Mine was when I was still a kid I think I was 12 years then
so robbers came into our house back then that big Nokia phone was still existing my dad was using the Nokia while my mum was using sagem which she bought newly
So they broke our door and entered the house they first went to my dad's room which was before that of my mum's where I do sleep most times so when they were done at my dad room they came to my mum's room knocking to open the door so my dad asked her to open the door as they opened it
immediately they entered they went straight to me
pointed the gun at me and was threatening to shoot due to my mum's stubbornness at first well me na with my little man sense
what I kept on shouting and crying was "Mummy give them the phone"
They left finally sha

My mum narrated the whole story of what transpired to our neighbour especially my part
my friends used those words I said back then to laugh at me ehn
cox I too behave as if I get mind DAT time

Y'all know how plantain leaves looks like in the dark? That's what scared me when I was younger.

My compound was full of plantain trees and there was a day I was walking into the compound and NEPA did their job, everywhere became dark and the wind was so heavy that I ran inside to avoid the coming rain.

I ran past some trees before I got to the door......The door was unlocked but nobody was home, That was when the lightening started (Lightening scares me a lot) I looked into the dark plantation and thought I saw a figure. That moment i remembered a story I read about witches having their meetings in plantain trees. My heart raced, I couldn't run back outside as I had to pass between the trees before I get to the gate and I couldn't stay where I was or go inside {I was scared of staying alone in the house} .


That moment I told myself "All die na die" I ran through the trees like my life depended on it and stayed with people outside till my parents came back and we went inside.

I remember I couldn't sleep that night because I thought I interrupted the witches meeting and they were watching me angrily.
