Music/Radio / Re: Nigerian Songs You Can't Understand How They Became Hit Songs by Esinwaju: 8:27am On Nov 23, 2013
chucky234: 2baba?
Dont make me laugh jare, I can only pick Dare,Banky W,Timi Dokolo,Dagrin,Sunny Nneji, Mode9,Asa.
Few tracks from Flavour are also doing well especially Chinny and Ada.
Songs done by other Nigerian artists are all wack especially those recorded by Wizkid,Inyanya,Kcee,May D,Chidinma.
Chidinma was a class act at the MTN project fame and I thought she was going to be our next soul queen but she has since gone astray, Inyanya and Kcee are just plain annoying, listening to Kcee's Pullover is like committing suicide.
Yes 2baba. The only 'A-list' Nigerian artiste that makes a whole lotta sense with his songs. Listening to 2baba's album is like reading a newspaper. When you read a newspaper, you read something different everytime you flip pages. When you listen to 2baba's album you get to hear something different as the tracks change and that is what I call being an artiste i.e ability to be diverse in sound, style and subject matter and no mainstream act(except Asa and she is not even based in Nigeria) does this better than 2baba.

safarigirl: philosopher or not, he remains a regional star. So to say he was the best Naija artiste is an exaggeration since one had to understand Yoruba to some extent to like his music. He's like the Fuji guys, he may be good, but not up to 25% of Nigerians cared about him
Phyno...is he a regional star?

U guys re spiritually blind. Check de pic & u'll knw dat is about anti-christ. De white women re de saints while de blacl woman is de devil, ie de devil being worshiped by de world. Stop commenting on wot u don't knw pls. This is pure ILUMINATI
This one is still bound by the shackles of mental slavery. So if the artwork were to be the other way round I guess that would be a depiction of Christ huh? You deserve to be slapped!

Something that has to do with music. Good music. A PM would do..all I need is a go-ahead.

god_of_music: He's saying the truth! Imagine me the god_of_music i don't listen Nigerian RnB or should i say AfroBeat anymore instead i listen to AfroRapmusic, you know, they are the only guys who give me what i need even though they don't satisfy me sha.....the only RnB and soul music artiste i listen to with great passion are Praiz,Bez,Asa and Nneka.....the rest sing 4/10 of what a god like me needs. And trust me,if Tonto Dikeh records a song and broadcast on air,i'm sorry i'm gonna strike her to death. WARN HER!
You sound like a hiphop head. Can we talk?

Indifferent: I wasted my time reading this, yet i couldnt see any shot he took at M.I
You saw it but you missed it. ''I'm M.I BEFORE CHAIRMAN''...'chairman' is M.I's recent work if I'm not mistaken and most hiphop purists believe the song has got very weak bars and here is Boogey reiterating that. So by spitting 'I'm M.I before chairman', he(Boogey) is positing that M.I used to be d0pe before he dropped 'chairman', a wack joint. I Hope I tried.

Azonto: The final nail on the coffin that buried the creativity of Naija artistes. That's if they ever had any to begin with but you know what I find very funny and ironic? We used to diss the Ghanaians and South Africans about how monotonous their artsistes did sound. One beat one style and bla bla bla but look at our industry today! Hahaha but hey guys like us can't complain can we? Those that support them will call us haters, ask us whether we have eaten today. Some will tell us to go listen to hymns if we want good and inspirational music and the sad part of it is that these people make up the majority. Watch this space homie cos they are coming.

A wondergurl she truly is. Making a beat for a legend of rap at just 16. At that age, I had no clearcut idea of what I wanted to do with my life but that was quite a long time ago though. Thank God for the gift of life and the maturity that comes with it. I believe I'm gonna be working with her when I get my rap career moving. N.B: Anyone who reads more meaning into the last part of my post is a pervert.

Politics / Re: What Happened To The ALUU 4 Killers? . by Esinwaju: 4:33pm On Jun 02, 2013
Eight months gone since that tragic occurence yet I think about it every damn time. Not a single day goes by that my thought do not flow towards that. The sounds and visuals of that gory video is still very fresh in my memory. The cacophony of a depraved crowd urging the killers of those innocent boyz. The spluttering of blood as two by two planks and rocks bludgeoned the skulls and fine faces of those young lads. As they lay helpless and almost lifeless waiting for the final nail in the coffin. Then came the fire oh lawwwd! I still have thier song on my phone which I lay contantly, trying to imagine what would have been had those boys not been cut down in their prime. Lives were taken. Dreams were killed. Destinies were rendered unfufilled. Young poets who apparently from the beginning saw the end. No love in the heart of the city they said and right there on the streets of the city they met their deaths. Rest in peace fellas. Forever young.

Bones are a source of calcium and the contents of the marrow are highly nutritious.Trying to come across as posh is not a bad thing BUT the bad thing is when the person trying to act posh is not enlightened.

And the plans might be hindered by events beyond human control. But can they please just do something and tell us the result when it is done, instead of telling us and then failing? Please.
Confirm talk my homie! Too many stories we can write a script for a ten seasoned serie.

slam! bam! gbam! cool grin grin

right on!
It's people like some of the folks on this thread why so many girls/women think they need to be "made up" to "be somebody" or to be pretty. It's sickening how many of the despicable comments are coming from women!! Smh. I don't see anything wrong with the way she looks tbh. That's who she really is. smiley

At least she is proud of who she is...which is awesome because at the end of the day that's all that matters.
I clicked on the thread, saw a pic of a chocolate sister devoid of make up and with a pepsodent smile starring back at me. A daughter of Eve in her natural element only for me to scroll down and what I saw beneath were ludicrous comments from brain dead schmucks with serious ocular challenges. Anybody who calls that ugly needs serious brain and eye surgery.
