added load. Whatever doesnt make you stronger makes you weaker. It's a universal principle.

I clap for you guy. This was all I did to both my house and hotels. Hotels are being visited by a large number of people and this goes on for years so, the structures must be strong enough from foundation to withstand pressures.

So sad, the posts read here so far suggest to me that we still have a long way to go in Nigeria. The majority of our youths know nothing and instead of learning from those who know, they attack and rubbish you with abusive words. I've stopped blaming government( both state and federal) from engaging Chinese, Arabs and Lebanese for construction of ordinary drainage a long time ago. The reason is obvious
