It is rather a disgrace seeing how foolish people argue, The likes of Beaf have proven their empty skull or rather their dung filled brains on this forum, disgusting how you blindy support GEJ! Why wont he come out and prove how Atiku is really a thief for us in the debate since you guys have so much to spit hatred blindly here on NL about Atiku.
Waste of time to argue with a fool, fear or whatever u may call it: I will not reply to ur comment on this.
For the records I dont support Atiku. But u have made me doubt the abilty of GEJ because obviously ur points are daft and makes ur campaign foolish. |

kafanchan: Is that the function of a CBN governor? That aside, I think Nigerian of the year should be somebody that did something that impacted positively in the life of Nigerians, not somebody that gained cheap popularity by telling us what we already know (even decieved us by inflating the percentage). SUNUSI LAMIDO SUNUSI! So the banking sector doesnt affect human beings huh?! Go hang yourself, Hater! |

Beaf: Tell me under whose govt you felt this so called "clear vision /direction and an agenda."
1. Babangida 2. Abacha 3. Obasanjo 4. Yar Adua
People just seem to be making up standards as they go along, but I feel it is only because this govt is the very first under which practical standards can begin to be discussed and that bewilders the average Nigerian who is more used to being beaten and spat on, who is also used to climbing over his next door neighbour and stamping his own kids underfoot in a vain bid to get a few drops of fuel. Times have changed, thanks to GEJ and there is more to come. Sky Blue: Dude I have simply decided I will not bother with you anymore. Perhaps the fact that you feel the need to use Babangida, Abacha, Obasanjo and YarAdua as benchmarks for comparison says it all. You sound like a wife who has been so battered by her husband she doesn't know any better and hence sees it as normal. I make no apologies for having reasonable expectations, especially from a leader who came in the way Jonathan did, no forseeable godfather to please, etc. Please just ignore my posts from now on because I won't bother. It is not that we might have differing views, but more about the fact that you are only in it to "win" arguments in such pettishly childish ways (rather than actually having sincere and objective discussions where ever Jonathan is concerned - something I find disingenuous and irritating; definately not above the standards set by those on the forum who seem to dislike him based solely on his ethnicity (won't name names)). Have a nice day Seconded! Somethings are just not worth wasting time. |

Bawss1: Off topic but still I keep wondering where this ''threatened to nationalize MTN theory'' came from. How is this remotely possible? Nationalize a a private company?! Where has this been done before? How come if such an absurdity is feasible they never threatened to nationalize Shell or Chevron ?
It is amazing; the human penchant for exaggeration. Lol, that beats me too. On a lighter note I believe our Govt has been playing too much games on this whole issue and hence I smell a lot of foul play. A lot of people are not looking in both directions while arguing, but just for selfish or tribalistic interests, if there is such a word, lol. |

KILLING of any human being xtian or muslim is not the way forward for any religion, My heart goes out to all that died during this massacre and the previous one. My question though is, why was there no such upsurge during the January killings of these fulanis? Why didnt the governor lay claims and allegations? Until such questions are being addressed, Nigeria will continue in this path (God forbid though!). Don't get me wrong also cause each and every evil done has to be treated equally for there to be justice. So now what? the Berom people will 2mrw organise and lay attack on fulanis? then another round of revenge reoccuring? NIGERIANS, please lets be cautious how we spread these hatred, as far as I know fulanis barely practice religion, their only stronghold is their family and their cattles. When they refer to fulanis here, they are the cattle rearers in the village and bush whom have zero education and religious back ground. We have to pray for peace from God which is the best solution and not let the US propaganda of Nigeria disintegrating in 2015 come to reality! |

The commonwealth has 54 countries. while the OIC has 56 Islamic countries. If you had add 54 + 56. You get 110 countries that would accept the north as a country. We have to look for ways to fund it, share revenue. That was a quick correction man! was about to launch an attack, lol |

He actually brought the price of oil from N70 to N65 and its still maintained till otherwise, Niger delta crisis has been resolved and production increased, now there is an obligatory refinery building b4 license is issued to oil companies. Personally electricity has drastically improved in my neighborhood almost 70percent availability now. He might not be what we wanted overall, but there are positive achievements within his administrations and will definately increase with time. Wish him quick recovery and a better Nigeria within his term. |

I'm sick and tired of all these side comments just because its a northerner doing the job here. What ever happened to givin benefit of the doubt firstly? There was a period when ponzi business was the talk of the day, all within the govt eyes it went collapsing with innocent peep's money. That was not enough, the stock market came crashing and still no strong action taken by the govt. Now our banks are smelling trouble and some foolish idiots are saying sharia, arab, hausa-fulani and whatever is the root of this not remembering that it is for our own sake at the end of the day. May be they want the banks to collapse also, who knows? And we are left with what? Oil? Sanusi please carry on with your good deeds, as Nigerians never see the good in a tough and bold decision. I challenge everyone to go and check his records before thinking Sanusi would be involved of such accusations. For heaven sake aren't there Hausas in the list of debtors? In fact they have a large percentage of it. |

gabe_logan: i am going to agree with bobby16
asians are not the smartest people. i am currently studying for a masters in international business and my class is as multi-cultural as they come (u can find someone from every continet in that class) and the smartest person is a kenyan, by a mile.
there are a bunch of indians and asians in my class but they have never struck me as exceptional in terms of intelligence. and also worthy of note is that we do a lot of group work and in most of them, the groups which is comprised primarily of africans usually emerge as the best.
it felt quite bad when we africans were underrated at the beginning of the course but further into the course, most of the lectureres had a change of heart. i had personally been told by a couple of my lectureres that i was a brilliant student (me that i barely graduated with a 2:2 less than 2 years ago form my school in nigeria).
the nigerian tetiary educational system does not allow for creativity. as a student, you are not encouraged to be creative in your school work, you have to put down what your lecturere has dictated or what is provided in the handouts, plus the presence of corruption makes matters worse. nigerian students are probably the most flexible, academically, they can adjust to any situation.
@ bobby64 concerning what u said about ivy league schools, i had that feeling too. i once asked a friend if the pre-requisite for getting into such schools most at times is your academic ability or your family wealth. because most rich kids go to those schools and those kids don't strike me as smart. Chairman, I beg if u dont mind which school are u attending? Im having problem with my admissions cos I finished with a 2:2! |
