Yes. They are not mutually exclusive to each other.

People can be good fathers to their children and bad husbands to their wife. Growing up, I know plenty of good wives but bad mothers.
Okay.

Congrats on your conversion. You aren't doing anything wrong as you're a frugal person with a spouse that shares that vision with you so enjoy it and maximize it.
To answer your question, personal finance gurus say that rent shouldn't be more than your 3 months salary. If you're building your place then you're justified to maintain that room till you complete your building but if you're not building yet I believe your wife is really UNDERSTANDING.

I started that way but ensured that I got a bigger space courtesy my oga as I needed a maid for my son.

A family in a single room is too FRUGAL based on your income but if your wife is fine with it especially with the current state of the economy. How do you guy mikpo with a child in the room (dont mind me biko)

Serious mistake! If a senior banking officer earn more than a million naira, then a deputy manager will earn about 1.5 m and a manager around 1.8m. So a senior manager will earn about 2M. What is now the salary of an AGM? Banks don't pay this way...
You have gone to calculate it into monthly payments hence the seeming impossibility.
They get monthly payments and quarterly payments also. The total package will be inclusive of leave allowance and upfront so don't divide the sum into 12 and assume that's how it works.

You don't have data because if you did, you wouldn't doubt me and also know I understated the fact.

No accommodation? Ahhh! On top 70k? Thanks for your reply sir. I'm just thinking if it's worth it or I just continue my small scale business
The choice is yours. If you scale through, your monthly take home will be about 400k plus.
If your business has better prospects of growth, you can make the choice but an experience in a structured environment can help your business scale better in the long-term.

I love Elumelu, but no comparison between UBA and FBN. FBN first if you are going for old school bank. UBA is more innovative though. But for peace of mind, salary and growth - FBN.

For a woman, please go to FBN.
Those people work like Ministry of Interior.

grin grin grin
Your mouth no good at the closing statement o. embarassed

Good day all, please help a brother.
Please, how long is the graduate trainee program? Is is possible for an average person to meet the cutoff mark at the end? What about accommodations and salary?
3 months classes if I'm not mistaken. If you scaled the process, you can meet the cut-off. You'll do your part by reading......
No accommodation. You sort that yourself.
The salary was 70k but I think it has been increased.

I am curious, what are the pay packages of banks in Nigeria (entry-level to managerial levels)?
I hope you don't assume it's a monthly payment as I think that made you curious.

That's the annual package for that grade.

I don't have the figures sir.

Plesse expatiate on the lack of ambition based on your experience as I'm curious.

You grow faster in sales than operations except you're in a strategic unit in H/O

Acidosis:
As a pro-marriage advocate on this forum for over a decade and as someone who experienced a solid marriage to a perfect and complete "Proverbs 31" woman for a few years, I can say I no longer advise people to get married—except for consecrated Christians who are committed to avoiding the sin of fornication. Marriage has serious complexities that are absolutely beyond your control, and I’ve come to understand that it's not for everyone.
I am challenged by this.
May God bless her soul.

What roles are you going for? I know UBA is sales and FirstBank is operations most likely.

What do you want in a baking career?

Alright that seems easier. Please will they be a specific type of guarantors required e g those in civil service or having a specific amount in their account?
I don't know if it has changed but you'll be given the criteria the person must meet.

Fund is always the live wire of any business which I don't have right now.. other conditions like harsh economic situation and policies, and even business life cycle ( every business has a life cycle) are serious limiting factors.. I still have a burning desire to being a entrepreneur again but I have got to raise funds.. which is why I'm considering paid employment. Entry level Age and work experience have been always been a major determinant in the Nigerian employment arena
You can take risks and throw in your application as long you know you can do the job. You'll be contacted. It's mostly graduate trainee roles that have emphasis on age.
Apply to the jobs you first and let them see you.
