Congratulations bro.

Where are those nay sayers?
tensazangetsu20:
Third day of work and it's still unbelievable to me. To be honest, my current job is something I have been chasing all the way from Nigeria. I got into Salesforce back in 2021 and have been trying to get a Salesforce job but it was so impossible in Nigeria. I just focused on my frontend I was doing then. At least I had a job and it paid really well at least by Nigerian standards.

I won't lie despite all my research about Chile I was so scared when I was coming here. Even my whole family thought I had gone loco. Only my uncle in Belgium supported me. His reason being a country with visa free travel to the US, Canada and Europe can never be a bad country. He sent me 2000 usd back then which was what I used to pay my rent for a year.

At this point, I am super contented with everything I have. A good job in a good company and I live in a very solid country. Chile is so amazing for me and I absolutely have no regrets that I made the move. I have been so exposed to so many opportunities here and I haven't even spent up to a year. I have interviewed with even the equivalent of the central bank of Chile whereas I don't even know if my own countrys central bank even recruits.

For anyone trying to relocate, I only have one piece of advice: be a man of value. Strive to create value. Research on what people want, try and learn them and try to use what you have learnt to build value. No country in the world is easy but some places are more difficult than others.

Romance / Re: She Hides Her Phone Password by Esiman(m): 7:24pm On Mar 27
100 percent.
pansophist:
If it swims like a duck, quacks like a duck, or looks like a duck, it is probably a duck.

If she hides her phone, changes her password, not responding to video calls, mostly male callers, etc, then it's a very bad sign. If words and actions are inconsistent, then you are mostly being played.

Just like night and day, you will always know those who are playing you if you observe diligently. Just as night has its features, players have theirs. By their fruit, you shall know them.

The irony of players is that with time, they will give you the hammer, nail, and cross you will crucify them with. You just have to play your cards well.

Just be patient. Being patient doesn't mean just waiting, it is about what you do while you wait. So for a start, refrain from investing heavily in the relationship, don't let out too many personal details of you, reduce your effort, and no introductions of her to others.

Because when a relationship breaks up, it's the one who invested the most gets hurt the most. You begin to do a ''profit and loss'' accounting, thinking how the money for bettering yourself went to her affairs. It will burn your soul. Avoid that pain, please.

You can always predict fairly accurately the end from the beginning. And with a beginning like this, if you bet on the fact that you are being played, you will most probably be right.

You're right. I'm still stuck with decision right now.
Hannania:
$400 shouldn't make you abort. What ever country you chose to go besides Austria or Germany, and Switzerland, you'll spend on tuition. So why abort because of $400?
Travel / Re: Can't Afford Study Route, Please Advise by Esiman(m): 12:53am On Mar 06
I would have loved to use Austria's study route as a stepping because of cost, but their new rules regarding legalization made me abort mission.
Hannania:
Japa version 2.0 is based on individuals. The slang basically means moving from less economical nation to the other. E.g Nigeria > Austria > Australia. Some persons might find the ebode they need in Austria. That's why I said it's relative. Try do v1.0 first grin
Travel / Re: Can't Afford Study Route, Please Advise by Esiman(m): 12:50am On Mar 06
You're right. I believe It's doable.
Hannania:
There are countless opportunities to Japa without using student route. Dig deeper, and you'd be amazed at the information out there. Language can be a barrier early on, but you can always do "Japa version 2.0" cheesy

Thank you my own boss. Your update is always up to date.
Hannania:
There's something called Ausbildung in Germany. Companies will train you for three year while paying you averagely €800 to €2500 depending on the company. That's enough for your living expenses monthly. When you're done, your chances of employment is almost 100%.

For requirements, you need B1 German, and for nursing it's B2. All you need to do is have the language certificate, apply, then get your visa.

Getting a visa in Nigeria is more than a year for that, and the companies will not wait. Here's my suggestion

Get residence permit from Benin republic, Senegal or Gambia. It has to stay for 6 months before you can apply for visa in those counties. From now till then, you can learn German to B1/B2 if you're serious.

When you get the Ausbildung offer, use the residence permit and you'll be in Germany. There's no need for proof of Funds because the offer meets that. Good luck

God bless you. Everyone needs help right now.
pansophist:
If there is one thing I'm proud of, it's the fact that I've taken at least 10 of my family members out of Nigeria.

This doesn't include strangers I don't know, for example the Finland thread on nairaland was opened by me far back in 2012, and hundreds have entered Europe through it.

I'm referring to my close relatives. There is no way I'll allow the problem of Nigeria to affect them. I may not be able to change that country, but I can change those closer to me.

Please if you are abroad and know the means to bring your family over please help them. Nigeria's problem right now is beyond the power of an individual. Everyone needs help

How fluent does one need to be in Finnish to access this?
respect076:

Try Finland you just have learn Finnish so as to be able to have access to their free education

But
Estonia is the best to stay between the two, because cost of leaving is cool.

Some of my friends that stays in Finland do travel by Boat just 2hour for shopping and go back to Finland because are extremely cheap

Almost everything is subsidies.

Best of luck

God has finally done it for me grin. 3 years worth of work came to fruition and I was able to japa to Chile tongue tongue tongue. Sharing some pics from my trip and my everyday life on this thread. This is for those who think that south america is hell. Theres a lot of amazing countries in the world. You need to research and figure out what works for you. My flight was from Lagos to doha to Brazil and then finally to Chile. I didn't really start taking any pics until I got into Chile. I am sure you can find thousands of pictures about Brazil, Qatar or Lagos online but hardly anyone has posted anything about Chile.

The first pic is me In the plane crossing the Andes mountains. The light in the distance is the city of santiago.

Second is the airport in concepcion.

Third is my Uber ride from the airport to my Airbnb

I have an email for each pen name or brand. You can include it if you want.

Good morning. I am wondering about something and would like self-publishers in the house to chip in.

Did you include your contact information in the books that have good results? Is it advisable to not include it?

I read that one can publish using a pen name and I was wondering how that would work.

Okay boss. thank you.
Emceecee:

I'm having the same problem, like penny said, perhaps it was reversed with no notification sent.

I complained to grey and they said the bank said the transaction failed and will be sending a manual reversal within 14 days.

But then, I saw that the payment for us arrived, 6 days after the maximum 5 days, without any notification, so now I don't know about the rest, cause I was expecting a reversal.

But Amazon told me that the money has been sent and may take additional time, but I can contact them after 5 days and they can trace the money.

My guess is the money is in transit.

Pennywise2:
who told you they must send notification? Do as told. Cos I sent money to the old account and it was reversed and I never knew. When I knew, I updated the account. Your choice though
Business / Re: Kdp. Kindle Amazon Books And Corona Virus Profits Method by Esiman(m): 6:58pm On Dec 12, 2022
KDP normally sends notification of failed payments. Besides the payment should have dropped before the day Grey said their old accounts stopped functioning.
Pennywise2:
any payment to the old account was reversed. Your money should be with kdp. Update your account at kdp and message them about not receiving last royalties
