Good evening fam. Please, I am in need of some Euros in exchange for Naira. Anybody who has some for sale should contact me ASAP. Thanks! |
Hello house. Does anyone have some Euros for sale at an affordable rate? PM me please. Thanks in advance! |
originalwarriman:You don't necessarily have to start all over bro. Unless your first degree is absolutely irrelevant, then I see no reason why you can't get admitted into a Master's program on account of your grades... If you have considerable on-the-job experience, then you are good to go. It may be a bit difficult, but not impossible. |
Dear fellow Nairalanders, a brother is looking to relocate from Frankfurt Oder in Brandenburg to Bonn/Koln area. Please, I need assistance with accommodation around these areas and any information relating to this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a wonderful weekend you all. |
Please, do bro. I need it very badly. Thanks! ritzyvic1: |

@OnePunchMan, I beg to differ in part on your submission. I want to believe your submission was your own personal experience which could have been influenced by a number of factors. Personally, I think Goethe Institut in Lagos is doing a good job and the issue of teachers taking the private lesson thing more than even the general class is also an individual thing. For instance, I registered at Goethe last September and I did not spend more than roughly 6 weeks or so there before I returned to Germany. But believe me, I was able to learn a lot within that short period as I took my classes very seriously even though I could not finish a single level (A1). But on returning to Germany, I was able to communicate in my own little way at the Train station where I purchased a ticket to my final destination unlike before. Now, I registered with Volkschule, a language center here where they hardly speak English during classes but I still have reasons to go back to my A1.1 workbook from Goethe and of course, my notes as well, and this has really helped a lot. For me, I think the most important thing is picking as much words as possible such that when someone speaks to you, you would comprehend or when you see a sentence written in German, you can quickly identify what the sentence is all about as long as you can identify the meaning of up to 70% of the words then you can understand the context in which the words were constructed. Overall, I think its a matter of how serious one takes the language program in Nigeria. Admittedly, there are lots of factors that could slow down the level of assimilation, e.g: epileptic power supply and access to the Internet. For instance, one would need to practice what one was taught in class upon getting home and the PHCN people too will always want to prove they are reigning supreme in Nigeria. Unfettered access to the Internet too would help in learning new words and most importantly, how to correctly pronounce those words as a letter with two tiny dots (umlaut) on it would change the pronunciation entirely. To an extent, I partially agree with your submission because while I was still there at Goethe in Lagos, Frau Hullur, the Indian woman was very helpful and for a beginner, there is no way you can learn a language without the translation thereof in English until you become very conversant with those words over time such that when they are mentioned or spoken, you know exactly what it means in English language. On a lighter note, nobody on the streets would ask what certificate in German language that you possess, they would speak the language and its only when you appear to understand and speak it better that the person might be forced to inquire about your level of proficiency by way of the certificate you possess. This is just my personal opinion but I am also open to hearing other people's views on the subject. |
Hello house, I am in need of some Euros. Is there anyone in the house that has some for sale at a very reasonable rate? PM please! |
Hi everyone! Been a while I last checked what is really going on here. I wish all visa applicants good luck with their visa application at the German Embassy. I have over a thousand Euros for sale at a very reasonable rate. Whoever is interested should contact me ASAP so we may can business. |
Hello everybody, I have 700 EUR for exchange in Naira at an affordable rate which would be paid into my account in Nigeria. I would either transfer the money to an account here in Germany or help you pay whatever fees that needs to be paid here and provide you with proof and/or confirmation. Contact me if you are interested. |
Hello fellow Nairalanders. I am in dire need of 2,000 EUR in case any one of you intends to send money home. I will pay by bank transfer directly into your nominated bank account in Nigeria while you credit my account here in Germany. We were disappointed by Travelex at Murtala Mohammed Airport 2 days ago after waiting on the queue for almost 5 hours, only to be told that there was no more foreign exchange. I am available for serious business at a rate we both will agree on and I will initiate the transfer after we must have talked on the phone. I look forward to a serious business partner from this forum. |
ogagaejay:Hi bro! What course did you study at the undergrad and what course(s) are you applying for at the Masters level? Also, how many years work experience have you? Getting an admission is not only about grades but most importantly Grace. So if you can answer these questions, people here will be able to advise accordingly. |
BlessedSamson:You should expect a letter in the mail via courier within the next 2 weeks if not less. I had gone through the process before but came out successfully. Don't worry, the Lord is your strength. |
Hello house! Its been a while I last checked in here. Hope everything is still alive in here. Whats trending? |
Tinder:Bros abeg apply to schools of your choice, private ones inclusive. I got a straight admission with 4 years plus work experience with the same 3rd class you are idolizing and making it appear like Olumo rock. A good statement of purpose and reference letter from your employer to vouch for your practical on-the-job prowess would do. Just put God first and the rest will be history. Its by grace, not grades! |
Tinder:Who said so? You or God? How many years work experience have you? |
kciano:My brother. I don't understand if public opinion should be your yardstick for determining where to go for better education or your financial strength? Racism as it were is everywhere. Even in America, cops keep shooting at black lads indiscriminately and none of them has been indicted, let alone jailed. At worst, such an individual would be asked to go on leave without pay pending further investigations. When investigations want end and wetin dem go do the police officer, we never still know. Even here in Nigeria there is tribalism everywhere, that is as between fellow Nigerians, their only fault is as a result of where they came from. Now, you want a white man to treat you like a king in a foreign land? How possible is that? Even if it is not that pronounced, it will still be there but I want to believe that bigger cities with lots of foreigners would be more open and receptive at least when I was in Cape Town, South Africa some 3 years back, I applied for several jobs and I went for series of interviews, my only problem then was that nobody could employ me just because I visited there with a Medical visa and not a student visa but my nationality or my grades did not really make much difference as I was able to handle the hot seats during the interview with about 2-3 people interviewing me at a time asking me to describe parts of a legal document and I did my best but for my kind of visa. Moving forward, I want to believe that one should get even better opportunities such as that in Germany and other advanced economies if one has the right qualification and/or skills. We should all be thinking of learning their language so that we can get good jobs after graduation, that is, for those who would prefer to stay back to work. Nothing is wrong with learning it, at least for social and cultural integration so we can get along with our host communities just like we were taught during our service years. Do we all think it ends at NYSC? Absolutely not! Lets be more realistic and progressive here. I see a Nairaland where we come here to make all manner of grammatical blunders in German language and we correct ourselves thereon instead of re-echoing what those people who never visited Benin Republic would tell us once you hint them that you are headed for Germany. If its better here, then why waste this much money to travel and study leaving behind our families, friends and our state-of-the-art toys (Cars) only to go and be catching train, tram and what have you? Whatever is what doing is worth doing well abeg. Lets start speaking and typing german here abeg. Make we sef get Nigerian community for Germany with intellectuals at the helms of its affairs who are well versed in speaking, writing and understanding the language or those Nigerian ladies at the embassy who speak German like yoruba or igbo language get two heads? |
